Garrus also has a unique comment about the councilor's location. "Executor's Office, it's a fairly defensible position" if I'm not mistaken.

That's  during the first fight after arriving at the Talons outpost, correct?

If so then that Turian looked normal on my PC, when I did that dlc last week.

In that room are 2 wounded Turians 'hidden', who one can heal with medigel. (I previously only ever found one of them.)

Yeah, hm i guess it was a glitch then. HOORAY GLITCHES! <_<

User by the name Vanilka dissected the vision Shepard has in Eden Prime (on the 1st game)

Lots of images and lots of not seen images too, because the images in-game go a little too fast

Thanks a lot for this!

If you were like me, in one of your ME2 playthroughs you didnt fully lock in the romance with Tali and then you edit the ME3 save so that you are romancing Tali 2 things happen.

1.) When the admirals board the Normandy Tali wont say "Shepard" she will instead introduce herself with her whole name.

2.) When invited up to your cabin she wont say "Keelah Shepard im not going to beg" but will instead say she needs to return to the admirals.

Everything else is the same though as if you romanced from the beginning.

Thought this was odd since i thought the game only looked for the romance flag, it seems it looks at other things as well

:crying: Damn! In regards to the above, i'm now just about to go stop the reapers at earth and what do i find? Tali is getting close with Garrus! Despite having just been in my cabin!

Seems the game definitely checks more attributes than i thought. So for anyone who didnt fully 'lock in' their Tali romance in ME2, its doomed and if you edit the save its a whole lot worse and makes Tali look like a two timing Bosh'tet!

Who shoots Ashley/Kaidan?

Liara & James - picked Liara first, she makes a comment about the council when talking with Bailey, James is in the front seat of the skycar, Liara opens the elevator door. No scene showing who shot Ashley. The camera moved to the spot where a squadmate shoots Ashley, but no one was there. I was surprised. Never had that happen before

James & Liara - picked James first - same thing happened as above

James & Garrus - James picked first, Garrus makes comment about council when talking with Bailey, James in front seat of skycar, James opens elevator door. Garrus shoots Ashley

Garrus and James - Garrus picked first - same as above

edi & James - edi picked first, James asks about council when talking with Bailey, James in front seat of skycar, edi opens elevator door, edi shoots Ashley

Garrus & Liara - Liara picked first, Garrus asks Bailey about the council, Liara is in the front seat of the skycar, Liara opens the elevator door, Garrus shoots Ashley

the above is from the same playthrough. I just reloaded a prior save each time I did the mission.

Garrus & James - James shoots Kaidan. this was from another playthrough that I loaded just before the elevator scene

The 3 times Garrus shot Ashley, he was on Shepard's right when exiting the door. He walked behind Shepard in front of the other squadmate to shoot Ashley and just as she died, Garrus is seen back in the same spot before he moved.

If I was to load another character or start another playthrough, the results might be different.

It most likely be different had I recruited Javik.

Which order you pick the squadmates doesn't matter. Also, it looks like the squadmate priority is slightly different depending on whether it's Ashley or Kaidan.

Javik seems to have shooting priority over Garrus as he is on Shepard's right when I took the two of them. I think he has priority over everyone but EDI. Then again, I haven't actually shot the VS yet.

On a side note, taking Liara and Garrus results in a funny scene while the skycar is crashing. It looks like Garrus is passed out or something in the back as Liara and Shepard try to regain control of the car. It happens too quickly to grab a screenshot, unfortunately.

By any chance, do you have the dialogue for when EDI or James shoots the VS back on the Normandy? I've seen videos of Garrus but no one else.

Maybe. As I posted. There is most likely a number of combinations that go into who shoots Ashley/Kaidan.

I don't know about that since I never had them together on the mission when I shot Ashley/Kaidan

I had him and edi together and it was edi that shot Kaidan

. Until you do, you have no idea who will shoot the VS

No I don't. The only one I've talked with after the coup was Garrus and Liara

I've never had Liara shoot the VS. It was always the other squadmate.

It seems this whole VS shooting thing is highly random, or rather, depends on a lot of different factors we might not know.

Anyway, recently when I tried to get James to shoot the VS, it was Liara instead, and I recorded her dialogue afterwards, so if you're interested, here it is.

