No, I haven't. I could try, but Shockwave might only detonate Slam during its lifting phase. I don't think Slam primes after they're slammed. Shockwave only becomes primes with Rank 6b. I'll see.

I never use shockwave so I dunno how it works, but for Slam and Lash I think it works because of what you said earlier, and, that they work as direct opposites. Slam primes on touch, detonates on the actual slam motion, Lash detonates upon touch, then primes. <-- could you check this last part? That the priming happens after the detonation? cause that would explain why it works. There's no priming to remove by a detionation because it happens afterwards, and because the Slam animation not being completed, the second prime gets detonated as well.

Lash cannot prime if it was used as a detonator. To get Lash to prime again would require you to throw another Lash. If a power that can fulfill either jobs can prime after it has been used to detonate, the combo of powers that can fulfill both jobs would be insanely OP. For example: Warp + Reave.

yet it is still primed after you combine it with a lash :P must be the combination with slam then.

Lash's main purpose is to ragdoll, and it becomes more useful if you spec it to pierce through barriers and shields allowing you to ragdoll protected enemies besides armored enemies. I believe you need the pierce evolution to actually prime protected enemies. I think Lash is bugged towards Slam, because Lash is a DLC power. I think the devs didn't bother to fix its interaction towards slam, because Slam is of little interest given its properties being almost identical to Pull. The difference here is that Pull is actually in the Multiplayer, therefore, Lash was never fixed towards the biotic combo with Slam. That's just my theory.

I tried to 'like' this but I've hit my quota for the day.

oh sorry, I meant Shockwave + Lash, with shockwave suspending guys in the air after it hits them, and then Lash 'em.

Did you try it with shockwave?

Alright I tried it with Shockwave. Shockwave's lift evolution primes for about 2 seconds, and if Slam does not slam within that brief moment, no biotic explosion occurs. Shockwave can detonate a target being lifted by Slam, and Shockwave's lift can be detonated by Slam, but there's no buggy interaction between the two.

Slam does detonate a Pulled target either upon contact, or if the target gets lifted by Pull during Slam's lift, Slam will detonate the Pull when Slam slams the target.

I could try it, just have to use gibbed to change shep's class; haven't got an adept game saved.

Okay, yes, both can detonate one another given that Shockwave is specced to lift. Lash will detonate the lifted target by Shockwave and vice versa, but there's another buggy interaction as well. If you prime with the lifting Shockwave and detonate the lifted target with Lash and then hit them with another Shockwave right after the Lash, it will cause another detonation.

Slam does detonate a Pulled target either upon contact, or if the target gets lifted by Pull during Slam's lift, Slam will detonate the Pull when Slam slams the target.

Did I read this correctly and does slam detonate a pull upon contact?

What the...?

Awesome. adeptshep it is for next game.

Apparently it does since the lifting property of Slam is either a detonator or a primer, but it can only do both if the enemy is not protected by armor, barriers, or shields.

Wikia:

When Slam is used as a finisher to detonate biotic effects, the explosion occurs at the height of lift. This generally limits the biotic detonation effectiveness to other lifted enemies in the vicinity affected by the similar lifting effects produced by Singularity or Lift Grenade.

... what the? I thought the detonation happened upon hiting the ground

I'm confused now

LOL! Given that both powers do have Biotic Explosion damage increase evolutions, you can cause some serious damage. But you have to remember that Shockwave is best used as a detonator and not as a primer given the fact that Shockwave's radius evolution is bugged and does not work on PC(Only works on consoles)and you can only lift targets with no protection.

The radius evolution is bugged? I didn't know that.

Well, apparently the wikia is wrong. It's also wrong about some other things too.

During the initial investigate dialogue with Javik right after you pick him up, his name in the subtitles is "Prothean", not "Javik".

Maybe those pages need to be edited, then?

Well, if someone wants to they can, but the moderators there go back fix them anyways, and so, I stopped trying.

That's because he doesn't tell you his name until the end of that conversation ;)

Maybe you have to actually make a case for the edit in the talk page? I don't really know what policy is over there.

Even if you never had any dealings with General Oraka in ME1, Shepard will still greet him in ME3 the same way as if she had.

Yesterday I combined Javik's slam with Shepard's lash to produce a double biotic explosion.. twice, first by accident, second on purpose.

...and then I failed to reproduce it again. Will try again sometime today, but maybe I bugged out or something.

I just realized it might not have occured again because it happened when Marauders were in the battle, and they increase the armor of other mooks. In the other instances there were no Marauders so the first explosion probably killed the mook.

Okay, so this post spawned a big discussion about double detonations with Lash and Slam. I am somewhat peeved that I missed this conversation when it happened.

To re-iterate what you guys discussed, yes it appears that Slam has two distinct actions: the lift and the slam; the slam action will detonate biotic explosions. Lash apparently also has two distinct actions: the grab and the pull; the grab action detonates biotic explosions. So what you are seeing is: 1) Slam lifts, setting up biotic explosion; 2) Lash grabs, detonating the explosion; 3) Lash pulls, setting up a biotic explosion; and then finally 4) Slam slams, detonating the biotic explosion.

This was brought up on the forums over a year ago; doubtful I can find the original post. I made this video in response showing how it works. It was actually in response to someone who noticed Slam+Lash created double detonations and wanted to know if Lift Grenade with the Slam evolution would do the same thing (it doesn't).

I later did one of the N7 missions with Javik creating double detonations.

Not really. Slam is part of the vanilla files along with Domination. They're both powers from the previous game, and can be unlocked right away if you have unlocked them ME2.

Incorrect. Unless you use Gibbed or something, Slam is only unlockable with the From Ashes DLC by talking to Javik enough times, similar to all the other bonus powers.

Dominate is unlocked as a bonus power for completing the Leviathan DLC.

I obtained it before I ever played through From Ashes on PS3 during my first ME3 import. It is located within the vanilla files. From Ashes gives you an alternative plot condition to unlock it much like Dominate.
