Used to never check up on Joker much in ME2, decided to this time round. All that dialogue I missed, he says some stuff after people's loyalty missions. I've played this game numerous times

We need Male Shepard to have a redemption dance scene like FemShep gets with Garrus lol and I thought he looked not too bad during Samara's LM too, but FemShep was so painful I don't even try to dance on that mission. I just talk to that guy about Morinth's fav band, help that other guy save the woman from being killed, beat up some Turians trying to steal money and save one of the strippers from a perverted Turian. That makes Morinth quite happy.
Don't pick the persuade option with the Asari. Take the upper right side option.

Spoiler
LOL it still looks better with Male Shep but I'll give it a try with my new FemShep! Male Shep dancing goofy is so adorable!
Update: I decided to rescue Liara first, head to Noveria to get the Mu Relay, then picked up Saren's half of the beacon and once Feros was just completed Liara pieced it all together without her constant faitning spells. It seems to work well this way for the story, including Shepard telling Liara to help because time was running out. Never seen that dialogue before.
I've posted in this thread that I used a singularity on the giant mech in Arrival that sent it up and off the screen. Well I decided to try it with pull. It worked except that it didn't fly off the screen, it was destroyed when it got to a certain height. Not bad.
This was the giant that Shepard faces before talking to Harbinger or collector general, depending on when the dlc is played.

I noticed that on the Broker's ship too. If they reach a certain height, they die.
Tali over-clocks her omni-tool. Logic Arrest or Nexus? She and Kaidan debate.
Never taken Kaidan on this mission before (heck this only my second Kaidan playthrough). I bet Kaidan = Intel fanboy while Tali = AMD fangirl.

The pros and cons they list match the tools' stats in ME1, and I always want Shepard to ask why neither of them is using the Savant model.

Probably because they are so rare outside of Pinnacle Station DLC.
Although I find Logic Arrest and Nexus omni tools are just as rare.
Instead of jumping on the elevator right away carrying the council, wait a few moments. That's what I did. James will say "You're on point, Commander. Go!". I also had Javik with me. Also Kaidan was with the council.
I've done it before and don't recall hearing anyone say anything. Ashley was the one with the council. Don't know if that makes a difference.
In every playthrough I've done of ME3, the scene where a squadmate helps Shepard up on the dreadnought has always had the camera looking down at Shepard and seeing the platform fall to the bottom. This time, the camera showed the back of Shepard as Kaidan helped Shepard up without showing the platform falling
If Kaidan and Javik are taken on the dreadnought, both plus Shepard have some good dialogue about the geth siding with the reapers. The geth VI was present and not Legion. Don't know if that makes a difference.

I thought you always had to take Tali for geth dreadnought - or do you have a way around that? ![]()

I do have a way around that.
Either don't recruit her in ME2 or she dies on the suicide mission. Admiral Xen will take her place, but not as a squadmate
By the way, the larger roles of Xen and Padok are more than reason enough to try at the very least one run of the game with Mordin and Tali dead. The geth vi instead of legion and the presence/absence of Javik can also shake up things more than a little. As well as the differences among the 2 possible virmire survivors.I don´t think any single-player modern game (with the possible exception being Dragon Age) can dream of rivaling Mass Effect´s replay value.
Too bad most people will only play it once or twice (maybe twice as altering gender, or altering alignment) but never experience some of the variables because the loss of some squad-mates (more than required by the story) is viewed as an inferior run of the game. Too bad. Padok and Xen are two fascinating characters that most people will never actually discover in deep.
The problem as I see it with the alternate characters is, for me anyway, we aren't given any reason to kill the mains off in ME2 other than "LOL I iz stupid!"
Even a Renegade Shepard would want a team for a suicide mission to be at their best and ready to fight.
Lorik Qui'in (the sweet and friendly Turian from Noveria in ME1) is also Sovereign (voice actor). I will never look at the "Vanguard of our Destruction" the same way again, and will always expect him to offer my Shepard a drink
and Vigil's VA was in Labyrinth. No wonder I love his voice!
I've posted in this thread that if Shepard is standing in the way of a fighter, it will remove Shepard's shields when it flies out of the hangar. This time I decided to see what happens if using the mech will cause anything. I took control of the mech, ignoring the Cerberus soldiers, and stood in front of the fighter. It launched flying right through the mech without causing any damage.
I rescued the turians just before going to Thessia. I had Kaidan and Javik with me. At one point Kaidan will say, " Wouldn't the turians want the Krogan military to help?". Shepard will respond with "The Alliance is fresh. Lets not mess with it".
I'd love to see more of them but I just can't bring myself to get Mordin and Tali killed (ME3 events notwithstanding).By the way, the larger roles of Xen and Padok are more than reason enough to try at the very least one run of the game with Mordin and Tali dead.

Will Kaidan and Shepard have that exchange no matter who the other squadmate is? I think I've always taken Liara with me, because I like her reaction to the Goddess, but I don't remember that line. Granted, it's been awhile.
I would say yes. If Garrus is taken on the mission, he will over rule everyone else and make a comment.
Just to add. The comment that Shepard responds with only occurs if the mission is completed that late in the game.
Last time, I brought Kaidan and James. It was James who said something about the Krogan and Turian alliance. Now, I always do that quests after Rannoch. Sometimes James tend to have weird priority arrangement.

If Mordin dies in the suicide mission, can you still research upgrades afterwards? If so, I might have to give a Mordin-less ME3 a try.
I had Xen once in ME3, and since she is batsh*t crazy, that is more than enough.
Plus, I missed Tali.

*stares at her "almost everyone dead" ME2 pt*
Yes, you can still do it.

Yes. It will cost more minerals with Mordin not there. I forget how much more. I would suggest you get all the upgrades you want before starting the suicide mission

Good to know. More minerals isn't really an issue for me since I usually end up with 500K or more of everything except eezo, and at least 100K of that. Yes, I'm a compulsive miner. If only you could cash in some of those reserves for credits......
