Loghain is in DAI.
Not at all. This traitor was killed in Landsmeet in all my playthrus. Save one where he died killing the Archdemon (I needed to get the achievement).
YMMV, of course.

As someone who was present during DAO and DA2 respectively, there's a lot of possibilities to offer on the table, not solely having him representing a Templar's point of view to the story. Considering the events that occurred during the DA2, wherein Cullen maintains that the Templar Order's purpose is not only to protect the population from magic but also to protect the mages that the templars are sworn to oversee, serves as a great mechanic for a Templar that has a more 'neutral' viewpoint on the Mage / Templar situation without having a biased person who turns the whole event into a dichotomy.
So is cass and cullen's confirmation as LI is the only news for DA:I?

Alistair is dead. Where is my Loghain damn it?
This person is asking the right questions!
Loghain is in Orlais, the Grey Wardens are in Orlais and we're going to be in Orlais. It would make sense to have him return if we let him live.
Any news from the Q&A?

That's your opinion. A lot of people would disagree with you, also you can complain about Cullen all you want but they already confirmed it so its kinda pointless
Cassandra represents the Chantry while Cullen represents the Templars, you might as well say Solas is redundant because we already have a mage with Vivienne even though one is an apostate and the other is a circle mage.
No, they confirmed he's a LI, not a companion. That remains to be seen.
...Seekers and Templars both represent the Chantry but the Templars represent the Chantry much more than the Seekers since Lambert broke the Seekers away from the Chantry.
I'm not really disagreeing with you, but the Templars separated themselves from the Chantry as well. Cullen could still be devote, in which case Cassandra would represent the Seekers and Cullen would represent the Chantry and Templars or just the Templars?
I mean, I don't really care that he is back since I am not really a fan and am a little tired of the blond, white, male LI, but I can see why they decided to bring him back. Vaguely.

I would also like to point out that Cassandra remained loyal to the Divine despite that, With Cullen it's less clear but in general he was much more hardline.
Also arguing about him being a Companion or not feels a bit silly at this point, His VA said he was both a LI and a Companion, we know he's a LI and it stands to reason the VA couldn't get away with outright lying.
Alright, so then we might have the "Dorian" character after all.
Oh dear, I can see the companion thread spark up with this quote: Your nine companions, classes evenly distributed across mage/warrior/rogue
The romance stuff is weirdly written though. :/
The even distribution thing stuck out to me. That makes me think Cullen might be an NPC romance.
Hope everyone is having fun at #PAXEast! For Dragon Age, we're back at the studios doing this with @BioMarkDarrah

Okay yeah admittedly the moment I saw that I started to wonder, though maybe the Grey Warden is a Rogue.

Same here. I believe there's a popular theory on the forums that he could be an "advisor" and/or the Inquisition's "General" as the head of the military arm of the organisation, which I think is a neat idea. That would mean a lot of interaction (I'd imagine) in a role that fits his character without him "taking up" a space in the party.
IB is an arcane warrior. there, fixed!
Maybe the video footage of the Warden was just a placeholder and he is the advisor, not Cullen...
Oh, I just made myself sad ![]()

He said Companionship, not companion
Hey everyone it's Ashe. Sitting in base right now waiting for next panel. I realize that some of my writing is a bit weirdly written, and I will tldr it for ya'll tonight. If there's anything you want clarified, please type it here and I'll state it plainly.
But yea, no confirmation whether or not Cullen is a companion. Just that we can get our hands on him
Long shot, but is there any information on what genders can romance Cassandra and Cullen? ![]()

I would rather they had said whether Cullen was an NPC or companion, rather than confirming romance. *sigh*
Thanks for all the great info though, it's really appreciated! ![]()
