This is kinda stupid but whatever, it irked me...
I was reading datapads in the Grissom Academy mission and one is an exam question that asks something along the lines of:
"Two enemies are approaching from the left; one shielded, one unshielded; what action do you take to neutralize them?"
Students answer: "Durr, shockwave?"
Correct answer: "A shockwave is ineffective against a shielded target. Use a singularity followed by warp. Both enemies will be caught in the unstable field which can be detonated with warp to take down the shield and take them both out..."
And I'm like, ""Actually Professor Dispshit, a singularity will only briefly stagger a shielded opponent, not ragdoll him and even a lv.6x6 biotic detonation by the most powerful biotic (hey, it's me, Shepard) is not enough to take down the shields and all the health of even a lowly centurion to kill him outright ESPECIALLY when he cannot be the focus target of said explosion as his shield prevents him from being primed by singularity. It's better to warp/throw combo the shielded target (warp can prime though shields) and probably take down the shields and maybe kill the second enemy in the blast and THEN follow up with whatever you've got left to finish him off."
And then I thought to myself... "Maybe it's time I put this game down..."
