Y'Know, when looking for Kor Tun's Credit chit, you can ask him if he saw it.

Yeah knew that. I always though the option of buying the Quarian a ship would come up for some reason. Seemed an obvious tie-in.

I don't know if this is the result of a glitch or not, but I just shot the machine-gun arm off a YMIR mech. I was on the Warlord mission fighting Jedore. The heavy mech glitched out and did not come down into the center area. I pulled out a sniper rifle and shot its arm, which was all I could see of it. And the arm came off!?!? So I decided to see how it would behave if I could get it unstuck. I ran up to it to give it an easy shot at me, but unfortunately, it was so glitched out it did not even move or turn and my squad finished it off.

Anybody else ever been able to shoot off one of the limbs of a YMIR?

If this turns out to be possible it'll be a lifesaver!

how so? wouldn't it just be more efficient to shoot its head off?

I thought you shot its arm off while it was still armored. Wasn't that the case?

I think it still had half its armor left, IIRC. (Note: this was on normal difficulty.) It took like 3 shots to the arm with the Mantis using rank 2 disruptor ammo to get its shields off. Then another shot to take off half its armor. The next shot took off its arm and the remainder of its armor.

Looks like you just took the arm off when it lost the armor. There is no shield/armor gate in ME2. If that's the case, it's not very useful. But if it is possible to shoot the minigun arm off when its armored, it'll make the mech much less dangerous. Especially on Insanity.

If you don't talk about Benezia earlier, your squadmate will stop you when you want to release Liara from the energy field. And Liara will have a better line, "I am NOT my mother. I don't even- I don't know why Benezia join Saren. I don't want anything to do with that Turian bastard!" Yup, I prefer this one over "I maybe Benezia's daughter but I am nothing like her."

I just noticed that the three Batarians holding Daniel hostage show up as red dots on your radar just before you open the door.

If you do the sparring with James and both him and Shepard get a bloody nose from taking/not taking certain interrupts, Shepard's nosebleed will be gone after that. But if you talk to James again right away, he still has the nosebleed :D

Shepard has magical nosebleeds that instantly disappear offscreen. See the end of Leviathan.

Not the greatest discovery, but in Mass Effect, if one of your squadmates dies in an area with ambient dialogue, the other squadmate will start talking to themselves.

In addition, if you do Feros before picking up Liara, they'll discuss the Cipher a bit before doing the meld thing. You can also bring up Shiala when talking to Benezia if you go to Noveria after Feros.

Also on Noveria, I believe Garrus will support getting Lorik to testify against Anoleis. Tali, on the other hand, supports giving the evidence to Lorik. I'll have to test that dialogue with the other characters.

Finally, not really a discovery, but apparently either getting hit with a biotic attack or using Barrier at the right time directly before a cutscene leads to Shepard glowing purple:

Yeah, Shepard also has a disappearing nosebleed after getting beaten by Khalisah Al-Jilani :)

When the Mako is dropped off on Therum, Shepard and squad are in the Mako whereas Shepard and squad are outside of the Mako when dropped off on Virmire

Funny, this is my standard quest order since... forever (Feros > Therum). I think it's pretty convenient too. You get that call from Nassana, which brings you back to the Citadel.. and from there I also talk to Dr. Michel and get the Armistan Banes quest. All of these bring you to Liara/Therum's cluster at the same time.

Does anyone know how to kill the Rachni queen without being an evil dick about it? I heard it depends on what squad you bring and there was a way to be sorry about it and only doing it for the greater good.

What do you mean? Does Shepard change his expression under some condition?

I know you can always tell Udina later that he's sick for taking pleasure in it.

I only did it once with a FemShep and the final line was "This time, stay dead!" Maybe I'm imagining things but I thought there was a way to do it and be sorry about it... or maybe we were talking (in another thread) about being able to do it and not feel so guilty about it.

I'm probably just making this all up in my head :D

I've never seen it, but it'd be cool if it exists.. curious what anyone else says.

I've heard that having a renegade Ashley on your squad can change the dialogue. When I tried it with Tali however, I didn't immediately notice any change in dialogue and ended up chickening out. I'll have to go back to it after I finish Ilos.

Every time I kill the Rachni Queen, I always got renegade points no matter what dialogue was said by femshep or any squadmate.

There is a way to change your mind. My first time through I decided to kill the queen, but then she gave her "are we so fearful" speech and I chickened out, to which Shepard said something like "No, I can't do it." Wrex was rather scornful, "Great, now bugs will be making songs about you."

It's even better if you bring Garrus along if you back out of killing the queen. Garrus will stick his foot in his mouth and Wrex will ask if he's ever been to a krogan obstetrician's office.

Edit: Found the pics.

I know you still get the renegade points but I thought there was a dialogue change. So maybe you could say, "I'm sorry but it has to be this way [activates acid bath]"
