I met with Captain Ventralis at Rift Station and at the end of the dialogue the Rachni pop up. I used a Singularity on them and it apparently sent one into a wall, or through the floor. In any event, it was unreachable, so I just decided to press on and not worry about it. I talked to Dr. Cohen about making an antidote and had to go back to talk to Captain Ventralis to get his permission to enter the quarantine lab. That's when I discovered this dialogue I didn't know existed.

That also happened to me once. I returned to him and Ventralis was all bothered that I didn't help him.

I tend to do that most times. I usually don't like hanging around here for long, and after I kill the rachni the game likes to instantly put me into conversation with the Captain again. I tell my squad to kill the rachni and move Shepard far enough away from Ventralis, that way I get the xp but don't have to talk to Ventralis a second time.

When you save Captain Riley in the Fuel Reactors mission, she has multiple lines of dialogue. After one about thanking Shepard for saving their asses she mentions finding a log about what happened in the reactor. Unfortunately I had already clicked on the mission end button and missed the exact line. Will be something new for my canon playthrough :)

I just noticed that as Sovereign detaches from the Citadel Tower there are four, umbilical-like things that detach from the tower. I guess the geth must have plugged it into the tower with those.

I never noticed how much the Consort and her acolytes resembled descriptions of the makeup as well as the duties and skills of the Japanese Geisha (although pretty much the exact opposite in terms of clothing.)  Now I feel silly that I didn't catch that sooner.

Sorry for the double post, but I just ran into this for the first time.

In ME1, on the planet Nonuel, there is an element node way in the northeast corner of the zone.  It's actually out of bounds of the zone.  Joker doesn't start yelling at you until you're more or less on top of the node itself.  I never bothered to go that far before, so I figured why not.  I got there, and much to my complete surprise there was a thresher maw waiting for me!  He ambushed me...twice, but I managed to live.  Gave me a good jump scare though.  I'm very thankful that I bothered to max out my electronics.

Liara's and Matriarch Aethyta's dialogue after you "force" her to talk to her 'dad" in the Presidium Commons in ME3. All of the dialogues are quite funny, especially Aethyta talking about 'Nezzies "rack" (and the whistle at the end) Just need to walk away several meters and come back to trigger the next one, you don't need to leave the Citadel like most other random dialogue trees

Also, not totally sure on the triggers exactly, but ... If you're romancing Liara, one of the final sequences has Matriarch Aethyta asking/mentioning to Liara how many times she's "popped Shepard's thermal clip". If you are NOT romancing Liara, she mentions how Liara looks and Shepard, and suggest that Liara's Panties should be one fire.

Javik and Lieutenant Tolan on Sur'Kesh both refuse to shake Shepard's hand.

Maybe there are even more throughout the game, I'll keep an eye out.

That's funny, because that's one of Jack's lines if you're a Soldier (or non Biotic)... same actress as Aethyta though.

I always reject Dr. Chakwas offer for a drink. It seemed too final. I tried it this time. I didn't know she mentions the LI (in this case, Jack).

EDI is the only crew member that Shepard starts talking to after the non-priority missions. In all other small talks the first line belongs to the crew members.

Chakwas mentioned Jack in both my playthroughs where I romanced someone else, including one where Jack died on the SM. I think she always does, actually.

Oh, that's cool.

Nice to know Chakwas simply remembers her then. I would've loved to see her at the Citadel party, and get her thoughts on everyone.

I've recently taken to visiting all squad members and Joker/EDI after virtually every mission. There is an incredible amount of interactions, I've never seen before, despite having done dozens of playthrough's.

My current Broshep recently had a dialogue with Joker (almost an argument) revolving around how Joker was 'ordered" to take care of Shep by Admiral Hackett i think.

Can't remember the actual full dialogue, but it was quite touching, and very well done. There is also many times when squad members will not be in their "usual" spots and you find them talking or having arguments with someone else on the ship, sometimes heartfelt, and sometimes funny.

It pays to wander the halls of the Normandy between missions I've found. Even asking Joker "About the last mission" has some great one liners about the various squadmates. And asking EDI 'What's on her mind" has some great replies (I especially like her replies about Artificial Intelligence and the difference between her and the Geth and Reapers).

And little does Joker know that his family was killed...

Poor guy. I should be patting him on the back.

edit: Speaking of which, this was the first time I read the asset update on that Huntress... I didn't know she uses the gun to kill herself. At least, that's what it sounded like.

Yeah, if you allow her to have the gun, she kills some doctors then kills herself.

OK... I was confused.. it says "Commando" in the asset, but I figured it was the same woman.

I was hoping she'd find some resolve and just be part of the Defense Force.

Note to self: Don't give guns to traumatized people.

The easiest way to avoid it is to not stick around for the entire conversation.  Basically, if you avoid that side of the hospital and those NPCs, you'll never get the request to come up in the Spectre terminal.

Ahh, my bad :) I've only seen it the once so far, so couldn't quite remember it And thanks for the video.

Don't Joker and Shep have a later dialogue about possible refugees, (children at least) So maybe his sister survives?

I enjoyed it though. I had stayed away from the games for awhile, and coming back, I've taken my time and liked exploring these little things.

I think they don't say.  Hillary doesn't seem to be a common name, and even Joker says that Tiptree is small.  Unfortunately, it seems safe to conclude that the poor shellshocked Asari in the hospital did indeed kill Joker's sister.

:D  Awesome.  That's the most important part.

The player still can listen to all the dialogue, just don't approve the request

No problem

If you have time, look through the thread for stuff that folks have found.

Joker and Liara have dialogue about folks from Tiptree landing on salarian colonies

I was playing the 'Missing Krogan Scouts' mission and was mucking around and discovered that you can use Sabotage on the Rachni pods. I don't think I'd ever bothered to try it before.

Note: there's a couple of pods, near where Grunt/Dagg practices the ancient art of Rachni tossing, that seem immune to most powers for some reason.

I found out that during Kasumi's loyalty mission, when you are talking to Hock in order to get a voice sample, if you don't take the initial persuasion option in the dialogue wheel, Femshep has the option to flirt with him.

Don't know what happens with Broshep.

With Femshep, Aethyta says: "and how many times have you thrown her on the bed and peeled her out of her uniform."
