I'm sure most if not everyone knows that when in a system to do a mission that pinging will not alert the reapers and once that mission is completed, the reapers still won't be alerted to the pinging like in other systems.

Upon catching up with Saren in the Council Chamber in ME1, you can see the Serpent Nebula out of the window. Except... hang on, aren't the Ward Arms supposed to be closed?! Shouldn't they be in the way?
Perhaps it is a projection of what is outside?
It is not a projection, when Sovereign explodes you/Shepard see(s) the fragment(s) flying toward the tower.
Similar to that: At the Starchild conversation, the Wards seem to be in normal opened position.
But a few moments before that, we see this:

In this position the wards should visible reach higher than the presidium-ring.

When Shepard is shown after going up the elevator, Shepard is on his/her hands and knees facing the direction that the catalyst is seen walking towards Shepard.
For that to of happened, Shepard had to turn around and face in that direction. When Shepard is seen going up the elevator, his/her feet and hand can be seen hanging over the edge of the platform. Before getting to the decision chamber, Shepard regained consciousness and placed herself/himself on his/her hands and knees to avoid losing the hand and feet. When the elevator reached the chamber, Shepard turned around and shakes her/his head just as the catalyst walks towards him/her. I guess its possible that Shepard turned around while going up the elevator though I believe its unlikely

Clearly Shepard must have moved. I mean, if he didn't his hand would have been torn off. Since it was hanging off the edge when he it lifted him up.

A couple of tie-ins with another Bioware universe I just noticed.
This should probably be more "Thing you just discovered in Dragon Age" but I just noticed one of Tallis' daggers in Mark of the Assassin is called Thane.
Also the turian that shoots Forvan, the poisioning batarian bartender on Omega, is called Ogrinn.

As soon as Shepard jumps on the elevator that 's carrying the council and Ashley/Kaidan different lines of dialogue will be heard
If Ashley is on the elevator
Asari councilor will say "What was that?" or "Did you feel that?" Don't know what triggers which line
Ashley will say "Gunmen. Get down!
If Kaidan is on the elevator
Asari councilor will say "What's that noise?" or "That was a person". Again I don't know what triggers which line is used
Kaidan will say "Gunmen. Get down!

There is at least one shared place name in Dragon Age and Mass Effect as well.
In Mass Effect 1 one of the uncharted worlds you can explore is named Amaranthine. This was later used as the name for the city the Howes, and later your Warden, ruled in Dragon Age.

Interesting. Is it tied to what version of that Councilor is in that scene? Or do both versions get the same lines?

I just found a strange poem/note in the dwarven deep roads. I don't remember precisely what it said but it started with "mass has an effect" and somewhere mentions "what kind of drawrf is named Shepard?"

I've got both versions with the same councilor.
It could be anything that triggers what dialogue the councilor uses.

IIRC, that dwarf named Shepard died from an axe to the head, after an especially long elevator ride.
Silly reapers, trying so hard with indoctrination and jets of liquid ferromagnetic material fired at relativistic velocities. Axes.

As many times as I have played this, I finally heard the full Cerberus trooper dialogue in the room on Mars where Liara tells Shepard to take cover right after using the vehicle lift to get out of the garage. Normally, I just grab that one trooper before his dialogue is done. Now I know that the troopers are under the impression that it is some scientists that took out the Cerberus team in the garage.

Just noticed that the cannon targeting changes after you reconfigure it during Cerberus Attack mission. Initially the fighters are shown in red and the cruiser in blue. After reconfiguring, the colors are reversed.
Also found out that on a non-import run Javik won't mention Jack when exploring her old "quarters". He instead comments on turian-human joint construction of the Normandy and says that the other species in his cycle would've exploited that knowledge.

What I find odd is that if Jack dies during the SM, then Javik will claim that she did not get her revenge even if you did her LM in ME2. I guess the assumption was that loyal team mates would have survived? Seems odd that they didn't come up with an alternate dialogue in which Jack got revenge, but still died during the SM.

Was Jack's LM even about revenge? I always viewed it as dealing with the past. If she wanted revenge she would've went after active Cerberus facilities. Always found Javik's words about it weird. What I find odd is that if Jack dies during the SM, then Javik will claim that she did not get her revenge even if you did her LM in ME2. How did you lose Jack on the SM?
That would depend on the playthrough. Normally, when I want her dead, I side with Miranda and then have Jack die holding the line. Sometimes I skip the armor upgrade. All depends on who else I want dead and what my role playing for that playthrough dictates.

No armor upgrade, 2nd fireteam leader, hold the line and during the walk with the barrier. That's if she's loyal.
If she isn't loyal, she can die as above plus when fighting the terminator or escorting the crew back to the Normandy

I almost never walk around in the upper street area of the SilverSun strip, so I only recently discovered the N7 Fury talking to the requisitions officer, and the vanilla Human Soldier and Human Engineer complaining about all the new multiplayer classes.

Here's some old news but totally important ![]()
Krogan's aren't the only ones with Charge. In ME2 you can storm into enemies and it does damage to them. Seems to take effect from melee bonus, at least my Kestrel armor with 30% melee boost did more damage than another char without it.
The real down side is that the trigger for it is really poor. Had to storm into an enemy multiple times just to see it happen once.
I don't remember if I've ever noticed this in ME3.

During my second character playthrough of Mass Effect 3, I decided to take Liara and Ashley to take back the Normandy instead of my LI Garrus. He had this gem to say after James cut through the jamming in the clone fight:
Not sure if it's romance-exclusive or not, but I thought it was pretty hilarious. I also got to listen to it about 30 times since I was playing on Insanity and kept dying to Warp stagger + bullet spam >.>
In addition, this is my first post after months of lurking on the forums. Woo ~.~

Just discovered that during the Leviathan DLC Shepard is locked in Bryson's lab until she accesses Bryson's galaxy map. Then, after using the map, the doors are unlocked, but you cannot leave in the skycar. EDI says "Shepard, we should not leave until we have found information on Garneau's whereabouts."
MUST FOLLOW PLOT BEFORE LEAVING! LAB NEEDS TO BE RESET FOR NEXT VISIT! ![]()
