Maybe it's because this is my first playthrough on a big 43 inch plasma tv instead of a 20 inch standard definition tv with component outlets, but I only just realized that the "flying Normandy" load screen in ME1 (when you're transitioning from galaxy map to landing on a planet) is the Normandy flying sideways or a weirdly angled top-down view of it in FTL travel. I always thought the Normandy looked weird in that load screen, seemed to have parts at angles it normally doesn't. I assumed maybe it just changes shape a bit when in FTL. Now I see that the "bottom" of the Normandy as I saw it was actually the left frontal gun of the Normandy that was facing downward because the ship is sideways.
It's truly amazing. I thought I could still see most details on my old tv because its component video was actually pretty good for standard definition. But I obviously missed a lot of details without knowing it, like this one. It's so OBVIOUS now that it's the Normandy flying sideways, and yet I've done literally dozens of playthroughs before this and I never noticed.
I replayed the Admiral Koris mission a couple times yesterday and today, and here's some new/fun things:
- Ashley has special dialogue with James at the beginning when going down the first slope, in which she refers to a geth armature. Weren't those fun ![]()
Everyone except James and Kaidan also has special dialogue with Tali in this scene.
- There's two different dialogues when triggering the first mine, one when destroying it, one when stepping on it.
- If James is picked for disabling the AA Guns, he has one of the funniest scenes and dialogue, I'll post the link here (EDI's and Shepard's reaction... priceless):
- The fight when disabling the first AA Gun can be skipped. Pick a squad mate for AA Gun duty, then run way back where you came from and use the Follow command. When you return to the area, there are no geth and you can't interact with the AA Gun anymore. The mission can still be completed ![]()
- If you wait until your squad mates have reached Dorn'Hazt first, one of them will tell you they found someone.
- When talking to Ashley back on the Normandy after the mission, her dialogue changes depending on whether you brought her or not.

Spoiler
I also like how James sometimes uses the same technique when trying to board the Normandy in the Citadel DLC.
Reading the dialogues and spot this talk with Chakwas;
And Jeff says, "Jack, Jacqueline, Subject Zero.. sorry, but it's "Ma'am" to me. I'd like to keep my Admiral Winky."
It's his family jewels right? Oh..... #slow

I always got the impression that he was talking about his joystick ![]()
I discovered that Garrus may offer an assist with the Tower of Hanoi, though TBH he wasn't much help.

You don't have to do the battle with clone's flunkies when they ambush you after entering the archives. Just run past the tables and under the ledge on which the clone holds Maya hostage and the animation of that happening will trigger immediately.
Found that out not a minute ago, since I wanted to be more proactive in the fight this time.
O_O I can't believe.... more than a year with this game and I never found "Citadel : Cerberus Retribution" in the Presidium. Had to linger the area when you hear "I don't understand why you're so conflicted." and a red circle will pop up. Didn't affect the game much but lotsa xp points.
Fist is glitched in my ME2 import. He was killed in ME1 by Wrex, but... Well, he's on Omega. Invisible. See, I saved outside Patriarch's room on Omega, right near where Fist hangs out. Nothing out of the ordinary was going on, and that was my final save for the day before bed. Next time I reloaded my game, I heard Fist talking to the Asari he flirts with. But he isn't there, and can't be talked to. I can tell exactly where he is though, my stereo headphones let me zero in on a sound source in a game really easily. So he's invisible and talking to invisible Asari despite being dead, and can't be interacted with and is actually not even 'there' since Shepard doesn't collide with a character model when walking through the sound source.
First the armor glitch with Liara in ME1 just a short time ago (the same playthrough I imported into ME2), now this? This trilogy run is getting weird.
You can meet Liara's Asari 'father' behind her at the bar on the Presidium Commons. :0 I never noticed that Asari bartender could even be interacted with.
Also, I didn't know you could save Steve Cortez from dying by spending more time with him. I never talked to him and assumed he always dies. ![]()

