That's fine, really.

It's a whole other thing to find a way to post in every damn topic that you want them to change the ending. It´s not going to happen.

At this point, we're simply trying to keep the awfulness from speading to the next game

I don't want them to do anything. They are not believeable anymore.

There's an article out there about DA:I where the guy in charge says there won't be colored endings. I believe Bioware sincerely knows they screwed things up with the last games in the ME and DA franchises and so need to spend the extra time on both respective next installments to win back their customers. ME3 still needs a proper ending but that ship has sailed and MEHEM and possible new content in the next trilogy is all we have.

he also says it won't be video "game-y". Which is essentially what the ME3 devs said.

ME4 is an absolutely terrible idea

I disagree.

Of course those who are not interested in Mass Effect games are free to choose not to buy them.

I'm very interested in real Mass Effect games, which are ME1 and ME2. It's jist other abominations that pretend to be ME that I'm not interested in. There is a distinction.

I'd like to believe that.  But they also seem to sincerely believe that the problem with ME3's ending was that it was "too confusing" I seriously doubt it enters their minds that the ending was simply bad.  The "screw you" Refusal ending even suggests to me that they resent those who didn't love their ideas.

So I'm not all that hopeful that MENext will do much to win people back.  And I hope they realize that ME3 is at this point the sole reason I'm not leaping all over DAI.

Why are there people here saying they're not interested in any new ME games and that they're not going to buy the next one? If that's your view (and its a stupid ****** view)... then why are you in this forum?

Exactly. Reasonable people say their piece - even a lengthy one - and then movee onn.

Some people don't buy more games from a developer that kicks them in the quad. Others take the kick, convince themselves to like it and, apparently, come back to say "Actually that wasn't so bad, could I have more? I'll pay you to do it!". And yes, one of these two categories are reasonable people.

People like the complain about stuff on the internet and the first 33%, 66%, or 99% of the Mass Effect series.

I'm probably going to end up getting ME4 (not at full price), although I am most anxious for the arrival of DA:I so that keeps me coming back.

Well, I won't buy a game that either A. doesn't have the same races as before or B. has synthesis as canon.

For one thing, Bioware might just come back and surprise us.  It's unlikely, but there is a nonzero chance that the new team just might find a way to fix things.

Also, because this is an ME3 forum, and we all own registered copies of ME3.  Therefore, we can be here and complain all we want, as long as we stay within forum rules.  COntrary to what others might think, there is no expiration date on disappointment.

Finaly, DAI info is coming slowly so we need something to talk about. :D

I felt absolutely no pain from ME3. Sorry you did, but thankfully you're off the floor now - I've heard kicks to the quad hurt. I can't imagine why someone would try to hang around and communicate anything to/about the person who did it to them 2 years after the event, but oh well. The person would have to have been mentally or emotionally scarred from it - so if you are, I'm sorry.

Sarcasm intended, but really, your vitriol is pointless now. They've heard it all. Now it's up to you, me, and everyone else to decide to withhold our money, spend whatever amount, or ignore Bioware entirely. Negativity now is about as effective as blowing on a mountain and expecting it to move. 2012 was the time for that; don't mistake my Catalyst avatar as approval of the character btw.

I don't, because I've sold mine :D . But I did have it for a few months, and a few months too long.

Well, to be honest, I just happened to find this new shiny BioWare forum and got all nostalgic about the shenanigans we all got up to after the sh!t hit the fan in March, you know? And then I found out I can post in this section without actually having ME3 registered anymore (impossible before) and went like that: http://37.media.tumb...h2mpqo1_500.gif

Oh. Okay - you're basically trolling then. Haha.

EDIT: Also don't mistake this for disagreeing with *venomous* critques of EA/Bioware/current Mass Effect (I agree with many of them, heck, maybe most). This is just totally not the place for it at this point and you're pretty much on the way to a suspension/ban, not that you care ;)

Isn't "saying controversial things just to get a response from people" a definition of trolling? Saying things like "I liked Mass Effect 3's ending?" Because now, that IS trolling!

EDIT to respond to the EDIT: But can I pick the colour of my hypothetical ban? Can I have it in red? ;)

-I didn't like ME3's ending. I tolerated-to-accepted it, really just after all the DLC, and largely just because I have a pet theory that would have you calling me to be institutionalized (not just IndocTheory). Haha.

-It's not trolling anyway. Saying "I don't like ME3's ending" or "I like ME3's ending" is almost always not trolling. Duh.

-Yes, you can have it in Red :). Now take a breath, stand up, and go for a walk ;). And go ahead and withhold your money to the rEApers. That's fine. But please, being so 'Renegade' about it at this point is.. like I said, like trying to move a mountain with your breath. Whatever Bioware or Bioware Forumites are gonna do, is pretty decided for now - at least until info on the next game starts coming in.

The ME3 mountain won't move.  But maybe the MENext one will.

It's a tiny hope, but it's all we have for a setting that used to be good.

And my avatar is of a character I do approve of:  "Squeaky wheel gets the kick!"

Hey, I'm not trying to move anything here. I'm just proof of the fact that the ME3 debacle (not just the ending, but the PR etc.) was so catastrophically bad that people still remember it after two years. And from what I see here, it's not just me. It really was that bad. It's like with Star Wars prequels, basically.

Like I was saying, anything they've decided on, they've decided on. Saying "I don't want Shepard referenced at all, I want a total reboot/movement away from the trilogy" over and over, for example, does absolutely nothing at all for the next game at this point. It's 2014 and they're deep into development on their own plans now. This is no longer squeaky wheel time (that was 2012-maybe 2013) - only broken record time. I can't police you, nor do I want to, but after so many posts saying essentially the exact same thing, they've got the message.. really.

Not Phantom Menace. No way. That's a whole other level. Even if you hate ME3's ending and consider the rest of the game to be weak, it still doesn't match watching Phantom Menace nowadays. You'd have to pay me $1000+..

I'll give you the other 2, maybe.

And yeah, if I was somehow asked by BW what their biggest faults with ME3 was, their PR would be near the top of the list. Holy crap...

The mountain thing was metaphor, of course.

Main point is: whatever you say here isn't going to help much if you're looking for big change (example: Bioware folding and EA being shut down/severely punished) of any sort, or even for any people to change their minds about purchases, so you might as well be nicer here while you're on Bioware's own forums. Or not and eventually get banned, lolidc at this point. Go ahead and say this stuff on other forums if you want though. They can't stop you, and it's up to the moderation over there to even care.

Who the hell believes PR or commercials nowadays?

I've used quite a lot of AXE in my life. Never have I been chased by hordes of women. (highest is 2 women)