Spoiler

I'm really curious if James, EDI and Javik have dialogue afterwards or if it's strictly tied to the "old" squaddies.

Maybe it's tied to the number of missions squadmates were taken to? So for fraggleblabla, Liara was the least used of two and she took the shot?

That's an interesting idea, as Liara was definitely not used as much as James (I take him everywhere right now, as you know ;)). Need to investigate!

Except it seems that Garrus is the one most likely to be the one taking the shot and Garrus is also one of the most popular squad mates. My guess is that if Garrus is in your party, he's the one who shoots.

I don't believe so since when I tested it the other day all 4 squadmates were taken on the same amount of missions

Maybe there is also an additional variable that gives ME1 squadmates priority. Both Garrus and Liara have unique comments about shooting VS, IIRC. Garrus gets picked over Liara because he's more ruthless :) Kinda like Saren headshot scene in ME1.

That might be.

I've never had Liara and Garrus together  on the Citadel at the end. It was mostly Garrus and Ashley together, and she shot Saren the majority of the time

The conversation between EDI and engineer Adams about the Reaper IFF. I don't know what triggered it; not having the ship upgrades or not talking to Adams but this was the first time I heard it :)

I never get Kaidan to shoot at Saren. Everyone else always have priority : Garrus, Wrex, Tali, Liara. meh

I didn't realize we're fighting near the Big Ben in Priority : Earth..... after several dozenth playthrough..... =_=

Spoiler

The beam is by Victoria train station, about a ten minute walk from big Ben.

I have massive issues with the geography of priority earth, let alone the gameplay.

So there are metro tunnels around that area? Near the beam too?

Yes.
You can walk pretty much to the beam from where shep landed in the shuttle in about ten minutes.
You could walk through the central/district line tunnels from Westminster to Victoria.
Or go to pimlico/vauxhall and use the Victoria line tunnels.
The forward base is actually further away than where shep landed. It's completely bonkers.

Makes one wonder why didn't they use those... Send Shepard with teammates down there while the bulk of the forces goes "where the resistance is the thickest". Lure away the Destroyer and have them sneak to the Citadel and open the arms. It would've also given them the chance to use London metro - the oldest one out there.

As for forward base being further, it kinda makes sense. You can land individual squads somewhere around the beam but they would never make it to the beam due to the high number of enemies in the area. That's why the bulk of the force gathers in a somewhat safer area and launches the assault from there.

It would be better than the plan Anderson has. I've mentioned a few times that I would've had a team sneak past the destroyer to get to the beam. But no. What did we get? ME3's version of a suicide mission by running to the beam with no one making any attempt to get to cover.

It's actually a perfect way to implement Suicide Mission mechanics. Smaller area allows for more focused tasks and they can keep player updated on the surface combat status with cutscenes at some key points. For example, a tunnel, one part is filled with water that needs to be drained to allow access. The team splits and Shepard deals with it...

Ok guys, whole evening wasted, I'm done (for now :P). It seems who shoots the VS has nothing to do with who's least used on missions.

Because I left James in the Shuttle Bay and took Liara and EDI with me to Cerberus Lab, Sur'Kesh, Turian Platoon and Tuchanka so they would have more missions than James. My findings are similar to Mike's.

James and Liara: Liara opened the elevator door, appeared on Shepard's right side and took the shot.

James and EDI: EDI opened the elevator door, appeared on Shepard's right side and took the shot.

Then I went to Eden Prime with Liara and EDI to get Javik, replayed Citadel Coup with Javik and James. Here's when it got interesting.

James was the one who opened the elevator door, appeared on Shepard's right side, but then it just glitched and Javik appeared right next to James and took the shot (the same happens with Garrus, I found a video for this on YT). Oh maaaan. It's driving me crazy :D I will try it with Ash, too. Maybe that's the difference.

At least I got Javik's dialogue for shooting "the human" ;)

Spoiler

EDI didn't say anything btw, other than in the scene between her and Joker, but that could have been because I didn't talk to her at all beforehand.

Never had that happen

I'm still at a lost that the game didn't show either Liara or James shooting Ashley when I did the mission a couple of days ago

Maybe Ash is even more glitched? Since we're both on PS3, I expect the same happening to me. I will post it here once I played it :)
