I liked it better when they were just out of the way and didn't give a ****. Now there's as much CJ'ing outside the group as in it (see also: this thread)

Hmm. I can maybe try tomorrow, kind of in the middle of something at the moment though.
Co-op game. etc etc
The old group was awesome. F the community.. it wasn't about the community. The group was founded for the sole purpose of playing games without pugs.. aka the community. IMO the group was at its best when Cold & Biggs ran it.. the challenges were kept in house, and much more demanding. When it became all about solos and duos is when I checked out.. this is a social game IMO.. if I wanted to play solo or with one other person, I'd play Dark Souls.
The obsession with Thunderdumb also helped ruin the group.
Premium Spectre here!
Play less and less though..... last night was a prime example. Load the game, join GIP, lo and behold it is wave 9. I leave, wait a minute, start a new quick match, land in same game on wave 10. A guy said, "don't leave dude, easy 30K!" I looked at my long-been-maxed manifest and left again.
Started new quick match; wave 9 of another game. I seriously thought they fixed this...
Next three quick starts have me join the same GIMP connection that has me rubberbanding the moment I move an inch.
...
Finally, I get into an actual lobby, of course it is preset to Geth. After three easy and fast games, I was still playing Geth and the host was content, so I called it a night.
That's a lot of work for 3 games. Please Bioware, consider adding an option to the Quick Match search to exclude/include Games In Progress.

Good (th)read, although needs more passive-aggressive drama butthurt.
They were transforming into a spiritual form. Now their collective body is the game itself!
Hahaha Mega pls. The moment spectre X was created is exactly the moment spectre was no more spectre
/puts the flameshield on, and the popcorns behind...
show me evidence of epeen stroking within the group today.
if you can't, then it's you being blatantly ignorant with your misguided perception.
I must admit I'm confused about what the new spectre group represents?
Is it meant to represent the best players? Do they only play matches against each other? There seems to be challenges set which seem terrihard to complete. Is there a hierarchy? What are their goals?
I'm so confused ![]()

It's a group of pretty good players that like to hang together and do challenges, pretty much.
You mean.. when there was 6 PC players in the group? Including Stardusk..
Durrburr pls..
Yes, exactly. And they were 12 at least. And no, Stardusk was not in the group at first... It only got in after trashing them so much on the forum that Sy7ar couldn't take it anymore ![]()
1v1 me in Goat Simulator
Is that actually real?! I saw it pop up on Steam and assumed it was an April Fools they'd forgotten to clear away O_o
Why not kick them out if it is making the group look bad? I guess I come from a different breed where I try not to be a jerk to others, but instead help them out if I am better at something. I didn't need the whole "Oh look at me, I am a SPECTRE and therefore amazing, you should worship us" attitude that a lot of the group seemed to have.
As a leader you have to make tough decisions and he made his. That led me to mine and I am fine with it, but that old Spectre group had so much potential to do something good for the community and didn't. I much prefer the new way Max runs them.

People are going nuts over it... ![]()
Within the group members behavior on the forums... Yes there's plenty of "accepted" epeen stroking that goes around. It's just not as blatant

That actually sounds relatively dull. So why all the drama?
I'd just like to put out as a whole bsn was a lot dumber and more immature in those days as a whole. Players like ashen, cold, Biggs, etc had opinions which sometimes came across as abrasive at times but they were not wrong. There were more idiots to argue with in those days. More misconceptions about how stuff works
A lot has changed all the way around.
That actually sounds relatively dull. So why all the drama?
Dude, ME3MP is srs bsns.

It's a way to play together and find teammates that are not going to suck, and do the same kinds of fun matches together. Why dull?
About the drama, it's just a leftover from when spectre was something else... Just as the name. Things change, but some people fail to realize it and cling to apparences.
True but that's just a few posters. Back then it seemed like you had to argue your point a little harder then back it up with video evidence and then still argue more about before someone would understand. The Luckystarrs and Engin33rs of BSN still exist..
But yeah, that's a valid point.

Now wait. Let me break a lance for these two guys.
They are not idiots. They're newbies. We've all been newbies, man. The important thing is to ask humbly, and listen when you're given advice, although you still keep your right to choose any way you want.
Now, those two you mentioned actually do listen to advice and do ask humbly. So they're all right in my book.
Things used to be much worse before, with noobs coming all over the place, asking silly questions pretending to know better than the whole BSN, and then getting all butthurt when everyone told them to l2p.
Luckily, as NT pointed out, I haven't seen it happen regularly in some time.

Especially if it involved "reload cancelling" and GallowsPole :|
