I've just noticed that on the opening mission of Mass Effect 3, just after Anderson radios the VS and they say they're with James (between escaping the Defense Council Meeting and finding Original Starbrat), you can actually see the two of them for a brief moment, running across a balcony that's down and to your right (from roughly the area where the husks you then have to fight are coming from).

I just re-watched the scene in a video I took, but I didn't catch them (have to check this out soon). However, the kid is running down there as well! It's going for the door where you melee the husks and beyond that is the room in which you later find it in. Fascinating :)

Maybe it was the kid that I saw then. I didn't get a clear look, I just saw something human running across for a split second, and the colour of the top looked like Vega's so given that he and Kaidan were talking to Anderson on the comms I thought it must have been them. I wanted to go back and try that scene again but it's impossible to suicide there.

Is it not possible to freeze the game and move around/freecam/noclip? Pretty sure its possible since i think somebody did it to show the Ash/Kaiden ghost on the citadel.

You could do that and then find out :D

the only thing I remember seeing is the kid climbing over the railing and running into the building through the doors

I just discovered that the second set of Asari snipers you encounter on Thessia (specialists Cayla and Jineva) actually shoot the Canibals near Shepard. It was unclear whether they are doing any actual damage.

Spoiler

I also noticed that the first set of Asari snipers you run into are using Warps on the Harvester that kills them. Being such experts on biotics, of course, meant they did not bother to use those Warps as primers for a biotic explosion.

My galactic readiness has been at 90% since the middle of March 2012

On March 10 2012, I went online to get the trophy, Master and Commander. On March 14 2012, I played again online to get the defender trophy with 100% readiness. I finished the playthrough and started another one right after. I made a save before seeing the council.

After talking with Hackett, I noticed my readiness dropped to 90%. At the time I had no idea what caused it. As I played through the game, it would drop to 50%. It would go back to 90% after I shut off the console and continue my playthrough later. Over several more playthroughs, I noticed each time I talk with Hackett, my readiness would drop to 50%. Not all the time though. The other time it kept dropping was after I completed the Chronos mission. I was able to do one low ems run before the extended cut was released

After the extended cut released, I still had 90% readiness and at times it would drop to 50%. So I went with it. It makes playthroughs easy for me. This still happens today. It did in my last playthrough. There have been a couple of time I was setup for a low ems run, but the readiness wouldn't drop, so I had to wait till it did. While I waited for that to happen, I would start another playthrough and when it did drop to 50%, I would go back to the low ems run and complete it. The downside to doing that was that I had to complete the game without shutting off the console otherwise it would go back to 90% readiness. I know if I were to go online, my readiness would drop to 50% and not see 90% again unless I play online to get it back up.

I don't know if this works on the 360, but it might with folks who have a ps3.

If you talk to James at the Purgatory bar for the first time, he will smile for FemShep after she finished James' toast when he says "I was hoping you'd know that one."

MShep does not get that smile :P

I just put together a compilation of all the dialogue differences I could find by doing "From Ashes" after Thessia.

What's with the drinking scenes that have no drinks? That scene at least needed the four of them tipping one back, and could have benefited from some interaction between the grunts and Shepard. Seriously neither of them had anything to say? It just makes me wonder what the QA testers thought when they first played these scenes. Did any of them complain to the devs I wonder? These are great scenes tarnished by lazy/missing animations and lack of dialog.

I'm getting ready to do another ME3 playthrough with an ME2 import and realize I have no idea what squadmates are alive, recruited or dead in ME2. Too bad it couldn't list what squadmates are being imported

Professor X posted on another thread that Wrex can live even when sabotaging the genophage. It is true.

Before seeing the asari councilor, I had 330 Krogan war assets. After talking with the councilor, I made a save and then went to dock 24 where I encountered Wrex and killed him. Once on the ship, I checked my war assets and lost all war assets from the Krogan leaving me with zero. I reloaded the save, went to Citadel transit terminal to visit Dr. Bryson. Once done, I headed back to the Normandy without encountering Wrex.

I went and did the Thessia mission. Went back to the Citadel, made a save and went to dock 24 where I encountered Wrex. I reloaded and went to Dr. Bryson's office for a few seconds and then went back to the Normandy avoiding Wrex. The same thing happened after finishing Sanctuary. Just before attacking Chronos, I still had Krogan war assets

After finishing Chronos, I checked my war assets and still had my 330 Krogan assets.

