Huh. This is totally new to me... While doing Samara's recruitment mission, area behind Captain Wasea got unlocked.

Yea, this only happens if you drag the fight out long enough for her to open it. If I play on my usual difficulty level I finish her off before she gets a chance to throw these crates aside. Fortunately, there is nothing of value back there.

Just before facing the clone the first time, one of the cat 6 guys will say "there's a krogan over there" when none are on the squad

You can't romance Garrus in ME2 if you didn't recruit him in ME1. Luckily my Shep wasn't interested.

I've never romanced him or any alien, but that's the first I've read someone mentioning that especially since he's a romance option in ME2 just like the other romances that are available in ME2.

 

I know if he's not romanced in ME2, he won't be available as a romance option in ME3

If you start a new Shepard in ME2, Liara is still hanging around on the Normandy and plays the part of Kaidan/Ashley in getting the crew into the escape pods.

If you don't kill her before she opens up that area, then when she gets up there, there will be an infinite spawn of Eclipse troopers coming in from the door on the back right. They will keep coming until Wasea is killed.

That face is the stuff of nightmares. What can she be looking at? Shep's butt crack?

In my current playthrough, Legion and Tali didn't survive the suicide mission. When I encountered the geth VI, Shepard and the geth talk about Saren. I don't recall hearing that conversation before. I did not complete Legions loyalty mission. I'm playing renegade and I had James and Ashley with me on the mission. Don't know if those things make a difference

I was wondering... I know lack of loyalty or certain choices in ME3 may lead to death of ME2 squadmates. But what happens if you don't do their ME3 missions? Will they still appear on memorial wall? I'm kinda curious since I always do all ME3 missions, so I had no chance to check it.

IIRC there is no follow up whatsoever, when ignoring those.

(I think I tried it once with Zaeed's and either Grunt's or Jakob's missions)

If Grissom isn't completed, and Jack survived the suicide mission, Shepard will kill her on Chronos since she was turned into a phantom

If the missions involving Jacob, Grunt, Samara, Zaeed, Kasumi are not completed, their names will appear on the memorial wall after completing Chronos. Zaeed's name, for some reason, will never appear on the memorial wall

Also, I think when you ignore Grunt's mission, there will be more Rachni enemies somewhere later. I only read this though, I always rescue the boy.

On Sur'Kesh, if you wait too long to hit the very last button to release the female Krogan (which will trigger the Atlas mech), a Cerberus shuttle will fly in and drop off four more Cerberus Troopers. If it is Mordin in the pod, he will say "We waited too long. Cerberus is dropping off more troops!" or something close to that. Not sure if that would be the same shuttle that drops off the troopers when you fight the Atlas mech.

 

I only found this because I was running around looking for clips for the Black Widow.

I forgot to add this in my post from above.

 

My very first playthrough of ME3, Thane was alive, but I never talked with him on the hospital. Shepard just walked by him without realizing he was to the left in front of the window. The Salarian councilor was killed. After I completed Chronos, I noticed Thane's name on the memorial wall and thought, where was that guy. My second playthrough, a new game plus, I did notice him to the left and talked with him.

Even on the second visit to Tchunka, EDI still calls Wrex 'the local Clan leader'.

There's cutscene on during Reaper IFF mission that'll only occur if you have Garrus or Tali with you.

Nevermind the fact that I also discovered upgrade that I always missed because I ran right to the door to bypass it.

File this under things I probably knew at one time, but totally forgot about and am now re-discovering.

 

In ME3 on Sur'Kesh, if you do not talk to Kirahee before using the elevator to get the Krogan female, his dialogue when you see him later in the mission will be slightly different. You will call him Captain and he will say that he is now a Major. (Whereas he will typically mention this fact when you talk to him before taking the elevator.)

 

I think I recall seeing this particular dialogue in some of the previews or in the Mass Effect 3 demo, but since I usually talk to him beforehand, I have never gotten this dialogue change in-game before.

I assume you are referring to the conversation about the Dragon's Teeth (the spikes the Geth used in ME1)? That scene will also occur with Jacob in your squad.

Ah, thanks. He's actually one of, I think 3 squadmates, that I didn't check.

 

Actually, now that I think about it, it was stupid to not check him. I assumed only those who'd seen them before would have this cutscene. I forgot Jacob was on Eden Prime.
