I just noticed that near the end of the game, everyone in the CIC moved to the war room (except for the guy walking around and Traynor)

I just caught Joker's shout out to The Hunt for Red October in the Geth Dreadnought mission. "The only way they're going to hear us is if you all start singing the Russian National Anthem." Heh.

In ME2: If you do Archangel mission before Mordin mission, take Garrus in squad and then go to rescue Mordin.

Before entering quarantine area, Garrus will try to hesitate to enter. Of course the choice is yours.

When you meet Mordin, Garrus get cured by him.

Wow, I can not believe I missed this one.

In ME2, take Kasumi to the level of the Citadel where there´s the japanese district. In addition to her comment near the restaurant where the man is selling ramen she can also interject after the explanation the nearby avina terminal gives about replication technology.

Watch again. Femshep has much more of a reaction than manshep, she pats her stomach with both hands and looks down. Manshep briefly puts one hand to his side whilst looking at Anderson.
Intimation is that the female version is much more concerned with how she looks; else why else have a different animation? Why can't they both act the same?

Because the fans told Bioware prior to the games release that Femshep is just a female carbon copy of ManShep, and wanted Femshep to have her own uniqueness. I remember these conversations very clearly. There is in fact another example of these differences. After Shepard sees the kid in the vents, and Anderson mentions to Shepard that they should go to the Council. There is a shake and Shepard almost falls. Anderson puts his arm in front of ManShep over his chest. For FemShep, he instead grabs onto her back straps so hes not groping her.

In ME3, if you flush the toilet long enough, after a while it won't flush at all.... :P

(yes, I'm bored)

So is there a reason why FemShep walks like a dude? I don't need her to saunter or have an exaggerated hip sway, but less walking like she has a super bulked torso would have been good.

Replayed Thessia earlier.

This is only for when you have picked up Javik before, in addition to already having examined one of the frescos left or right to the big Athame statue and made the connection to Athame looking like a Prothean.

The 2nd squad mate reacts to the order in which you investigate sword and shield of Athame. If you investigate the shield first, they will refer to the shield when you investigate the sword, and vice-versa. Didn't notice that before.

Also, if you go straight to the statue and don't investigate the artifacts at all despite having picked up Javik, the dialogue stays the same as if you never picked up Javik (the "dead religion" dialogue). Well, that makes sense since you don't make the connection to Athame being a Prothean before, just thought I'd mention it anyway :D

And finally, once the beacon is out in the open and you take your sweet time, both Liara and then some time later the other squad mate tell you the beacon is ready.

You can get 3 different views of the statue falling apart depending on what order Shepard activates each connection

If Shepard activates one of the busts first, a squadmate will say it resembles a prothean and Liara will reply 'not necessarily'. This only happens if Javik is recruited. If Shepard activates one of the paintings to the left or right of the statue first, Liara won't make that comment

OK so this topic is basically about little things that you only just found out about despite playing the game(s) plenty of times. This can apply to all three games, but in my example it's something I just discovered in ME3. I used to cycle through the phrases from the Shepard VI in the docks, but I never knew that what it says is based on whether or not you were a Paragon or Renegade Shepard. I'm finally going Renegon, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear new phrases from it. Personally I think the Renegade one is much better. I especially love how the VI insists on being put in a combat mech, or a drone with a Cain attached to it.

While this original post is from a while back, I will say about Renegade VI Shepard: "Cains and Fleets" - VI Shep knew what it was all about.

Of course there's a reason for this. Laziness or lack of commitment. They sprinkled in a few minor differences, hoping it would please the people who wanted differences. But replacing the whole walking animation? are you nuts? That requires actual effort, not simple animation tweaks! Besides Inquisition finally made a female animation and many people thought it was too "sexy". So I'm not sure if it's good or bad that FemShep lacked a female animation.

I just discovered, much to my chagrin, that the Avalanche can freeze Harbinger. I decided to try out the Avalanche to clear out the first platform on the Collector ship as fast as possible. My plan was to hit them with Singularity, then follow up with the Avalanche to eliminate their barriers, then toss them off the platform as they were floating. Too bad that the Collector that turned into Harbinger fell over frozen and behind cover. :( So I had to worry about Harbinger eventually getting up off his butt while we dealt with Pinball-Scion.

It's possible to be at least level 35 before starting one of the initial missions (noveria/feros/therum).
Makes it a tad easy.

I would have loved to be able to do the missions in any order. from all the hidden dialogue that does seem to have been the intention.

Why did Bioware decide to limit the game as they did?

My understanding is that they had to break up the game into two discs for the xbox because it became so large.

You still have to swap discs during the game though. Wonder why they didn't go for the second disc just being an install disc with the first being Play.

But only twice instead of several or more. Dividing things as they did was probably one of the better options, even as it did restrict the freedom of choice compared to the more original vision. Personally, I'm only really salty about not getting Legion for most of the game unless I modify it.

Was that something acceptable to expect of players  in 2010-2011? I don't think it was, but I could be wrong. I thought it was more of a 2012-2013+ thing, with storage spaces having a higher standard.

Age of Mythology was 2002, and that immediately springs to mind as a 2-disk game that only used the second to install.

You'll have to explain more to me. I thought an install of a ME2 disk is at least a few GB downloaded to a console storage device.

I usually don't pay much attention to my surroundings in the middle of a fire fight but I was just doing the Citadel Coup and noticed one of the shops was called "Snap, Crackle and Shock Defense Systems".

It tickled me :)

Liara says that there is not much trace left of the protheans. Yet feros is an entire prothean city.

These reapers really were pisspoor at their job.

I am not the person to ask about consoles. I was just giving an example of a game that needed 2 disks to install, but only 1 to play.

OK, this was weird. Just finished Samara's loyalty mission and was heading back to the Normandy when the PA system started referring to my femshep as "he" and "him". Not only does Morinth kill by snu-snu, she also conducts gender change operations on the side. She and Dr. Heart should go into business together.
