Also, one last thing before this suddenly goes off-topic (not to the off-topic, but off-topic  )

Bioware also made the decision of merging Spoilers and Non-Spoiler threads. So, now new players need to be careful in what they read so they don't end up clicking one thread they thought off-topic. Bad move, IMO...

Anyways, keep on discovering things! :D

The times I played a Vanguard that's what I did except for the one time I didn't. The banshee is very quick to grab hold of Shepard

I was caught a few times too. The last time, after a long time later, in the Monastery mission I thought I could run by one of them. I was very fast but she still got a hold of me :)
Normally I either walk back while shooting or just roll back unless I wanna take the fight to a different direction. Then I roll to a side I want her to come to :)
I learned not to be afraid of her while playing Vanguard. You get so close to the banshees and they can't do anything. You can take them anywhere you want by charging and getting back because they almost always focus on you.

The first time I've charged a Banshee... :pinched: Ouch!

Banshees will only grab you if they are in "charge mode". When they stop charging they will not grab you. They will scream before going into charge mode. I think they can charge/hop up to 6 times before stopping.

Banshees can only grab you if you are on the same level. So if you are higher or lower on a ramp, they cannot grab you.

If you do decide to take one on on a ramp, remember they can knock you onto the same level when they hit you sometimes.

Wow, I've never seen the impaling animation before. Scary!

You guys give some great advice. Banshees can be a pain in larger numbers. With my Soldier Shep, I'm just holding onto my Suppressor pistol.

Just a small thing I noticed. During the Eden Prime footage you're watching with Nihlus & Anderson at the beginning of ME1, Ashley is seen wearing heavy Phoenix armor. However, when you actually meet her on Eden Prime, she's wearing only medium Phoenix armor.

Yep they're a pain alright, especially as they try and herd you into other enemies or get you backed into a corner,

Case in point, I just finished a MP game where I landed in a game in progress with three Infiltrators. I spent the whole damn game getting my cute little Asari Adept's butt chased around Firebase White by Banshee's, because every time they cloaked the agro switched to me.  :(

I went to go find Dr. Garneau on the asteroid. After climbing the ladder to go outside to chase after the fake Dr. Garneau (and after the cutscene), for the first time i ever I noticed the Harvester fly by on the right side.

I guess every time I have done this previously, I was either looking down at that ladder or looking at the husks climbing the far wall so i never noticed that Harvester.

Quoting your post because I have a question for everyone that discovers those things. What is the visible difference when a Character is wearing Heavy Armor/Medium Armor/Light Armor and how you distinguish them? I never payed attention to those kind of things and if I did, I would've never find out.

Do you have to have a good eye and notice some minor things or something like that?

It's mainly the shoulder / arm parts that are different. Basically the 'heavier' the armour, the more pronounced/ protruding the shoulders are.

The should be some pictures on the wiki -page.

Like KrrKs said, it's the bulkiness of the shoulders/arms (and upper legs) that stand out with heavy armor. They have some more plating on them. The medium and light armors are pretty skin-tight, making the heavy armor stand out a bit more than those versions. There's sometimes also a difference in textures between heavy, medium and light armor, which makes them more distinctive.

I guess I just notice new things every time I start a new playthrough, small discrepancies like these, but also surprising ones like the cutscene behind the Eden Prime beacon which I've missed on my first five playthroughs.

Just like after a while you start noticing different characters having the same voice actor. I just noticed the female voice when you're creating your Shep in ME1 (the "Data corruption: profile reconstruction"-voice) is the same as Rana Thanoptis'. And I'm not sure about this one but I believe Dorn'Hatzt (the dying quarian during Zaal'Koris' mission in ME3) has the same voice actor as Kaidan. They sounded strangely familiar.

I love Raphael Sbarge's voice but I never heard it there!! Wow, really good ear.

I just finished playing Piority: Horizon with Miranda already dead, and I didn't take the Renegade interrupt when Henry held Oriana hostage, so both of them died. James then said "I'm sorry, Shepard." Does anyone know if other characters respond like that too?

I've searched Youtube and found 2 videos of not taking the interrupt, but funnily enough both are with James as well :D

I've done that scene 3 times. Both died and it was Vega sayiing that line and the other times was having both live or Henry was killed

About the "Data corruption: profile reconstruction"

When I heard the first time "Data corruption..." in ME1, I thought "Damn DRM!" in the first moments.

LOL, I have DVD version of ME1.

I also just noticed Tela Vasir's VA is actually the same as Samara's. Their characters are completely different so it's not very noticable, but you can hear the similarity in their voices when Vasir talks calmly (like when you first meet her).

Just like Rupert Gardner (the SR2 janitor/cook) shares the same VA as Udina. One deals with political bull.****, the other with.. other kinds of ****.

I won't spoil the other characters for you guys though. It kinda ruins the emotional moment when you run into a dying quarian on Rannoch and all you're thinking is "is that Kaidan talking with a funny accent?"

And to think that I found myself awesome to perceive that the Normandy's VI (Decontamination in Progress) is the same that goes "Please reconstruct your profile"

Liara's reaction to actually seeing Thessia burning. It would be all too easy to pounce on the kid: "Hey, Earth is burning too!"

But it's emotions talking here, not facts and logic. That sequence reminded me, in real life, there's things we'd tell ourselves we're so sure we're ready for; we know the risks, come what may -- we can face death, our own, or loved ones'. Yet, when push comes to shove, the situation finds strings to... pull that we did not anticipate.

In a way, Liara is the equivalent of XCOM's Annette in our roster; she's non-military.
Hats-off to how well Javik handled her struggle to get a grip when sh*t did hit closer to home.

It's nowhere near as bad as Shep on Menae. If I was Victus I would have told Shep to **** right off.

I just noticed that in ME2, just after Wrex gets up off his throne to greet Shepard you can see a shotgun mysteriously floating in the air to his left. And his left arm is missing.

Replayed Thessia earlier.

This is only for when you have picked up Javik before, in addition to already having examined one of the frescos left or right to the big Athame statue and made the connection to Athame looking like a Prothean.

The 2nd squad mate reacts to the order in which you investigate sword and shield of Athame. If you investigate the shield first, they will refer to the shield when you investigate the sword, and vice-versa. Didn't notice that before.

Also, if you go straight to the statue and don't investigate the artifacts at all despite having picked up Javik, the dialogue stays the same as if you never picked up Javik (the "dead religion" dialogue). Well, that makes sense since you don't make the connection to Athame being a Prothean before, just thought I'd mention it anyway :D

And finally, once the beacon is out in the open and you take your sweet time, both Liara and then some time later the other squad mate tell you the beacon is ready.

I don't know if the following thing it happen to you too, because it's related to language voice (mine is Italian):
In ME2, near the entrance in lvl 26 on the Citadel, you will see some soldiers listening their superior about giant bullets.
The soldier who reply to his superior have the same voice of our Italian Sgt. Hartman seen in Full Metal Jacket movie.
The man who voice acted in Italian our Sgt. Hartman is Eros Pagni, a very famous voice actor.

I was so excited because he acted in the same way (near the same way) as seen in Full Metal Jacket movie.

I've always thought it was actually Jennifer Hale who did the "decontamination in progress" voice, it reminded me of Bastila (KOTOR) somehow.

But I could be wrong of course, maybe all those voices are finally getting to me :P

In ME2: If you do Archangel mission before Mordin mission, take Garrus in squad and then go to rescue Mordin.

Before entering quarantine area, Garrus will try to hesitate to enter. Of course the choice is yours.

When you meet Mordin, Garrus get cured by him.
