Depending on your playthrough in ME2, Jack and Jacob can be the only ME2 squadmates alive at the end of ME3. That's if you encounter every ME2 squadmate in ME3

If you do Grissom Academy, Jack will live whether she's loyal or not. She will be killed on Chronos as a phantom if you don't do Grissom

The only way for Jacob to die is not to do the ex-Cerberus scientists mission. His name will appear on the wall after Chronos. He will survive whether he's loyal or not when you do the mission

Mordin will die/killed depending on curing/sabotaging the genophage. He doesn't have to be loyal

Grunt will always die without being loyal.

Miranda will die if not loyal and can die being loyal depending on Shepard's action's

Samara will shoot herself, loyal or not, unless Shepard stops her with an interrupt

Tali wil commit suicide, loyal or not, if the Geth are chosen and can die on the beam run(below 1900 ems)

Garrus can die, loyal or not, on beam run(below 1900 ems)

Legion will always die

Zaeed and Kasumi will die if both aren't loyal

Thane will always die whether he's loyal or not.

I believe that Jack and Jacob would dieif your ems is below 1750

In ME1, Wrex will always survive Virmire if you don't recruit Garrus and Liara is not rescued. The only way for him to be killed on Virmire, if you choose to kill him, is to have Garrus or Liara or both are present.

Unless you sabotage with Wrex and Eve dead, in which case Mordin survives. Loyalty is not a factor.

When Garrus first speaks on Menae his subtitle says he's "Turian Soldier," presumably because Shepard hasn't seen him yet.

Mordin always will die if Wrex is in charge. He can survive if Wreav is in charge

That's what I said; Wrex and Eve dead.

Edit: oh, you thought that meant Wrex alive and Eve dead?

Looking at it now, I did misread what you posted.

Also the only way for Mordin to live is to pick the correct dialogue otherwise he will die. With Jacob and Jack, once the mission  is started invloving them, they will survive without any help from any dialogue or interrupts.

ME3s Presidium plays an ad for "Varren-cloaka margarine".

I've never heard that one before!

I just discovered a neat little trick to conserve ammo on the Shadow Broker ship. Singularity will set off the lightning capacitors whenever they charge up. So if you lay down a Singularity on a capacitor, it will go off when it first hits, and then as long as the Singularity remains active the capacitor will fire every time it charges. Saves you from having to shoot them. During the big final battle outside, I had Adept Shepard toss a singularity at one capacitor while Liara placed a singularity on the other. Zap, zap, zap.

Haven't read all the posts on this thread so I apologize if this has been mentioned already.

Noticed something new while playing Citadel DLC post mission/party just hanging around Silver Coast Casino.

If you walk over to the two Krogan bouncers guarding the locked door behind the fountain they will initially tell you to get lost but if you go back they start telling jokes to each other and complaining about their jobs. The jokes are lame but in a funny way.

Played Citadel DLC many times before but only noticed this the other night.

When fighting the cannibals on Earth at the beginning while waiting for the Normandy, if you take the fight to them, after a few moments Joker will say, The calvary has arrived bombing that area with Anderson and Shepard in the blast zone.

Before climbing down the ladder to the building you see the kid enter, turn around and walk to the edge, you will see two skycars below in the parking lot

When the hologram takes over robot eva and becomes robot edi, it will have no damage on it from being on fire and the shots that were fired at it from Ashley/Kaidan and Shepard. Does it have its own repair protocol like the Colossus on Haelstom? If so, why does it need med-gel if it "dies" during a mission?

First or second conversation with EDI on the Normandy, she says something about the body being capable of limited self-repair. Maybe it fully repairs given enough time, but during a mission there's not enough time. I dunno, just guessing.

Reminds me of Morte in Planescape: Torment, in a non-standard-NPC-behaving-like-everyone-else kinda way; He's a floating skull, but he still sets off floor traps.

Up until  edi took over the platform, robot eva wasn't functioning at all, so repairing itself would be unlikely.

Hmm... EDI may have activated a self-repair protocol long before she attempted taking control. There was also the time from the beginning of the mission on Menae until our return to the ship, for her to repair. Who knows.

It's too bad we couldn't find a schematic for a new epidermal layer during one of our many missions against Cerberus.

I am probably late to the game here, but I finally figured out why you get some of these seemingly pointless hack/bypass mini-games in ME2; seemingly pointless in that if you fail the first time, you just have to do it again (and again) until you succeed. It is to keep the player from triggering the next cut-scene/confrontation before the current battle ends.

