Semi-Confirmed rumor:
Next Companion is a Human female Rogue Warden.
You heard it here first.

If all the NPCs are already supposed to be powerful and accomplished, is this going to be another case where, for instance, a First Enchanter is only level 10 or so?
It could be justified if they all start on low levels. Maybe it's not a matter of skill, but rather about how accomplished X is compared to someone else in the party.
If everyone starts off as powerful, well, they're all on the same level. And you can call that level 1.

Vivienne, for example, would theoretically have already mastered a school of magic. Just cause we only knows one spell at level one, doesnt imply she doesn't know the ones at 30. It just means the gameplay mechanic keeps you from casting it to give a sense of progression.
This applies to how gameplay functions in DA at least. In games with body morphs lie Fable, it becomes less distinct.

Inquisition isn't about the Mage/Templar conflict.
but isn't it part of it?

Just since it seems that a lot of people are having problems with this, I would just like to point out what I've gained from reading everything so far, PAX posts plus what was already known:
There will be a 3/3/3 split among classes (given what Ashe has posted from the PAX panel), and given who we know already, we know 2/2/2 of them: Cass, IB -War; Verr, Sera - Rog; Viv, Solas -Mage. We know nothing about the other 3 yet. And yes, IB is a warrior, given his build and weapon (#TwoHander), he's a warrior. That means we will be getting another of each class. Cullen is likely to be a major NPC given that we have already seen both screen shots and video of the Bearded Warden in the party. And given what they have stated about the quality of the characters for our companions in this game, that more than likely means Cole is out as a companion as well. He makes an outstanding NPC for a major secondary mission, but given his mental state and rather questionable physical make-up he would not make for a good companion. That means that we have one maybe companion and 2 unknowns so far. All we know for sure about those 2 is that one of them will be a returning character from Asunder based on what DG has said. Given the main cast for asunder, that doesn't leave many left to chose from.
And honestly, I am quite happy not knowing the last 3 for sure until release, as I would like some surprises ![]()

It's just the backdrop for the introduction. The Inquisition's goal is to seal the tears in the veil, not end the Mage/Templar war.

I am a bit disappointed. I don't care for Cullen. If he's just a major NPC romance I can deal with it. I just hope he isn't a required companion. *dramatic sigh* His character felt flat and whiny to me. Just my opinion.
They're feeding the fires with this romance shtuff. Give us a blasted release date! Fall 2014 and we're already to the middle of April. Historically, when have they announced release dates? History side of BSN?
Cassandra continues to intrigue me. I think she is going to be a really fantastic character.
Varric romanceable! Perish the thought, Bianca would impale us all! But hey, fingers through the chest hair...
Did anyone take pictures from the costume parade? I've not seen a one...

From ladyInsanity's blog
"We are aware that there are a number of loose threads where player characters are involved". As far as the Warden and Hawke are concerned in Inquisition, there is a "solid possibility," Mike Laidlaw says ever so mysteriously.
I just had an Epiphany, what are the chance we can choose to play Hawke or the Warden as the Inquisitor? Not likely, but not out of the question.

Yeah, it's out of the question. Too many variables, too little payoff.

Pretty sure it's going to be one of our Secondary goals, like helping The Dwarves pick a new king in DA:O

Well, Bianca is dead and Cassandra is a LI for the Inquisitor so I don't think things are going to work out to your liking...

We don't know that for sure. Mary Kirby has alluded to Bianca's story maybe not being over yet.
