How do you get that dialogue? I always hear another version.
You cannot recruit Garrus in ME1. Therefore he never met Liara in ME1 and therefore she does not ask him if he wants to come by her cabin.

Thank you. Never had a playthrough where I didn't recruit Garrus. I did have one playthrough where I didn't recruit Wrex.

What's funny about that is if he's dead, she mentions his name during the Palaven mission even when they've never met in ME1 and ME2. I have had Liara ask if wants to come to her cabin even when I didn't recruit him in ME1. Maybe I have a bug/glitch. I don't know.

She may have met him on Illium or the Shadow Broker base when Shepard stops by. For instance, she talks about Miranda being a strong woman (driven?) even though technically they haven't met.

I guess the same could be said if you don't have her and Garrus at Virmire with Kirrahe alive and all three apparently know each other when they meet on Sur'Kesh.
Why is it that the geth platforms depicted in the data archives of the geth consensus have voices? I thought Legion was like a prototype, built especially to interact verbally with organics.
Well he's already visualizing that the Quarians have suits, so maybe the program is converting the bleep-bloops into English or whatever.
That would be reasonable. Just seemed odd. Shep has interacted with non-verbal geth too.Well he's already visualizing that the Quarians have suits, so maybe the program is converting the bleep-bloops into English or whatever.
Tali explains in me1 that the geth from 2 centuries before started to inquire the quarians about matters of existence.
They only need to talk to organics. When dealing with other geth, they can communicate by wireless connection.
I guess the geth enemies in me1 and 2 were simply not interested in talking to people. Strangely, when you do legions/geth vi sidemission in me3, at the end the primes are still mute. They simply let legion know their intentions, but never adress the organics (nor edi) directly. However, without any hardware upgrades the prime will adress admiral rann if peace is achieved, or shepard in case only the geth survive.
Now I´m curious about tali talks with garrus about me1´s missions. In one they mention the rachni and the thorian.
I guess my savegame was simply bugged when I tried to play without ever recruiting garrus in me1. During all of his talks he acted as if he knew tali and liara for several years in me3.

I thought that line comes up when you don't do LotSB, even when Garrus was recruited.
I just discovered Matriarch Aethyta at Apollo's in ME3. It doesn't help that she appears to be a blue Asari in ME2 but in ME3 she is full on purple.

Obviously she went to a tanning salon.
I found out you can romance Jack and Ash at the same time.
This might be common, but I always find it funny that Bioware sort of completely missed what could be a spoiler bug.
If you talk to Kelly in ME3 too many times before the Cerberus Coup, she will end up saying her line:
"I heard about the horrible things Cerberus did during the Coup, that's not the organisation I joined."
And I was like: "What coup? What the heck are you talking about, Kelly? I haven't even finished curing the genophage yet." ![]()

There's a couple of Kelly-related bugs here. Like, if you convince Kelly to change her identity, but miss the subsequent encounter when she tells Shepard her new name, after the coup, Ken and Gabby may talk about how Cerberus murdered her, but she will be there at the docks to welcome Shepard anyway.
Oh, Kelly. She deserved better than her ME3 role. She was such a sweetie.
not sure if this has been mentioned
After killing the first Scion that is encounter, if Garrus, Tali or Jacob are on the mission, they have dialogue talking about the dragon's teeth that is seen in the background.
When opening Shepard's private terminal with team status highlighted, there are 4 silhouttes. Garrus, Thane, Tali and Mordin
I found out you can romance Jack and Ash at the same time.
That would be an odd threesome.
She should have been permitted to come to the apartment in the DLC, but I think Gabby and Ken should have been too.Oh, Kelly. She deserved better than her ME3 role. She was such a sweetie.

Very weird.
Apparently saving Cerberus scientists after destroying Geth provides different dialogue options with Dr. Archer:
I wonder what dialogue would be if Shepard saved Geth or made peace.
This is great news, thank you. Finally I found the one thing I've missed in all of my time playing Mass Effect. Been slowly working my way through this topic hoping to find something I might have missed. Was ready to start giving up, and just settle for: Been there, done that... for everything in ME. I love exploring and finding those tiny little things in ME. I'm sure there is some more stuff for me to discover yet, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find anything new. Yes, I am really that obsessed with exploring ME, millions of playthroughs or whatnot, no point even trying to count how many times I've played the games.
So silly when I miss something so obvious ![]()

Same with Dr.Chakwas and Engineer Adams. The reason why Chakwas wasn't at the party was some emergency medical consult on the Citadel according to Traynor.
I thought that line comes up when you don't do LotSB, even when Garrus was recruited.
I do not think so. I got that line with a Shepard that did not recruit Garrus but did complete Lair of the Shadow Broker.
Just discovered this when fooling around. You need a sniper rifle or weapon with a scope to see it.
In ME3 on the N7:Cerberus Abductions mission (Benning), if you scope the dog tags, you can see a picture of the Normandy on it.
According to the wiki, during the first Scion/Husk fight on the Reaper IFF, the one with the long hall and dragon teeth, if you are quick enough you can avoid the fight altogether by bypassing the door lock that leads to the next section where you first see Legion. I have never tried it, but I imagine you could place your squad in a blocking position while you bypass the door.
Yes, you can do this with pretty much all the bybass/hacks in ME2 as long as you don't take any damage.
Nice for skipping through the IFF mission.
Horizon final area: Don't wanna fight 2 scions and huskys? Stealth/biotic charge to the AA gun controls and hope you get a fast Hack so you can skip that part of the fight.
And like a lot of other games, you can stop enemies from spawning by going into their spawn area or activating a cutscene.
A simple example is Tali's LM where you end up fighting lots of Geth coming from the first set of doors, storm quickly through the doors and the geth will stop spawning. Remember that cutscene with Tali's dead father? Biotic charge into it to trigger the cutscene and skip all the geth killing.
Things like these are especially useful if you wanna do a fastrun/speedrun.
Back to little things you may or may not know:
ME1:
All the endgame cutscenes (the actual movie BIK files) that have the Normandy in them. During the Battle of the Citadel you will always see the Normandy, and if you look closely a little off to the sides you'll notice two or one tiny ships that move and react exactly as the regular Normandy does in the cutscenes. Easiest to spot them is after you choose to save/kill the Council, and the Normandy goes flying in towards /inbetween the Citadel arms, you'll see the two tiny ones doing the exact same thing.
