wonder what the paints mean.
Seems like turians would have subsumed any clannish or tribal social structures into their pervasive military state a long time ago.
maybe they're unit affiliations?
edit: oh, right, it's a colony vs Palaven thing

Based on ME3 multiplayer, I kinda hope they go with a more modular approach to leveling protagonists in ME4 rather than rigid classes with set abilities.
They came up with a lot of really neat powers (especially for multiplayer) and it would be cool to be able to mix-and-match. Whether it were completely free-form or still had guidelines based on class. Like if a single-player Sentinel got to pick out any three biotic powers and any three tech powers from a broad selection or something, while an engineer just got to pick any six tech powers.
Yeah, Tactical Cloak + Cryo ammo + Disruptor ammo + Sticky Grenade + Sabotage + Incinerate makes sense for Infiltrator, but something like Cloak + Marksman + Recon Mine + Drone + Submission Net would similarly evoke the whole high-tech guile thing Infiltrators are supposed to have.
I think it'd be neat if the single-player classes were separated only by their ~iconic~ powers and passives (if even that) and you had a lot of latitude to pick-and-choose everything else
I've never liked his face. Back when my brother and I would play ME1, we'd call him crapface.garrus is not a nice looking turian
nihlus had nice paint
lorik qui'in
I've always felt insulted that bioware might have actually though I'd want to do Garrus. His romance is nothing but sex, but why would I want to hit that?
I always make fun of people who say they want to do him or have done him. I call him a raptor
maybe you would have liked it better if shepard hadn't been railroaded into close friendship with certain characters (garrus, tali, liara)
the whole "I'm not actually attracted to humans, but crave intimacy with my one close friend" schtick garrus's romance has might have come off better if his friendship were something players chose to cultivate
But regardless of all that, I think it was a mistake to have FemShep be so lascivious about the romance (much like with jacob) rather than having her reciprocate with "I'm not into turians either but I'm really lonely and you're one of the few people I trust"
I understood fandom attraction to garrus as a reaction to the way the straight-male-gaze-friendly alien nerdbait in ME1 wasn't matched by similar straight-female-gaze-friendly alien nerdbait, but once bioware made drell - who, like asari, are actually attractive - to fill that role, it's a tad weirder to see people professing attraction to a spiky armored cat-lizard-bird-lobster-thing.
whatever happened to executor pallin anyway
now there was a good guy
but yeah it's weird that they so often weirdly present FemShep as this kind of sex kitten person?
with jacob, obviously, but also with garrus and occasionally kaidan, plus Traynor
There were originally only twinges of that with Thane, but I guess that went out the window with the dry-humping in ME3
MaleShep is only like that with Mranda (and only in a couple of dialogs) so it's not equitable
I wonder if the male writers just have an ingrained "storng female protagonist -> must be sexually assertive and dominant regardless of circumstances, in order to convey strength" impulse
yeah well i don't really mind a "romance" being about just sex or not being about sex at all. i'd really be happy to see an asexual relationship if they could have pulled it off?
but with Garrus it's just impossible cause his entire character is - duuuh crappy one liners, assumed close friendship and some hinted tension with his police work/family/whatever. i just never understand where all the things about Garrus come from, i don't see the inner logic in what they were doing with him
i don't see the problem with people enjoying it or with the romance existing, except for when his friendship is a default for everyone and i just end up eating up the content that other people wanted. where do i unsubscribe from garrus
shooting falere after samara shoots herself is still worst renegade choice
also shooting shiala
those hapless batarian looters on Omega in me2
so many pointless murders
various points where the "make tuff choices" premise of Renegade is supplanted by outright psychopathy
On the other hand killing all quarians,
well that's just efficient
the lazarus/cerberus plotline might have ended up being dumb, but I think the prologue of ME2 (the loss of the SR1 and Shepard's death) was some really nice choreography and visual work.
very pretty, very visceral
great use of scale (stepping out onto the ruined upper deck and being enfolded by the vista of Alchera is a great moment)
genuine sense of trauma and violence
ME3's prologue is obviously terrible and ME1's suffered from lack of polish.
ME2 has the best prologue in much the same way that ME1 has the best finale.
i just realize that all the disgusting Joker innuendos mean that EDI has a built-in vagina
i don't want to live on this planet anymore

I prefer to believe she has a modular compartment there which she usually uses to store grenades or something
bahahaha
let's call it a crowbeak instead

I'll bet she doesn't let him put it in
she is a robot, she would find this idea gross and inefficient
