I haven't done that. Do you know if that affectes war assets at all? If not, I will do that otherwise I won't since I'm doing a playthrough to get as many assets as possible

OK, I just did Tuchanka: Bomb and the Blackwatch is 75 points, the same as if I had saved that one escape pod. So, apparently, the only effect of letting the escape pods get destroyed is a change in dialogue.

Thanks. I'll be getting to that mission sometime tomorrow

I just found out that in a non-import game you still can find 4 models scattered about the Normandy: the SR-1, the Destiny Ascension, a Turian ship; and one other, though I forget which one. No space-hamster, though.

The music used when looking at the artifacs in the Thessia temple is the same as that used during the investigation element in Dr Bryson's Lab.

The theme from the Overlord DLC also plays when you find Ann Bryson crying in her father's room.

In Lair of The Shadow Broker DLC, if you have the Sole Survivor Background, Vasir(After the confrontation with her) instead of saying "Look what Cerberus done: Kidnapping Biotic Children for Torture Camps, Killing Alliance Admirals who ask questions", will say "Kidnapping Biotic Chldren for Torture Camps, Hell, even your unit on Akuze!"

And if you Romanced Liara and romanced anyone else in ME2, Paragon Interrupt, then selecting the Option "About us" afer Liara say what you want to talk about, she'll comment in your Romance with the other squadmate. (For Example, I romanced Garrus in this playthrough and after Shep says "I came back", Liara will reply "And Garrus is now doing more than just Calibrating the Normandy's Gun!)

If the broker dlc was completed in ME2 and Javik and James are taken to Sur'Kesh, James will say "what the he** is that?" in reference to seeing the Yahg. Shepard will reply by saying "Ask Liara that sometime".

A few minutes later, Shepard will say "There goes the next Shadow Broker". Vega will reply by saying, "Now that's one mission I wish I could've seen".

I am realizing that I haven't taken James on enough missions, at least in recent playthroughs. For instance, last night I did Tuchanka Bomb and brought James and Liara along. At the end of the mission James commented that at least Victus went out in a blaze of glory, to which Shepard replied "are we still talking about the Pirmarch's son?" I thought that was a nice call back to the sparring match.

I always thought that the Shadow Broker's Guards were humans (The ones with the helmet, at least...) But, melee them or catch them saying something and you'll notice Batarian Voices.

Edit: I meant the Male ones... The Female(Heavies) are clearly Human.

Kill Tali and bring James and Javik to Rannoch.

Crazy conversations about Geth wearing rocketlaunchers nukes for jetpacks or something like that :P

I've had that dialogue before

If Tali is not in ME3, I like taking Liara and James on the dreadnought mission.  I like their dialogue about slavery vs death

Not necessarily. They may be Asari.

Ha, yeah. The Heavies, I meant. That also wore Helmet.

Also, they're called Shadow Broker Vanguards :P ;)

The Vanguards don't wear helmets and have barriers instead of shields. Those are clearly Asari. It is quite possible the Heavies are Asari as well. The Heavies as well as the troopers on Samara's mission are all Asari. (Although, interestingly, the Heavies have shields while the Troopers have barriers.)

What's the difference between barrier and shield lore-wise?

Barriers are related to biotics, and it is assumed that all Asari have biotics.

Added: in looking over my Samara recruitment vid, I see that the "troopers" are called "Sisterhood Initiates" So they are clearly a different enemy as far as the game is concerned than say a Blue Suns trooper who would get shields instead.

Likewise, the mechs on Lazarus Station are "Hacked Mech"s rather than Loki Mechs. "Hacked Mech"s don't have armor while Loki Mechs do.

But shields are generated via suits. If barriers are created by the users themselves, why don't they also use shields for double protection?

Maybe their suits substitute biotic amps for shield capacitors.

It's a bit weird, we know that generating barrier requires effort and it can work alongside shields (ME1 Barrier power). No idea why they made it this way. Barriers make sense for Collectors or Banshees but Eclipse? Especially considering they have units with shields...

Biotics are arrogant and consider shields beneath them?

In Liara's office, there are two terminals in front of all the monitors. Both screens show the same thing, 4 images of the broker ship and the 2nd one from the left, on both screens, rotates all the time. I don't know if the broker dlc has to be completed in ME2 for this to be seen. My current playthrough, I did do the broker dlc.

There are 4 missiles where James keeps his weights stored that look exactly like the missiles used to take down the reaper in London, except a lot smaller in size.

If you have space hamster, Shepard is able to activate him/her through the wall while in the bathroom and hear the hamster squeak

The same images show up in a non-import game. So, no, you don't need to do the mission or even own the DLC.

This is a question I've asked many times.  Logic dictates that they should do exactly that.

My headcannon version Barrier/Shield:

Barriers and Shields are the same thing, using the general name Kinetic Barrier. Biotics don't really create a barrier directly. They can use their biotics / amps to enhance the KB provided by their gear. Normal people use tech to improve the KB.

In ME1 Barrier and Shield Boost, or even Immunity do all the same thing (more or less): Makes the Kinetic Barrier stronger, last longer, regenerate faster. Which is pretty much the basic functionality of the Barrier / Tech Armor stuff in ME2 & 3.

I have never seen Bioware make an official explanation on how KB actually work, and I'll just go with this until they do ;)

Yup. But I think it may be because of Balance Reasons... Shepard fighting Armored Mechs with just a M3-Predator Pistol?? And in most times, alone by her/himself? Lol

It's actually quite viable :)

Also, when you hack a mech yourself, it gets a shield. Does anyone remember, do mechs in Overlord DLC have armor?
