-If this mission is played after Rannoch, the pissing contest Garrus and James have on the Crew Deck will change slightly, depending on what happened on Rannoch. When they talk about how great they are when teaming up, Garrus mentions it if peace was made, and if the geth got wiped out. If the quarians died Garrus refers to stopping Cerberus on the Citadel instead.

I... I did not know that. I mostly just skip the Garrus-James 'pissing contest' now so I never the dialogue could change. Cool! Thans for sharing that info!

No problem, I never knew it until today either because I always did that mission before Rannoch :D And it was just pure luck I decided to check out the conversation after Rannoch today (needed Tali for pairing her with James for the mission, hahaha). When Garrus mentioned the geth I was like... wait a sec, I never heard that, did I? And then I just checked it after every Rannoch outcome.

But yet again an instance that shows how cool these little dialogue changes are :)

I just noticed that Legion says "Blue Force fire" when talking about friendly fire. Do you suppose the Geth have training exercises with red versus blue teams?

I just realized that Joker was already having conversation about having sex with EDI even before the Purgatory club scene where you could encourage him to have a relationship with her...... I'm going to c0ck block him... I don't care.

And it all takes place in a canyon. The Blood Gulch Program also requires one of them to start the training with saying "Do you ever wonder why we are here?"

If you bring EDI and James to Citadel Coup, James will exclaim about Cerberus using sword while EDI explained the tactical advantage of it.

Do you mean his conversation with Mordin in the medical bay (during the Tuchanka arc)? I love Eve's reaction there. I used to think the whole Joker-EDI thing was fun, but I think it's kinda messed up now and I usually discourage Joker to pursue it.

Also, EDI's usually dead at the end of my ME3 runs, so discouraging it is less painful in the long run..

I've just discovered how much I hate the mini Normandy on the galaxy map.
It's complete bobbins and doesn't add anything to the game. It's just pointless busy work.

I much prefer Mass Effect 1's galaxy map mechanics myself.

The ME2 galaxy map like you point out does not really add much to the game other than you needing to refuel occasionally.

In ME3, the Normandy makes a certain kind of sense in that you need to evade the Reapers if you scan too much... except that you can easily avoid them to exit and then re-enter the system repeatedly until you get everything you need. So pointless busywork, like you said.

Plus in ME3, I find I do not actually read any of the planet descriptions since I am only scanning the system and not planet-by-planet. I have probably missed a lot of interesting information about planets in the Mass Effect universe.

I sparred with Vega today & never came away with a blood nose.
A screenshot from my last playthrough showed he gave me one then.
Does he usually give you a blood nose?
What determines whether he does or not?

I used to like them too and never really discourage them until in last few playthrough. Had to fight the need to make him happy by giving him a girlfriend..... and that's when my feminism finally kicked in.

EDI doesn't need a boy to make her fulfilled as a person. Her non-romanced conversation support her character progression and depth without Joker-mance. Besides Ex Machina left a bad taste to me about men and fembot....

If you take the first paragon interrupt (IIRC, it might be the second paragon interrupt) then Shepard will dodge Vega's punch.

That would explain it. Nef would certainly not have got any Paragon interrupts.

Here is a version where I planned for both Shepard and Vega to have bloody noses.

My first thought about it when Mass Effect 2 came out was "why I am flying the ship, isn't that what Joker is paid for?"

Start up a new game in Mass Effect 2. Walk towards Joker during the Collector attack. Before you enter the cockpit and trigger the cutscene, look towards the red light on your right. You will notice the escape pod that you shove Joker in later.

Now look where the kinetic barrier is...

Apparently there's two EDI's scenes at Purgotary. If you discourage her and Joker, she will quote Mary Shelley's Frankenstein; "Shall each man find a wife for his bosom, and each beast have his mate, and I be alone?" and another, she will have a drink with Joker (probably if encouraged her but discourage Joker) and she will talk something about Asari's brief relationship with human. Sweet.

Now that is a Renegade option. Why haven't I done that.

I can't remember if I already posted this here before, but the Human Reaper larva has an insta-kill attack. One of their attacks is to destroy one of the platforms on the side, so if you're on one of those while he attacks, you'll fall to your death.

Took me at least 4 playthroughs to find that out, since I usually stick to the middle platform.

I think if you take long enough, it will eventually destroy all the platforms.

I don't believe this is true, at least not on the xbox. I almost always end up having a platform destroyed on me and just end up on a different platform (causing severe disorientation at first).

Hmm, I should test that next time. I don't think it'll ever destroy the middle platform though.