I was watching ChristopherOdd playing the first Leviathan mission and was wondering how he would deal with his first encounter with Banshees. But he ended up missing those two Banshees that drop in at the end of the first battle because he hit the door lock that triggers the next phase of the fight before they could attack him. That's when it occurred to me that if not for the mini-games in ME2 you could simply run past all the enemies and trigger one cut-scene after another without ever having to fight.

Dany Shepard may continue tomorrow!!!

EDIT: I've been watching Odd too. Not subscribed but bookmarked and then I'll decide whether to subscribe at some point.

Hi guys,

Really fascinating stuff youve found! Before I go ahead with my (insert ridiculously high number here) playthrough I wanted to see if anyone's discovered these things already:

-will doing N7 missions trigger the Shroud mission on Tuchunka arc? I'd like to get Ashley and Tali's input on the side missions in tuchunka arc in a single playthrough; if N7 missions won't do it, will any other mission (other than Grissom) accomplish this? Speaking of Grissom...

-Does Jack make any comments about Grunt or Mordin if you do their missions before meeting her?

-Does Mordin comment on Jack or Grunt at any point?

-and finally, the most difficult question, do Shepards with different origins prompt different responses in any romances? I've heard that Spacer Shep gets cool responses from Tali and Ashley but haven't seen proof of this yet

Thanks guys!

I've tried doing some of them not noticing an enemy mook still around and have got interrupted, but they may have only been the single-attempt credits ones. It raises the question can you get through a door during a battle if your squadmates manage to keep the enemy occupied?

According to the wiki, during the first Scion/Husk fight on the Reaper IFF, the one with the long hall and dragon teeth, if you are quick enough you can avoid the fight altogether by bypassing the door lock that leads to the next section where you first see Legion. I have never tried it, but I imagine you could place your squad in a blocking position while you bypass the door.

N7 missions will not trigger Priority: Tuchanka. You have to do either the Rachni mission or the Turian Platoon mission. For Tali's comments on either, you need to save those missions until after the Rannoch arc, but before meeting the Asari Councilor. Tali has some interesting and little heard dialogue on both Turian Platoon and Tuchanka Bomb

-Does Jack make any comments about Grunt or Mordin if you do their missions before meeting her?

No, her only comment is about killing Miranda (not a great start). Grunt has some funny dialogue on her recruitment mission.

-Does Mordin comment on Jack or Grunt at any point?

Mordin comments on Okeer's work, but not on Grunt since we don't know anything about him yet. He does not comment on Grunt after he is "birthed." If you romance Jack, then Mordin's sex tips will mention her biotics and its potential for enhanced sex.

-and finally, the most difficult question, do Shepards with different origins prompt different responses in any romances? I've heard that Spacer Shep gets cool responses from Tali and Ashley but haven't seen proof of this yet

AFAIK, this is mainly a ME1 thing, though I believe Tali has some comments on Spacer Shep during the ME2 romance arc.

Thanks guys!

No N7 mission will trigger the Tuchanka mission. Only Rachni and Turian Platoon will do that. You can do the Rachni mission, then cure/sabotage genophage and coup. Bring Ashley back on the ship, go pick up Tali and have the two of them do Platoon and bomb mission. You can save those for after Rannoch if you choose. Just do those missions before going to Thessia.

Or if you like you can do Platoon, cure/sabotage genophage, the coup and pick up Tali. Go straight to Tuchanka for the bomb mission. The rachni mission can be done before Chronos.

You can save all side missions, except Grissom, till after the coup where you can bring both Tali and Ashley together.

-Does Jack make any comments about Grunt or Mordin if you do their missions before meeting her?

-Does Mordin comment on Jack or Grunt at any point?

Not that I recall

If you don't talk to Vega at all, he will not be seen in the mess hall cooking eggs.

If you want to save lives while running to the beam, turn around and run backwards towards the beam. You see no one except your squadmates and only see about 2 maybe 3 gunships fly over.

If you don't do the Turian Platoon mission before Thessia, it will be removed from the galaxy map after Thessia is completed. And if you talk with Primarch Victus in London he will not mention his son, but does mention that Wreav wasn't able to get more clan support. I would guess he would say Wrex's name if Wreav is not in charge.

Grissom Academy won't trigger it either?
