That's because they need Joker to tell them what to do. "Hard on my flank!" Hackett was off dreaming up some other side mission to distract the Alliance from the real task at hand, which is to stop Sovereign.

Well.... I've done all the missions.... talked to everyone.... no scene with Liara and the time capsules. Hmmm... I'm wondering if I choose "Refuse" if the next cycle is screwed. Or did is she really pissed off at me in a passive aggressive way... "No mention of Shepard in the time capsules."
Pffft. I guess that means there will be no...
"Tell me another story about The Shepard."
But I'm at the hangover scene in the apartment, and only have Cronos and the ending. I have no desire to finish.

Wow, here's one I just discovered literally 15 minutes ago. If you pick the neutral answer with Kaidan the first time he mentions his feelings towards a Femshep (which is what I did,) there is no further flirtatious conversations with him. At all. I'd gone back to the ship to talk to him after every mission, and after every few assignments. He was my VS, so I went back to talk to him after that. In the course of the game, while I did get all the rest of his usual dialogue, there was no way to trigger the romance. I really don't mind, since I wasn't planning on romancing him this time, but that was odd. I don't know if it's just a bug or what, but there you have it. Turn down Liara and probably the easiest way to get a nomance for ME1 as a femShep.
Edit: This is the conversation I picked the neutral option (bolded.) This was the only conversation, before that or since, where I picked a neutral option for him. The rest were paragon throughout the game.
Kaidan: If I’m out of line, just say the word
• Paragon – You’re not: You’re not out of line, Kaidan. But there are regs.
• Neutral – I’m interested, but not now: Now isn’t the ideal time. But I want to talk about this, Kaidan.• Renegade – You’re out of line: Sorry, Kaidan. This was just a battlefield thing.• There’s my answer, then line. [Conversation Ends]Kaidan: I get you, Shepard. I don’t make a habit of complicating the chain of command. Just think about what I said.Shepard: We’ll talk later, Kaidan.
Kaidan: I’d like that.
I haven't looked it up if this is common or not, but I never got another option to flirt with him for the rest of the game.
Liara reuses the same dialogue a few times: She has the exact same dialogue after you recruit her (if you recruit her right away) as she does when Benzia is killed, except for when you directly ask about her mother after Peak 15. All of the rest of the auto-dialogue is the same, including how she's impressed by the Doc. The second time was after the end of the Virimire mission. Her comments about needing to lay down after the mind meld, Shep recommending that she have the Doc look at her, all the same as the first time she melds with Shep. When you visit her in her cabin, she gives the exact same speech as she did that last two times, about feeling better and being impressed by the Doc.
Elissa Shepard (my current PC:) Um, Liara, are you okay? Did you...hit your head or something, because you keep repeating the same things...
Liara: "Shepard, I get the feeling you wanted to talk to me about something important."
ES: No, not really. Just marveling at the amount of reused dialogue. No wonder Tali barely says much at all during the game.

Instead of leaving the shuttle when you land in London, stay inside and kill the enemy. Once clear, leave the shutlle, Steve and Shepard have a couple lines of dialogue.

I'm discovering everything - I just started playing. So how do I discover the Presidium embassies rather than citadel and can I access the lower parts of purgatory. From where I am after talking to Aria I can see people below but not reach them. Do people become accessible only after you've found what they are looking for?
Wiki didn't help a whole deal. ![]()

You can't gain access to the lower floor in purgatory.
When in the elevator, it will tell you what is accessible to Shepard. The hospital, embassies, Presidium, docks, purgatory and dock 24 where the Normandy is docked.

Yep, ME3 really restricts the amount you can run around the Citadel, for better and for worse.

I found this out a long time ago, but I thought I would mention it since I imagine not many people have seen this.
When you have your Arena meet up with Jack, the simulator keeps the last setting you had for it. So, if you do the Unusual Scores challenge where you give the enemies all the bonuses and then meet with Jack, the Cerberus troops you fight will have all those bonuses. I didn't realize that so when I met up with Jack I got stomped in our first attempt. So I had to go back to the meet up spot and Jack's line was "Are we going to do it for real this time?"

That line would be even better if shep is romancing her, heh.

Hey Brooks.. where have your arms gone...?

Yeah Joker.. stop staring up my chuff will you?

What you looking at now, boyo?

Oh, I see...

... well make a run for it, he won't notice.

You see a flash of that soldier's leg when Joker runs for it during the cutscene. No idea why Bioware placed him there.

Wow, and I just played ME1 again 2 days ago. Which options do you pick to get him to off himself? I'm very paragon in ME1 so far, with a Paragade for ME2 and 3 (my latest Shep is a paragon, but also a Sole Survivor. I started picking more renegade options towards her enemies after Virmire, and hung up on the council for the first time. I'm new to the series.) Still, I'm curious and I might have to check that out. I need my, "Yep, Shep is an ass" playthrough after all. ![]()

If you tell Toombs to go ahead and kill the scientist, he will, then he will kill himself.

It will also happen if you don't have enough charm/intimate points to convince him otherwise.

In my last ME1 playthrough I had shep shoot the scientist. I'd never done that before, it was pretty cool.

The unit you see getting slaughtered on the video in the Normandy at the beginning of ME1 is Ashley's.
(I've known forever because I play with subtitles and the subtitles state her name... even though you don't know her yet

Like the other guy said, you have to allow him to kill the scientist. It's the renegade option, but from the right, not the one from the left that needs renegade points (and would make Shepard kill the scientist for Toombs).
