In retrospect, Bio didn't get nearly enough credit for all those alternate dialogue paths.

I just found yet another variation on the initial dialogue with James on the Normandy. This is the dialogue you get if you talk to James after the mission on Menae but before meeting EDI's new mobile platform.

Spoiler

So, I wonder, has fraggle already found this dialogue? Or did I beat her to it? :)

I did :D

Spoiler

What I didn't find so far is a line about Garrus's eyes giving James the chills  But then I got that line from the leaked script and it could just be it didn't make it in the game.

In retrospect, Bio didn't get nearly enough credit for all those alternate dialogue paths.

I agree! Since I'm currently hunting Vega's dialogue variations, the effort they put into it constantly boggles my mind, it's pretty amazing. For this alone I love BW and their games. There's a lot to discover, a lot of replay value. Like also seeing how James starts getting pissed off when you don't visit and spar with him at all until after either Sur'Kesh, Tuchanka or Citadel coup and what it changes in terms of interactions with him, like that he's not calling you Lola or Loco after Tuchanka or Citadel Coup.

Just found one I hadn't seen before. When Ash is lying with a hangover on the lounge floor and James is cooking huevos rancheros, the dialogue with Ash is different if you talk to Vega first.

Yes, and it's the other way around too iirc :) Same with drunk Tali and Javik, you also get different dialogues there whether you went to see Tali first or not.

In the Armax Arsenal Store (Citadel DLC), you have the bronze, silver, and gold kiosks. I never noticed that the little bars/tablets on each kiosk actually have the prizes pictured inside them; in the bronze ones, you can see your squadmates; in the silver ones, the arsenal mods; in the gold ones, collectors and super elites.

I know it can't happen, but I thought it'd be fun to have the Armax Arsenal maps available for multiplayer. They're a little small, so maybe they could have been for two players, but I thought they were fun little maps. I loved the idea behind the simulator; I enjoyed (for the most part) Pinnacle Station in ME1, and liked have a simulator again. Plus, great way to make money!

Okay, admittedly, Volcanic Hunt was terrible. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad, and I kind of liked Ahern. And I sure liked being able to get the fancy gear so early in the game.

There's a sweet spot where you can beat Pinnacle fairly easily, right about level 30. If you wait much longer, the enemies get too tough, and too much earlier, and you don't have enough firepower. But for whatever reason, in the late 20s low 30s, I can beat it and get that sweet gear from the caravan earlier.

If the sparring with James is delayed until after Priority: Tuchanka, there's a new line only when you pick the Paragon option "I sure can." after James asks if you can talk and dance at the same time. He says:

"We'll see. I'll go easy on you, just in case."

After that it bugged out for my FemShep, because the line that MShep says here about with age and rank comes wisdom was displayed, and there was no audio, haha.

Right before you hit London, if you talk to EDI, she tells you how the Normandy is ready, rattling off some stuff about the ammunition and so forth. She ends by saying she's kissed Joker for luck, probably an allusion to the Star Wars: A New Hope scene where Princess Leia kisses Luke before they swing across the chasm in the Death Star.

In your final good-byes to several characters, there's an occasional role reversal. For instance:

Just before Legion jumps out of the shuttle at the start of Priority: Rannoch, you tell him, "Good luck," and he responds, "Acknowledged." Later, when you jump out of the escape vehicle to face the Reaper, Legion tells you, "Good luck," and you respond, "Acknowledged."

When you first free Javik on Eden Prime, he refuses to shake your hand. On London, you have the option of a paragon interrupt to shake his offered hand.

When you speak to Miranda Lawson in the Spectre Office, you tell her to be careful. She responds that she can't promise that. When you speak to her one final time in London, she tells you to be careful, and when you tell her to do the same, she says she promises.

Neat little touches.

Her line here is different if you do not encourage a romance between Joker and EDI. In that case she says: "I have also recovered a four leaf clover from the Presidium in case of catastrophic failure."

During the Citadel Coup, if you don't jump on the Council's elevator right away, one of your squad mates will urge you to jump after a short amount of time.

James: You're on point, Commander. Go!

Liara: We're covering you. Go!

Garrus: Got you covered, Shepard. Go!

EDI: After you, Shepard.

Didn't get Javik to say anything :(

I just uncovered some new dialogue by Shepard. After ending the initial conversation with Javik I decided to see if he had anything else to say. We returned to the same investigate dialogue we had just left.  Except, of course, Liara had left the room. So I decided to see how some of those dialogues played out now that Liara wasn't there. Javik's lines were all the same, but now Shepard had to fill in for Liara's absence. Shepard refers to the Protheans as "harsh" where Liara called them "severe." I am sure there are other differences as well.

After Shepard shoots up the beam from London to the Citadel, when he/she gets to the chasm with the bridge, if you go partway across the bridge and turn around, you'll see a waterfall alternating between the other bridges. Interesting.

@C&G: Thanks! Never had the courage not to get EDI and Joker together.

