saw this on reddit. apparently you can see this during Priority: Citadel, right when you first encounter phantoms.
That is outstanding. lol

Jack was always on the verge of breaking out into song, much like the Chicago musical.
That just gave me an idea for Mass Effect: The Gamesical.
(Citadel DLC): If you brought Garrus on Mordin's loyalty mission in ME2, the former talked about how his favorite places to battle through. If you bring Garrus along while retaking the Normandy, he will make a reference to his dialogue during said ME2 mission while you fight in the CIC.
I was always a bit curious about whether or not the game actually accounted for bringing Garrus along in this mission, or if the conversation is exactly the same regardless. I could never really take the time to find out myself.
Probably common knowledge by now BUT. If you're doing the 2nd Thanix missile part of no mans land you can hide behind the phone booth (on the left in front of the building where you defend your left flank) and every single banshee/marauder that comes towards you will form a straight line and get blown away by the destroyers beam, very handy if you're playing on insane, you can then run straight over and activate the missiles without dying. Your squad mates will be killed repeatedly.
Who needs to hide behind a phonebooth when *BOOM*KLAPOW*WHAMBAM* is right underneath your fingertips?

Yep. Its funny watching all the screaming teenagers get zapped by the destroyer.
It's hell fun if you try and revive your squaddies by running up to them and dodge the beam and the banshees and try to make it back in time.
Boom blam kapows only go so far against 3-4 banshees on insanity and they keep spawning till the timer runs out. Compared to Marauder Shields on insanity though it's probably childs play, which reminds me when dealing with MR Shields walking backwards steadies your aim and if you die more than twice it actually gets HARDER to aim reload the mission.

I did not know that. Guess I'll have to give it a try. Why would your squad get blown away? Can't you just put them some place safe?
You can try but for the most part the beam goes through cover with the exception of a few places. And if they're running around they stay close to you which keeps the banshees infront of you instead of deviating to right or left the beam will always target you specifically so it's right where you want them.

My squadmates rarely died when the destroyer had its beam zig-zagging all over the place. I usually kept them to the left of the booth where the beam can't reach.
Since you mentioned the destroyer firing its beam at Shepard on insanity mode, it will not on narrative mode. Not sure about casual mode. It will on normal and hardcore mode.
I don't know if this is a little thing and it's not something I just noticed. But I get the feeling that the lighting down in the ME2 lower engineering deck is lit specifically for the Jack conversations. When she talks about her past you always have the red lighting in the background and as you move past the facade you get more shots with the blue lit parts in the scene.
I especially love the bit where she suggestly holds the gun up whilst back lit - the apparently broken abused woman can only be 'saved' by a man eh - very subtle Bioware I don't think.

Oh?
I thought we were all a fan here of making her cry and then continue making avances until she just doesn't know a way to say no anymore.

Yep, not creepy or abusive AT ALL that.

The really screwed up part being that if you do decide to let it go... you can't romance her anymore.
You have to rebreak her spirit.
Yes but the really creepy thing is that only a guy can help jack.. if you are a woman? Well she remains broken.. women that have suffered such extensive abuse and trauma can only be redeemed by having sex with a guy who breaks her..
Problematic.
Just noticed that the Communications Tech at the London FOB in ME3 used to be the Normandy's Alliance Requisition Officer in ME1.
It's not just re-using the same game model, he actually has the same voice aswell.
Shepard doesn't even say hello so maybe he was taking kickbacks in ME1, got demoted and ended up in London.
If you take EDI and Javik on the Citadel Coup mission, when the police cruiser crashes, EDI expresses her concern that Javik has sustained a concussion and suggests medi-gel. Javik rejects the idea of putting goo on his head. (Can't remember the exact wording.)
Instead of using the turret on Thessia, I stood behind the Asari holding the bubble while shooting and using biotics to kill the uglies. Lt. Kurin the whole time yelling at me to get on the gun, and at the same time I had my sqyadmates and 4 Asari stand near me doing nothing. Gotta love the team spirit.
After killing the first banshee on Thessia, Liara, Shepard and Javik will have different dialogue depending on if you did the Monestary mission before Thessia or not.
In the chapel when activating each artifact, why isn't the beacon itself being activated as well?

Wait. You don't have to use the turret? I thought the enemy spawns did not start until you used that turret? (and then the game forces you to stay on it even though you can kill faster without it).

I've done it a couple of times before. This is the first time I actually stood behind the barrier and away from the turret to kill the uglies.
The only turrets that have to be used or at least have Shepard stand behind is the one on Rannoch when the reaper emerges from its hidey-hole and the one in London.

She really does freak out that you're not using the turret, doesn't she? ![]()
I just discovered this in ME1, in Eden Prime, don't activate the beacon immediately, but go beyond the beacon to approach the view, and there will trigger a dialogue about Sovereign's landing site. It looks quite impressive and only on my 6th playthrough did I notice it.
EDIT: Just realized this has been posted, sorry about that. Will check more carefully next time.
