What we really need is a ME prequel.

Wherein the Reapers and biotics are actually composed of microscopic bacteria, Shepard's father is the Chosen One, who became a Reaper, 75% of the game is two people sitting on couches and walking slowly, and generally are an affront to human intelligence.

Like I was saying, anything they've decided on, they've decided on. Saying "I don't want Shepard referenced at all, I want a total reboot/movement away from the trilogy" over and over, for example, does absolutely nothing at all for the next game at this point. It's 2014 and they're deep into development on their own plans now. This is no longer squeaky wheel time (that was 2012-maybe 2013) - only broken record time. I can't police you, nor do I want to, but after so many posts saying essentially the exact same thing, they've got the message.. really.

Not Phantom Menace. No way. That's a whole other level. Even if you hate ME3's ending and consider the rest of the game to be weak, it still doesn't match watching Phantom Menace nowadays. You'd have to pay me $1000+..

I'll give you the other 2, maybe.

And yeah, if I was somehow asked by BW what their biggest faults with ME3 was, their PR would be near the top of the list. Holy crap...

The mountain thing was metaphor, of course.

Main point is: whatever you say here isn't going to help much if you're looking for big change (example: Bioware folding and EA being shut down/severely punished) of any sort, or even for any people to change their minds about purchases, so you might as well be nicer here while you're on Bioware's own forums. Or not and eventually get banned, lolidc at this point. Go ahead and say this stuff on other forums if you want though. They can't stop you, and it's up to the moderation over there to even care.

Not just Phantom Menace, I think Clones was even worse and this thing here had Clones' level of suck! No wonder the Starkid is also known as Star Jar Binks ;) As for the rest - fair enough.

Who the hell believes PR or commercials nowadays?

I've used quite a lot of AXE in my life. Never have I been chased by hordes of women. (highest is 2 women)

PR =/= advertising. Have you been here (well, not here, on BSN) during the main uproar? If you weren't, and your registration date says you weren't, unless you had a different account, then you simply don't know.

I was here during the uproar. What PR are you talking about specifically?

Like I was saying, anything they've decided on, they've decided on.

That goes for telling people to stop complaining about the ending, too. :P  At this point telling them to stop about the ME3 ending is about as useless as them complaining to BioWare about it.

I was here during the uproar. What PR are you talking about specifically?

Examples:

1) Jessica Merizan saying "The Normandy got stranded on Mars!" Yeah, sure.

2) Stanley Woo saying "if you want to call an ending to an epic sci-fi trilogy "RGB", then you are free to do so, but it is you calling it that, not BioWare" (not an exact quote, it was a while ago). Followed by someone going through the files and finding videos for the endings were named "red", "green" and "blue".

3) ALL of the "artistic integrity" excuses. And there were A LOT of them.

4) The PAX East Panel. Come on, there was a 80 or 90 pages long topic with people posting what was being said (there was no video feed). The 80 or 90 pages mostly consisted of people reacting with utter bewilderment and fits of rage over how it was handled.

5) The open letter on BioWare Blog on the Extended Cut - more artistic integrity excuses, "clarify and bring closure" etc. Seriously, don't people remember that?

6) "We're not changing the ending". And then they changed it. They did, because the Normandy does not seem to explode in flight, the relays are no longer destroyed, just damaged etc. But no, let's still pretend we have an "artistic vision" and we're sticking to it. That's how credibility is gradually lost.

And that was all just of the top of my head.

hmm, where should it go? well Ive been thinking on this for a while now.

When they ended ME3 they kind of shot themselves in the foot in terms of continuity of choice, so if they make a game where it has multiple versions of the same story arc I will cry because that will mean the games going to be short  and sectioned.

I personally think they should cannon a specific ending and roll with it, preferably for control and come up with a reason for where the reapers went after they repaired everything. but the other 2 colors have an equal chance of this happening, however destroy is probably the best option of cannon endings because it gets the reapers out the way however it does mean that the whole synthetics vs organics issue may come up again which would be frustrating for everyone I think tbh.

I think the game will be a sequel and they apparently had a panel for this and decided on sequel, so im going to roll with that, what id like to see:

- 800 to 1000 years in the future

- "some" ship to ship combat

- Fully customization ship

- Fully customization armor....maybe crafting to?

- Be able to choose your race

- Much more improve facial customization options.

- Continue to have as much choice as we've always had (although some would debate we had any at all lol)

- Fully Voiced Main character ( I know some see that as impossible if we have racial choice, but its really not thanks to todays voice changing technology, 1 person can be the voice for multiple characters but you can also have extremely good voice actors to).

- Plot: Story being significant but not over the top galaxy shaking like the reapers situation was. Could be good old revenge or some sort of mad scientist or mad-man scenario.

-  Atmosphere:  Better balance between humorous atmosphere and emotional as every time I played mass effect 3 I always felt depressed, not because i knew what was coming but my character is always an emotional wreck which tbh from how i played my male & femshep wasn't at all.

- no more scan and collect missions.

- no more forced dialogue apart from major cut-scenes.

- No mention of reapers - on a side note if they do allow you to important and the game play is based on whether synthesis or control or destroy was chosen then if they do the reapers should only be referred to as the "guardians" if you chose synth or control and they shouldn't be talked about much at all. May have a passing mention of Shepard as well, but I would prefer some sort of war museum or something.

I think over all, the coolest thing they could do is probably something to do with the Andromeda galaxy and possibly some sort of exploration dreadnought and you're sent to the Andromeda galaxy to see what could do to help them as they've already prepared their own galaxy but then they end up being surrounded by enemies wherever they go.  Or maybe the oravores survived the prothean cycle somehow as they were war like and made their way to Andromeda and they had conquered the Andromeda galaxy and ended up being your main enemy.Though this does go against my position of not having anything galaxy shaking this time round it still would be quite cool to be honest. Anyway IMO the only way to move forward with the universe is to do a game where for one half they are in their own galaxy then in Andromeda or something like that for the other half. IDK it just makes our currently ME galaxy seem small after the trilogy.

idk im just throwing this out there, they did really shoot themselves in the foot lore wise for future games but idk maybe if the game ends up being good enough then most of us can ignore it. that being said, it will have to be a very good game for that to happen i guess. lol

I had to get a new account under the same name and it was amazing that time around. I had to lay off the forums for awhile. That's how bad it was the storm fury over the endings was just terrible....

Also don't forget Jessica Merizan suggesting that Destroy only removes EDI's Reaper enhancements and turns the geth back into a networked intelligence.  So much for that idea.

Also, IT being a valid interpretation (just don't talk about it)

If we're thinking about the same letter, I remember it being true.

Missed that one. I don't know why anyone thought Merizan would have any special insight, though.

Here you go: http://forum.bioware...-twitter-feeds/

It was actually longer than I remembered. 122 pages worth of rage.

In a sequel, sure. This wouldn't be true of a prequel though.

True. This is one of the many reasons I hope the next game takes place after the war.
