The only way for Hackett to die is with low ems(below 1750). His ship has no power floating somewhere in space and with no supplies he will likely die of starvation or a lack of oxygen in the ship.

Just discovered two new things in ME2.
First, if you find a pre-positioned thermal clip (as opposed to those dropped by dead enemies), then you can pick up the thermal clip, save, reload, and the thermal clip will be there again for you to pick up all over again. An easy way to refill you ammo supply. An exploit, sure, but I sense that BW must have come to the conclusion that they had been too niggardly with ammo drops in ME2 based on the plentiful ammo you find in ME3.
Second, during the fight with the second YMIR during Kasumi's mission, if you send a drone too far down field it will trigger the second wave of mercs to spawn even though you haven't finished off the first wave. Learned this the hard way when the Asari Vanguard from the second wave suddenly showed up in my face and blew me away.

What if I told you... those clips respawn regardless?

If Garrus is wearing Devlon Industries thermal armor, the "level 1 hazard" timer is nullified when planet exploring in ME1. The level 2 hazard timer is slowed down, but not nullified.

Probably common knowledge, but on the crates mission in ME2, if you fire a missile from here:
Then one by one the Mechs come around to be destroyed, leaving you with all 20 crates:
Well, I tried this and it didn't work. I shot a missile around the corner and a mech came around. But the other two mechs were still out there so when I went around the corner, there they were. Perhaps you failed to mention that you may need to repeat this process three times. Another problem is there is no cover back there. At best you have to run in circles around the shuttle while your team mates take the brunt of the attack.
On the whole, I think it is better to just play it straight. The lack of cover is a huge problem and money is not really that big an issue.

Ah yes, you have to do it three times. I had Garrus and Zaeed with me, and combined with a scorpion firing inferno rounds they go down pretty quickly.

A scorpion? Isn't that an ME3 gun?
And since I am playing on insanity they don't go down quick. Only Shepard seems to go down quick. ![]()

Perhaps he meant the Phalanx. Cause yeah, Scorpion is an ME3 gun.

The planet Klendagon sure gets around. Not only does it orbit Aratoht, it also orbits Freedom's Progress. I had no idea planets could use the mass relay system. By now Klendagon must be exhausted working 3 different jobs.

It's not just Garrus. Put any character into Devlon armour and you gain Hazard protection.
Phoenix Armour from Sirta gives a boost to healing. So it's another 'hidden' feature of an armour set, which makes sense when you look at the company that makes it.
In regard to the Jack as a lesbian LI, I am so very glad Bioware avoided that juvenile trope. Ooh! She's so edgy! And she shaved her head! AND she has dozens of tats.. She MUST be into gay sex. What a bunch of Childish crap
I could understand your anger if Jack did not confirm in the game that she had also had intimate relations with women. She did however, so blocking her romance off from female Shepards seems an odd choice.
However it is not the lack of romance option that irritates me but rather that a good chunk of her development is hidden behind it.
Play as a female Shepard and Jack just kind of stops. It's only with the male romance that you actually get her to open up, emotionally that is.

"I could understand your anger if Jack did not confirm in the game that she had also had intimate relations with women. She did however, so blocking her romance off from female Shepards seems an odd choice."
No, it does not. Not necessarily. One could argue that the female involvement was so traumatic to the point it left her much less willing to repeat the experience than with a male. I think this adds complexity to the character. Not all deceptions and disillusions need to have an identical effect.
"However it is not the lack of romance option that irritates me but rather that a good chunk of her development is hidden behind it."
Again, Jack is not very forthcoming, it´s hard to make her speak about herself, which is totally understandable. One could say she´s more open to a male shepard because she´s looking security in a father like figure she never had. Or because her life has been so dysfunctional to that point, that in order to set things straight she´s only open to a male romance, since it is the natural and normal expected behavior by biological determination when one looks at the human reproduction. I could perfectly see it happening in real life with an individual that was hurt.
If not for details such as this, and the game would have much less replay value to me. Far from being detrimental, this deserves praise. Far from being abolished, details such as this should be more empathized. The characters should have variations of behavior and trust based on you being man or a woman, having biotic abilites of not, being paragon or not, having a family left or not, growing up on a colony, on earth or on ships, being more paragon or more renegade, etc.
I could perfectly see a character like Liara, who lived among asari for most of her life, things that humans are bullies and is intimidated by them having a more natural affinity and trust with a female paragon shepard, since it obvious hits her closer to home. The same goes for a renegade shepard and wrex. Too bad in me1 they did not make tali revealing more info about her mother to a female shepard, and recognizing she misses her father (since she´s for the first time separated from the flotilla) and is now looking for a strong father figure in a gentle paragon shepard or a imposing renegade one capable of keeping her safe (after all, she just survived a hit in which she has been shot). The more your background and character constitution impacts on your conversations, the better for me.
"Play as a female Shepard and Jack just kind of stops. It's only with the male romance that you actually get her to open up, emotionally that is."
This is great! I love when male and female shepards evoke different reactions and degrees of trust in people. It´s a big stimulation to do alternate plays with different character builts. Same thing goes for having characters that are strictly heterosexuals, or who have a very different conversation during ****** plots.
I think they should have gone even further, and made some modifications to Jack, just like the me1 characters (tali, ash, kaidan, liara) react to shepard´s past. It would be great if jack, being very sadistic and frustrate in life, inquired how an renegade shepard felt when he executed the batarians. It would be even better if, should you have an imported me1 save file, she could inquire about killing the colonists, exterminating the rachni, letting the council blow up, executing several people, etc (Rana, Balak, Shiala...).
This could actually be a differential for female shepard. In the same way that samara will react differently if you´re renegade or paragon, Jack could trust a female shep and reveal more things only if shep demonstrated the same destructive tendencies. After all, Jack did have access to cerberus data, and they must contain a lot of info on shepard. Too bad on the citadel dlc, in the scene with jack and miranda there was not a chance of female shepard playing a game of truth or dare with them.

I just played the Jack romance. Isn't there, like, one extra conversation for romanced Jack? Aren't all the ME2 romances like that?
In the base game all you get is Grissom, Purgatory, and the call from London. In Citadel you get two meet ups. (Need to play at least one match at the Arena to get them.) Plus the party.

I can´t remember right now if Jacks sends a letter to shepard telling him to meet her at purgatory, nor if the letter is different in case they´re in romance.

That the actress who voices catwoman and vicky vale in batman arkham as well as daphne in scoobydoo is the same as the salarian dalatrass. And she also happens to voice Nassana Dantius, Lieutenant Durand and Kahlee Sanders. I would never guess that Kahlee and the dalatrass have the same voice actress.
