Just one character from Asunder?
 

That's kinda sad. I wanted to meet both Evangeline and Rhys and maybe get a chance to slap Adrian.

 

Oh well, my money's on Cole.

I don't see why this is highly doubtful.  Cassandra is a major character, companion, and LI and Dawn of the Seeker is a big part of her backstory right now.  They could mean that there will be some references (either by Cass herself or NPCs) to the events of the movie as part of her character's development in the game.

Maybe they meant one character from Asunder will return as a follower, if that is the case then it is most likely Cole. Fiona, Adrian and Rhys are the Mage leadership and Evangeline wouldn't leave Rhys's side.

Everything is sounding great. My only less than positive reaction comes from two things: a more robust experience, if you have read/watched outside-game material, and stealth.

The first is simply based on my choice to have not watched or read any of the books/comics/movies. Last comic I bought was a copy of Richie Rich, in 1976. I don't watch anime, and I have a slew of books I still need to read (already purchased or borrowed). Completely my choice to have not extended into the extra media, but still. The statement gave me cause for pause.

The second hiccup, again is strictly based on my own experiences. I am terrible at stealth. It also makes me jumpy as hell. LOL! I never succeeded in using stealth in MotA, and yes I tried in earnest (spent nearly two hours on it). Thankfully, in the case of that piece of DLC, I can have "Swords for everyone!"

The stealth in DAO, I did use, but to me it wasn't exactly what I would call "stealth play". It also didn't force me to start a section over, because I was "spotted". Now, I suspect that the stealth they are implementing won't be of the 'you have been spotted, get your arse back to the beginning of the sequence'........at least I'm crossing my fingers that isn't the case.

As for everything else; thumbsup! Really looking forward to it.

I doubt they'd force us to be stealthy, i think they just announced the option for stealthy gameplay

It was more of a remark on the movie's quality. One would probably be better served by just reading the important bits in a plot summary.

If there is content in the game referencing her family and that type of information, or even of stuff with that cute mage guy, that might not be in a plot summary. As you say, the plot summary has only the "important bits", not detailed character information.

 

To give an example, The Stolen Throne provides a much different perspective on Loghain which can influence how you view him during DAO, especially the chapters told from his perspective. A plot summary of that novel would likely contain none of that.

Well, the synopsis on the wiki (at least on her character page) is actually more robust than I thought it would be.

 

And really, if she states in-game that "blood mages killed my brother with farming tools", I don't think people who haven't seen the film are going to be at a disadvantage when it comes to information about her family.

That tweet has nothing to do with the PAX panel videos. It's about BioWare conventions attendance schedule for 2014. In other word, what conventions they are going to show up to in 2014 so fans can go meet them.

I think Adrian could be the asunder character for inquisition, unless I've missed a third Mage announcement. I like both characters either way.... We'll actually I hate Adrian but she's a good character.

I heard originally that one of the Asunder characters was going to be a companion but it's been sounding more like they'll just be around somewhere like how someone from Masked Empire is supposed to show up in the Highlands I think it was. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hm, not really sure they'd be mentioning it this much if it was a random cameo or whatever. 

 

I think a companion who comes from Asunder is more likely than not. 

 

(And we do need a third rogue)