In ME2 when you meet Liara's father, Matriarch Aethyta, she has a unique face model. In ME3 they just gave her a standard Asari NPC face, which is maybe why you never thought to interact with her.
Would it really have been hard for Bioware to take her face from ME2 into ME3? The games use the same engine. Then again this is the Bioware that somehow missed the face import bug, so it probably was too difficult for them.
Yes, I am still bitter about the face import bug. ![]()
Steve has always lived on my play throughs. I might let him die sometimes just so I can see these awesome "STEEEVE!" moments for myself.
Edit: James says something quite rude, so definitely not safe for work.
lol, Alix Wilton Regan and Mathew Del N in the end. Vorcha is probably Mark Meer.
That's not Matthew Del N.egro. I'm 95% certain it's Ike Amadi who is Javik's voice actor. He sounds completely different to Javik here but exactly the same as Koth Vortena from SWTOR (who is also voiced by Ike). Still funny though ![]()
Hmmmm.... do they answer if we tweet them about it?
Also trawling through Iké Amadi's twitter and found out that he married earlier this year. lol... while I was considering romancing him in KOTFE.
So I finally some videos where you can hear LI-specific dialogue while your team checks in on you during the fight against the clone.
Femshep:

There's also a bunch of other fun dialogue in there. Didn't hear most of it until my second Shepard when I was playing on Insanity.
On Edolus there's a place where you can fit all 3 mineral deposits into the same screenshot. The lithium deposit wouldn't be visible if it weren't so bright.

I figured out how the Sythetic Insights Security works at Port Hanshan. Follow these steps for a little extra challenge, XP, and loot:
1. Don't disable Synthetic Insights Security from the panel at the hotel.
2. When you enter the SI office, don't persuade the guards at the door to leave.
3. When the fight begins, don't kill the guards at the door, move off to the right so your squadmates don't kill them either (they will recede initially).
4. When the alarm sounds, proceed with the fight as normal. A bonus assault drone will be on the upper level. Like most drones, it'll drop loot when killed.
5. After departing the office, you can disable the SI securtity at the hotel for even more XP.
Here's a screenshot from the fight. Notice on the far wall that the door panel is red. I always wondered what door that thing was attached to, but it appears to have been re-purposed by SI to serve as their security status panel.

Just before Citadel coup in ME3, anyone connect the dots? On Liara's terminal, it shows the recent traffic of different mass relays. The Widow (Citadel) relay shows a massive 95% spike in traffic, while the Omega relay shows the second biggest spike of 65%. Now, Omega is one the biggest Cerberus bases and staging areas in the galaxy as of ME3, maybe the biggest of them all. What this traffic tells you is that there's a sudden troop movement from the Omega relay to the Citadel, the two spikes in traffic are directly related. Granted, being able to do the Omega DLC before then screws that up, kinda breaks this foreshadowing. Still, I think it's still clearly meant to make you suspicious.
It's also why I do Omega immediately after the coup. I think Aria and Shepard might decide that after a massive attack on the Citadel, after they potentially weakened their own forces in the attack, would be the perfect time to hit right back. Like a big counteroffensive right back to Cerberus after their offensive on the Citadel, as a direct response. I think that makes a lot of narrative sense.

<snip>
Well crap. No, I never connected those dots. Under my nose the whole time and I completely missed it.
Well, I always just thought it was just refugee traffic. Cerberus intentionally using it to hide their troop movement makes a lot of sense actually.

I tweeted Alix Wilton Regan links to videos of ME3 characters that I thought she voiced and asked her to confirm and she did.

Then I got cocky and tweeted Cher but she ignored me ![]()
I'm currently playing Witcher 3, and while walking around I overheard a drunk say "the reapers are after me".
For the last 30 minutes, I've been watching the endings on youtube. I noticed in the original and extended cut that the characters seen raising their arms cheering only happens in the destroy and control endings, but not in the synthesis ending
I think that Bryan Hitch (writer on the new Justice League Rebirth) must be a Mass Effect fan.
A Reaper lands and proceeds to Harvest humanity. Superman discovers the creature is techno-organic.
