Eh are you sure he even knows that he's a party companion? He could easily think he is if he has an important role that isn't a companion... like a reoccurring adviser like a lof of us think.

This isn't so much a Cullen discussion. This is a discussion about Greg Ellis' tweet, specifically. Everyone may read it and interpret whatever they want. I'm taking it at face value. He said "YES" - all caps - to romance and companionship. 

Then that should be in the Twitter thread. I know you're excited, I am too, I just don't want anyone coming down on us for "flooding the forums".

Sounds good. However, I find it hard to believe Bioware would allow Cullen, of all people, to be confirmed as a companion and LI in this manner.

I'm getting dizzy because I keep turning around and around with my opinions.  First, I was convinced that Cullen was a companion because we saw him in the concept art, survey, and knew that Greg was in the studio again.  Then, I became convinced that he's not a companion because people pointed out that he was never shown with a weapon and it would make sense that the three advisors would be in the war room concept art (I'm buying Leliana and Scribe Girl as espionage and trade advisors at this point).  Now I don't know what to think.  Technically, Cullen could still be an NPC with a major role (like a military advisor), but those tweets sounds more like he is a companion.  What I'm concerned about is the word "companionship".  That's not the same as being a companion, but it could be.  I believe that he's an LI, but I'm not sure what his role will be.  I guess we'd know if we heard that LIs were just companions or if there are some NPC romances.

 

This speculation/spoiling of companions and LIs is fun, but frustrating at times.

He has had about 20 hours of voice recording done. Sounds like a companion to me. 

 

We don't know that for sure, though.  I'm sure that Seth Green probably had about that much recording time for Joker in ME 3, but he wasn't a squad member.  I'm expecting that he is a companion and LI, but I'm just saying that we should hold out with the "confirmation" statements because technically he didn't confirm that.

Ugh thanks for reminding me. Old Jokermance thread got so happy cause Joker had so many lines...and alot of them are about romancing EDI.
