Having a look around when cut scenes are playing is quite interesting as it can show all the smoke and mirrors bioware uses.

If Shepard chooses to give the Geth to Cerberus, she/he will recognize it on the dreadnought by saying she/he remembers it on the disabled reaper, but if Shepard chooses to keep it and not activate it, she/he will not recognize it on the dreadnought.

That after doing the ME1 mission for Chellick, Gideon Emery does a terrible American accent.

There is also no reference to the sniper rifle.
In fact the whole mission is much shorter.

If you sell Legion to cerberus, during the geth consensus mission you don't get the scene featuring shepard as one of the memory scenes.
There is also no reference to the sniper rifle.
In fact the whole mission is much shorter.
And yet, Not-Legion calls up EDI and tells her her "new platform" is inefficient as if he had met her before.

It's obvious she's based in the ship.

After Joker talks to Shepard about having a party, he is shown leaving without limping.

In ME1, when you talk to Liara, she never uses contractions in her speech. However, her subtitles will show her using contractions even though she never did.

On this play through of ME3 I did not get the scene with Liara and the time capsule.

I'm sure you talked with her. I know Shepard has to talk with her at least twice for that scene.
In one playthrough, I talked with her, but it wasn't until after the dreadnought mission that the time capsule scene happened

I'm about to hit Cronos.
We talked and once she gave me the "You went back to Thane. I'm tired of these games, Shepard."
Then after the coup, I even locked in the romance.
I spoke with her after each mission. I guess she didn't want to include Shepard in the time capsule because "You went back to Thane."

Did you do any N7 missions? On my current playthrough, in between the bomb missions and the cure mission, I did N7: Cerberus Attack (firebase Giant) and that's when Liara sent me the email for her project.

That's weird cause I remember dumping Liara for Thane (and then Traynor) in a recent playthrough and I still got the time capsule scene. I guess basically if you choose to refuse, the next cycle is f*cked.I did them all. She's mad at me for Thane.

Wasn't this how the crew of the Enterprise figured out that Lore was an imposter posing as Data?

The example I remember off the top of my head was an episode where Riker was able to figure out that he was in a holographic simulation of the Enterprise, and one of the bits of evidence that led him to this conclusion was Data using a contraction.
Also, the greatest example of subtitles conflicting with speech in a game has to be from Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness, a fantasy RPG/adventure hybrid from the early 1990's. Some townspeople are gossiping about a gnomish jester who just arrived in town. The text will say things like, "He dresses like a clown!", while the voice actor will produce blatant anachronisms like "He dresses like Sonny Bono!"

She could have made the time capsules and just not included Shepard in them. It would be hilarious if she didn't make them at all and I chose refuse, thus screwing not only the next cycle but countless other cycles until they figure out how to build a crucible from scratch.
Oh wait, we don't leave any caches of technology for them to find. They could develop a technology that doesn't rely on the mass relays. The reapers would be totally surprised.

Entry for Commander Shepard: Alliance Soldier. First human spectre. No good, lying, two-timing, backstabbing ***** who chased after anything with sad eyes. "I look really good in this leather outfit but I'm dying..." By the goddess who says that?? And she bought it... Glyph, erase that entry. No... Leave it in. Cheat on me, the *grumble grumble*... Glyph I need an immediate margarita intervention dammit. She could have made the time capsules and just not included Shepard in them.
