If the Council dies then Liara or Joker talk about the "new council". I can't remember what the dialogue is if you never hang up and you save them. Been too long since I have had both those conditions set to true. :)

I believe she says while they bicker over which area to protect first. I have hanged up on the council before and never saved them, but I don't recall ever hearing Joker mentioning hangin  up on them to Liara

I was aware of the fact that in ME1 you can equip your weapons and shoot up the place pretty much anywhere, even the Citadel, but I only just noticed that you can actually destroy the pink glass liquor bottles around Chora's Den (I am not aware of any other part of the environment that is similarly destructible, other than of course explosive containers and such).

As a result, you can do this...

Shepard: "I'm outta here."

Harkin: "Yeah, good. Go. Let me drink in peace..."

Shepard: *destroys Harkin's drink with shotgun*

:D

Awesome.

Too bad I'm already past that part in this game. Damn.

In the ME2 Prologue, when Miranda instructs you to pick up and fire the Grenade Launcher,  you still can switch back to your pistol and kill the mechs normally... When the third one falls, IIRC, it explodes and the scene goes on normally.

PS: It works with powers too

My girl-friend didn't like that too. She hated Harkin.

For those who have played DAO, when looking at the "moon" while in the party camp, it actually is the planet Klendagon that is seen in ME1 and ME2. I looked a few minutes ago and sure enough it is Klendagon

Thanks to Jo Berry, a Bioware writer in Montreal, from her post in the twitter thread.

Shep: Joker, put in the coordinates for Thedas. I'm sure The Warden won't mind if we nuke the Archdemon from orbit

"I heard about what Cerberus did during the coup.  That's not the organization I signed up with."

- Kelly Chambers, before Priority: Tuchanka.  Does scale itch give humans psychic powers?

:o Jeez, maybe I should actually listen to what Kelly says once in a while.

In ME2, in the beggining of Kasumi's Loyalty mission, the Eclipse Merc Scan Saren's statue and then Donovan Hock goes out to see what the fuss is about, yes?

So, if you play as Allison Gunn (FemShep) Donovan Hock says: "You can pass. You were invited after all."

And if you play as a Mr.Gunn (MaleShep), he says: You can pass, Mr.Gunn. With my apologies."

Wait, I'm a bit confused. Do you mean you get unique dialogue if you name your Shepard the same alias they're disguised as (Mr.Gunn Shepard) or are you just pointing out that he has a different line for both genders?

Speaking of Kasumi's loyalty mission I recently noticed that the first image she sees when shes reliving memories in the gray box is a picture of a reaper. It goes by so quickly and I was always so focused on the dialogue that I never noticed it before.

When completing Character's Loyalty Missions, in Mass Effect 2, and ask their thoughts about the mission, they'll have different responses.

For example Jack... Not loyal, she'll say: I don't care. I'm out to survive it then cut loose.

And a loyal Jack will say: I owe you, Shepard. If you think it's important, then it's too me too (Well, not like that, but you got the idea)

Asking Miranda about the Ship Status after the Crew is abducted by the Collectors, she'll say that EDI is replacing everyone and it's performing quite well.

Asking Grunt about the Collectors after finishing Collector Ship, he'll say: You already know more than he [Okeer] knows.

Different lines for different genders :)

See, if Shepard is Male, he apologizes, and if Shepard is female, he says that FemShep may pass, after all, she was invited (Hock doesn't apologizes to the female Shepard)

Two minor things i just discovered in Mass Effect 3.

First up, Diana Allers teasing a story about Kai Leng:

I have never had this dialogue before. I have no idea what I did or did not do to get it to appear.

Second, do you know that dialogue after The Shroud where Anderson says something like (when talking about the men and women fighting with him) "When they heard that you allied the Turians and the Krogan, that was a real shot in the arm."? Well, if you wait to have that conversation until after you broker peace between the Geth and Quarians, the dialogue changes to: "When they heard that you ended the geth conflict, on top of allying the turians and krogan... That was a shot in the arm, Shepard."

*snip*

Damn, out of likes  . I wasted them all on this thread today...

OT: Taking Zaeed with you in Archangel's Recruitment Mission, in the basement part, he will say to get the Sutters "OPEN" instead of "CLOSED"

A designer on Mass Effect has stated that "When written, [Yaroslev] Tartakovsky was supposed to be sitting on the floor with one leg torn off, kept alive by a tourniquet. A year later, we were told that wasn't technically possible." (Sorry, can't find the link... It was shut down)

In Mass Effect 2, Wreav has a red head and in 3, he has a Brown one

(Mass Effect 3) In N7: Cerberus Lab, there are datapads written by a C.Talavi... Back on the Citadel you can hear an Alliance Soldier (Pvt.Talavi) not wanting to fight Cerberus because she had a "litte brother who sent pictures of his new armor. White and yellow, ma'am."

This tweet: https://twitter.com/...526349076955136 (Thx Patrick Weekes :) )

In an interview a while Back, I also came across this: "Preston Watamaniuk felt that Tali had to die, no matter what, if the player sided with the geth, something that he found personally difficult having to convince the rest of the development team"

After applying medi-gel to Wilson's leg and proceeding, Jacob's trigger a conversation(which causes everyone to holster their weapons); Wilson is then seen in the same walking animation as Joker

In the Prologue, if you decide not to Explode the Crates instantly after told to, using Wilson's overload, Jacob will say "These mechs don't know when to quit!"

The thing with Allers, when you first talk to her on the Normandy you can opt to tell her either to (something like) 'get support' or 'focus on cerberus' ... I believe the Kai Leng story comes from telling her to focus on Cerberus... but I could be wrong.

Here's something I just discovered. In ME1 after Benezia delivers the news about Shepard activating the beacon, the cybernetics on Saren begin glowing as Sovereign's interior starts flashing red before he does his tantrum and his voice afterwards has bits of Sovereign's voice laid in. It's a subtle little difference but I think it has a strong impact on the scene.

If you select Tali, Miranda will point out how everyone died the last two times she was in charge of anything (ouch!).

Funny, technically, not EVERYONE died on either of those missions. Hell, if I'm remembering right, most of the squad on Freedom's Progress was saved, if terribly injured.

According to Mark Meer, he recorded many variations for Shepard's reaction to Cortez's death, depending on how much the player interacts with him. However, the game only used the "STEEVE!" recording, which was meant to be only heard if Cortez actually died and Shepard romanced him (Source: https://www.youtube....xcCaw-23LE#t=96)

The flying platform Saren's use was designed to be Geth Usable, but then they made it exclusive to him, controliing it with his cybernetic Implants

The deadpan "You okay?" right after ManShep so passionately screams "STEEEEVE" makes the scene all that more hilarious.

When you first see the conduit, get out of the Mako and walk forward to trigger the cutscene. After gaining control of Shepard he/she will not be able to get back in the Mako to get to the conduit which leads to a mission failure screen. I made a save before doing this just to see what happens.
