Wow, hadn't noticed that before.

You know, it goes deeper than that. Prometheus was primarily focused on Synthetics and hacking them and has the Overlord assume direct control over the Geth halfway through, whereas Atlas focused on a specific instance of Synthetic-Organic integration and has Shepard get very mixed up in that. Whereas Vulcan...

...Vulcan produces a lot of energy and allows you to kill a harmless synthetic. Hmm. Vulcan doesn't seem to work as well as the others, though it's certainly got the colour scheme down.

He also assumes control on the big turret at the beginning.

As for Atlas... that was a tough fight.. First time I did it on Insanity. Harder than Marauder Shields maybe :P

I'll thank the trusty Mattock and Eviscerator. It's funny that they're the same guns David upgrades in ME3.. They're good for this level.

Insanity Atlas wasn't too bad for me. A trusty locust with disruptor ammo, and the tactical cloak/Geth shield boost for whenever things got too hot. Just had to keep my eye on those hacking globes.

Marauder Shields still gets me more often than not though...

Maybe my timing was wrong. I'm still pretty early..I just finished Horizon and recruited Tali. Was going to do Jack's loyalty mission after this.

Atlas was really easy for my Adept who had Energy Drain. It was definitely harder with my Engineer who relied on on Overload and AI Hacking. (bonus footage: turning over David Archer to Cerberus) Energy Drain is really, really good against Geth. And against David. If you look at the Adept version you see that I don't even have to deal with the Geth since I can just keep my shields up by EDing the sphere.

That this exists:

There is also a different animation for Shepard dancing, though I don't know what the trigger is. Rather than the infamous Shepard shuffle, I got this animation in ME3:

w71wuc.gif

That .gif is taken from ME2, but that same animation can be used at Purgatory in ME3.

You need to have more renegade points than paragon ones. The renegade dance looks dumb on Maleshep though, it suits Femshep much better.

I like that one better for either version of Shepard. Sure, it's a little goofy...but at least he/she is having fun. The other version makes Shepard look like a stiff who doesn't how to loosen up.

After thinking about it, I would add that Vulcan represented both the destructive aspects of fire and renewing aspects. Also, picking Destroy is kind of primitive... what can be more primitive than showing the most primeval state of things? :D Vulcan was apparently ugly -- but he was married to the goddess of love (Venus). Lastly, he built from raw materials (blacksmith). And even created the first woman from clay (Pandora) - who, as we know - has her own myth about unleashing evils upon the world (pandora's box). As for the level itself, it kind of relies on wits and timing. The platforms of rocks you hop on, waiting for the vents to push you vertically, shooting the power boxes on the walls that so it pushes those assault drones around..

Just thinking... probably too much.

I think I made a gif of FemShep dancing... wait... okay found it. I assume she only dance well when she's REALLY drunk. And I do think she's cute dancing at Flux in ME1.

Is it? I'd like to hear more ideas. Never really thought about it until now (except for perhaps "Cerberus"). I see some biblical themes too.

I never noticed until recently that Liara has dialogue with Tali in one of those ME1 elevator rides, where she says that the Quarians discovered more relays than any other species.

I bet that probably didn't help the Quarians PR image with the rest of the galaxy.

After finishing the dreadnought mission, I went back to the Citadel, and checked my map. It had Miranda waiting on the Presidium in the apartment, but never received any message from her at all. I didn't go see her. I went back on the Normandy, did the Geth server mission and checked my messages and saw her message wanting to meet her on the Citadel.

Yeah apparently the Quarians were big explorers back in their hey day.

I guess that's why you see so many derelict Quarian ships when you go through the Omega 4 relay.

Is there? I never paid attention to the derelict ships.

Yeah perhaps I should've said 'pieces' of Quarian ships. lol

But seriously there's heaps of pieces with that distinctive Quarian ship-architecture style.

But my favourite ship through the Omega 4 relay is the "Pillar Of Autumn".

When listening to Garrus and James talk, Garrus will mention that he helped stop Saren and been with Shepard since the beginning even if he was never recruited in ME1. I'm not surprised since he somehow remembers Kirrahe even though they never met

What's interesting is if you recruit him in ME1, he makes a comment about Eden Prime and the spikes the geth used to make husks when on Horizon in ME2, but if you don't recruit him in ME1, he never makes that comment. At least Bioware is consistent with that part

There are slight changes to the War Hero background story depending on whether it is paired with Spacer, Earthborn, or Colonist.

Earthborn and Spacers were visiting Elysium while on leave (vacation) when the Batarians attacked. Colonists were stationed there.

Managing the dialogue in a BW game is probably like writing code. Except it is in some ways more difficult since all the variables are global. There are no self-contained black-box sub-routines with their own internal variables. Bugs are bound to creep in here and there. On the whole I think BW does a good job keeping track of this stuff. In ME3 it is especially nice having the NPCs' dialogue vary based on even such small details like whether they were on the mission or not, as well as how the mission turned out. A great improvement over ME1 and ME2.

What I noticed is if Liara sees her mother in ME1, it will be remembered in ME3 when talking to her "father", but Bioware can't remember Garrus doesn't have to be recruited in ME1?  I'm sure they would remember if ME3 had more developement time.

What do you mean? It remembers if you took her to Noveria or not?

That's kind of cool.

I don't know if development time can be used as the reason for Garrus. He's the most fleshed out character in ME3... It's like he has twice the lines as others. I think Dombrow is just a big fan, and only thinks from that perspective (he started the series as a just another fan during the ME1 days).