Anybody know what (if anything) happens if you shoot a keeper in the red hallway right after you shoot up the beam?

When heading to Earth with ems below 2300, a reaper capital ship destroys an Alliance ship and a destroyer is seen landing on top of a Turian ship to destroy it

If ems is above 2300, an Alliance ship destroys two legs of a capital ship before it gets destroyed

When talking with Anderson at the fob, he will have 3 lines of dialogue based on ems

if ems is below 2600, he will say less than 25% of hammer made it

if ems is between 2600-3399, he will say less than 40% of hammer has made it

if ems is above 3400, he will say barely 50% of hammer has made it

During the beam run both squadmates will be killed if ems is below 1900. I don't know where that number came from, but when I did that I always had my ems below 1900. In my last 3 playthroughs, I decided to test that number. Its not 1900, its 2000. So if your ems is below 2000, both squadmates will be killed.

With ems that low, it will show one of the squadmates reaching out with his/her left arm before being killed. To decide who that squadmate is, its based on the number of missions he/she was taken on and/or if the player talked with them

I had Liara and James, didn't talk to either of them, it was James since I took him on the most missions

I took Ashley and James, talked with Ashley and she was the one reaching out with her left arm even though James went with me on more missions. The same thing happened when I took Ashley and Liara. I didn't talk to Liara, but talked to Ashley and she is the one reaching out with her left arm

On another playthrough using only Liara and edi, it was Liara reaching out with her left arm because I talked with her.

After Shepard opens the arms, Hacketts ship will be taking damage if ems is below 2000 before the crucible docks with the Citadel

If ems is above 2000, Hacketts ship will not take any damage

When first encountering the cataylst, it will say 'why are you here' if ems is below 2700

It will say 'wake up' if ems is above 2700

When talking with the catalyst and Shepard chooses the bottom right dialogue while it mentions control, this dialogue will happen

S: I didn't fight this war just to give up everything I have

C: And I don't look forward to being replaced by you, but...I would be forced to accept it

S: Not if I refuse to do it.

C: True, but you will be bound by these decisions, just like I am

S: I'm not bound by anything. Not by you or these choices

C: If you don't choose, you will be forced to accept our dominion. The harvest will proceed

The reason why I posted that dialogue is because I like it. Its better than the other dialogue the player gets if ems is above 2700. The dialogue only happens if ems is below 2700

If ems is above 2700, synthesis is available. 2800 is not needed

If ems is below 1750, only one ending will be available.

If the base is saved in ME2, control will be the only option if ems is below 1750. The door to the Normandy opens and still have the memorial scene

If the base is destroyed in ME2, destroy will be the only option. Earth is scorched. The door to the Normandy does not open suggesting everyone onboard is dead.

If playing an ME3 default playthrough, the game assumes the base is destroyed leaving destroy as the only option if ems is below 1750

If ems is between 1750-2000, Big Ben is destroyed and the soldiers are not cheering. Hacketts' speech will be slightly different than higher ems

If ems is above 2000, Big Ben is ok, the soldiers are cheering and Hackett has the same speech as high ems

If ems is above 2600, the relays don't explode. Below 2600, the relays explode

If ems is above 2600, Joker is being very calm in the c**kpit. Below 2600, he's in panic mode

If ems is above 2600, the Normandys is seen flying off the planet. Below 2600, the Normandy is stuck on the unknown planet

If ems is above 2600, cutsecenes will be shown of the reapers destroyed on Thessia and Tuchanka. Below 2600, the cutscenes are not seen

I have posted that Anderson gives 200 war assets if 'saved' and takes away 100 war assets if TIM kills him. I never tested those numbers on low ems. This time I did and it changes nothing. It only effects if your ems is at 2900 or higher.

So if the player heads to Earth with 2900  ems and TIM doesn't shoot Anderson, the player will get the breath scene if destroy is chosen. If the player has TIM shoot Anderson having ems at 2900, the breath scene will not happen if destroy is chosen. The numbers make no difference if ems is at 3200 or higher when heading to Earth.

Whenever I want to get the breath scene, I make sure to have my ems at 3200 or higher when heading to Earth just in case I decide I want TIM to shoot Anderson

I've missed a ton of dialogue in the third game because I find running around the ship each time to be highly tedious. To my mind they made the new Normandy too big.

In ME3's selection screen, Ashley's blue tunic outfit looks different than in-game.

Good catch. I guess they didn't want to put the Spectre logo on her for the Mars scene. Or is she in the alt outfit there?

She's in her alt armor on Mars, but she's wearing the tunic when you meet her before in Vancouver. Her having a spectre logo at that point wouldn't have made much sense indeed.

True, it isn't really Ashley's style at all. Reminds me of her ME1 quote: "If you expect me to get in a tinfoil skirt and some thigh-high boots, I want dinner first."

Next thing they did was put her in a tinfoil skirt with some thigh-high boots. And I didn't even have to buy her dinner.
