Just finished playing Arrival as an adept. Just before talking with Harbinger, I used a singularity on the giant mech and it flew off the screen. Cool. Never had that happen before.

I'm playing an Adept at the moment and I'll be playing Arrival after a couple of more side missions so I'll have to try this.  ;)

When checking war assets, mineral resources gives 10, 25 or 100.

To receive 10 war assets

The minerals scanned in ME2 are lower than 100 000

To receive 25 war assets

The minerals scanned total over 100 000 each except element zero which can be below 100 000

To receive 100 war assets

In ME1

UNC: Prothean Data Discs. Need to collect 7

UNC: Turian Insignias. Need to collect 13

UNC: Valuable minerals. Heavy Metals need to collect 20

Rare Metals need to collect 20

Light Metals need to collect 20

                                             Gasses need to collect 6

UNC: Locate signs of Battle.  Salarian ID Tags need to collect 3

League of One Medallions need to collect 10

For ME2

Need 100 000 for each resource collected through planet scanning

When I did this, I started with 52 500 of each  for importing a save from ME1, so I don't know if that counts towards the number. I collected over 100 000 for each just to make sure

Some helpful tips

When collecting the items in ME1, once you have the correct number, that item will not be highlighted anymore and turn gray indicating that number has been fulfilled. But there are more of that item in the game and if you collect another of that same item, it becomes highlighted again. Not sure if that will cause a problem when importing into ME3. The imported save might  think that item still needs to be collected. As a suggestion, I would collect only the required number for that item

In ME2, I would collect the required resources needed before doing the suicide mission because you may decide to import your save right away into ME3 and if Mordin is killed during the suicide mission, the cost of upgrades increases with him not being there causing you to do more scanning then what is necessary.

Two things I noticed recently.  On Garrus' recruitment, his gun briefly changed from a mantis to a viper during the cutscene.

Secondly, when I went to Purgatory to recruit Jack, the same logo all over the Teltin facility (which I used to think was an early Cerberus logo) can be seen in the docking area.

I too just noticed this while I was looking at a vid of the Archangel mission.

If Kirrahe is alive and Shepard speaks with him on Sur'kesh, he will mention he will be on a security detail for the Salarian Councilor after the female Krogan is handed over. He only mentions this if Thane wasn't recruited in ME2 or died during the suicide mission

This might of been mentioned before. Kirrahe will mention the stand-off with Urdnot Wrex even if he wasn't recruited in ME1

Meaning that you can skip the ME2 mining if you complete all the ME1 collection quests?

No. You have to have at least 100 000 of each. Not sure if it counts what the player receives at the beginning of the game or not. I just mine 100 000 of each to make sure.

BUG:  Avoid these areas.  It causes my Shep to immediately elevate about 10ft off the ground and you can't get out.   This is 100% reproducible (on my machine) so watch it!

ME2 Horizon:  after the first shootout, you progress thru the other side & to the LEFT there is a table with a PDA on it.  If you get too close, BAM!  Keep your distance -- as far as possible if you want to pick it up.

ME2 Horizon:  Before you meet the mechanic, there is a shootout with the collectors (Harb assuming control).  To the RIGHT is where the mechanic is.   To the extreme LEFT is a 90-degree walkway to take cover.   Walk in that and BAM!

Yeah, that happens in a lot of places. Pain in the ass if you haven't saved for awhile.

Yep... happened to me last night. Hate it there because you have to do the whole thing again from the beginning. I mean, it was fun once.

I wonder, can you save and reload? In ME3, when I get stuck in the cockpit, a simple save/reload fixes the problem.

Added: if you watch the vid for a few minutes on the second attempt, you'll see Shepard gets stuck just millimeters away from the control panel you need to activate to end the mission.

I never tried a quicksave-quickload. Regular save is disabled on the menu, so I just figured it wouldn't work.

Urgh, I hate that bug, it always happens to me on N7:Blood Pack Communications Relay and N7:Strontium Mule. IIRC, to fix it, you need to walk and melee in the direction that caused you to go up in the air. I'll try and find the post with the solution.

EDIT:Here we go!

SOLUTION:

To get unstuck, what you need to do is spam the Melee key while tapping a,d,s,w and the space key for about 10 seconds. Once your character starts to move, keep meleeing and walking in the direction you touched that made you go up and eventually you fall down! This has worked for me 4/4 times.  :DNo reload of your last save needed!

This bug really needs to be fixed! <_<

This solution works for me 100% of the time, so I never have to reload and lose progress.

This explains why I've never had any trouble getting the 100 war assets whilst most people do, I always do the mineral missions. Collecting more minerals than you need won't affect your resource war asset when you import into ME3 btw, I always go over the required number(since I haven't memorised which plants and asteroids hold which minerals yet) and I have always been able to get the full 100.

And yes, all the import resources you get count towards the 100k. The only resources which don't count are those which are added with Gibbed and,  MAYBE, those resources which are gathered after the suicide mission. The last part is still heavily up for debate though, since tests have been inconclusive. Some say they gathered the resources after the SM and managed to get all 100 war assets, whilst others say they did the same thing and got 25 war assets instead.

It could just be a case of, that the people who got 25 WA's didn't do the mineral missions in ME1.

That's a nice fix.

I use ghost walking on PC with a keybind. Simple, and fast.

Speaking of bugs, after you've dealt with Maelon on Mordins LM, you get the option to stay and get a 3k credit pickup or leave. 99% of the time if you stay, you're unable to leave and have to reload.

This happens to me on both consoles, but not sure of PC.  I just leave now and don't bother with the creds.

Really? I've never had that problem. Not once. First I've heard of it.

Two little things I just discovered watching some playthroughs.

First, there is a money drop in the final room where the Reaper Core is on the Derelict Reaper mission.

Second, I just noticed that Singularity will float a Scion corpse. (Too bad it won't float a live Scion. :))

I've had that happen to me on PC a couple of times (getting stuck at the end of Mordin's LM).