At the fob, I talked with Primarch Victus. He was upset that Wrex pulled his Krogan leading to many turian civilians dying. He even mentioned the bomb going boom on Tuchanka

I saw Wrex giving a speech to a platoon of Krogan. I talked with him. He mentioned the bomb on Tuchanka. You can hear the anger in his voice. He never mentioned anything about the genophage.

After choosing destroy, Wrex is not seen in any of the slides. He might in the other endings, I don't know.

What I like about this is that you can save Maleon's data in ME2, do the bomb mission and sabotage the cure with Wrex without loosing Krogan war assets at all while still getting Salarian support.

And now I have seen how the Sanctuary mission plays out if Miranda dies during the Suicide Mission. Full mission here. And here is how Tali's dialogue changes after the mission:

I find that area pretty interesting...I don't know what make of it, but it's like a microcosm of recurring Mass Effect themes. Lorik is a rare AI researcher. Then there's this conflict between the Asari biotic and the human genetic/biotic researcher..and he happens to be working for Binary Helix. Their logo is very similar to Cerberus. Not sure if that was purposeful or not.

There's also the Krogan, who you can help empower or you can screw over. And the Salarian administrator, controlling just about everyone.

The logo similarity is very interesting to me, and it is something that I have not caught before. There's always something new to discovery about mass effect..

It is interesting to me, because it is VERY heavily implied (although not explicitly stated) in the games and the books that TIM has influence with Binary Helix, possibly as a major shareholder, and that Binary Helix may be one of TIM's many companies.

Although, of course, Saren is the majority shareholder. This is most likely how Cerberus acquires the Rachni for experimentation, for example, and how they have access to the most cutting edge biomedical technology and research in the galaxy.

Putting together the description of Cerberus from the books and ME2 onward, and the breadcrumb pieces in ME1, makes it likely that Cerberus at least has spies in these major companies (we already know Exo-Geni for a fact), and probably also some major investment in them too.

Before breaking the glass on Mars, 2 of the 4 Cerberus troopers will leave the area. The other 2 just stand still. The one on the right is nodding his head yes while the one on the left is shaking his head no

I need to try this for my Ultra-Renegade Shep to sabotage the Genophage and still have Wrex in the Citadel DLC Party with everyone, including Miranda.... Wonder what happens there.

Well, you can try, but I am guessing it won't work. Based on Mikefest's testing and my own experience of playing the DLC mission well before ever talking to the Asari Councilor, it would seem that the game has already marked Wrex as waiting to be killed if you sabotage the cure. As such, it seems that if that flag is set he will not show up in the Citadel DLC. But you could try it and see. (Or just wait for Mikefest to run a test. :) )

I would bet Wrex would not show up in the dlc. Since its mentioned, I'll give it a try since him showing up, if he does, occurs a short time after the dlc starts

And did you know that , after completing the "Shoot-the-Pyjak-with-rockets" minigame and talking about it with Ratch, you can buy Raw Pyjak Meat from Ratch's Store and feed it to Urz (Ratch's Pet Varren), he will follow you around and you can win with him in the Varren Pit. Each win will award you 500 Credits instead of the usual 250 you get when betting with another Varren.

And if he gets injured(a.k.a loses a fight), he will get moved temporarily to Tuchanka's Med Lab and Squadmates may comment on the Varren's Condition when prompted.

-On another note, The Scientist in those Med Labs can be either enjoying his work, working with Wreav on Weapons of Mass Destruction, or hating it working with Wrex on more "futile" thing for the Krogan.

Holy Crap! I just noticed that as the fleet approaches Earth and engages the Reapers just before Shepard heads down to London, you can see two of the "legs" of a Reaper get shot off. I wish they had done more to make it clear that the Reapers were not uber-invincible. As it stands, my thought on watching that space battle have always been: "what's the point? why shoot at all since you can't hurt them?" It would have helped to make that scene make more sense if we had been shown earlier that Reapers actually could be killed by something other than Thresher Maws and the combined firepower of an entire fleet.

(I pray that our next enemy is not some Cthulu-like, omnipotent, space-god.)
