Do spectres still play regularly?

Are you serious? After that Geth Engi thread? ..and dude arguing about the AIU being better than the GI with shotguns until he was blue in the face? Are we reading the same threads? The best part was the "I only play Gold with the Reegar AIU" I got a good laugh out of that one.. especially when he tried to act like a total know-it-all, telling veterans they were wrong, etc. I didn't see a whole lot of humble..

It's a way to play together and find teammates that are not going to suck, and do the same kinds of fun matches together. Why dull?
I think it was the BSN drama thing, making me think you were doing something different/edgy in comparison to everyone else. Not really sure dull is the right word, but I can't think of a better one. Over time I have accumulated friends in this game and I know enough good players to be about to do challenges such as all volus/all engineer teams on platinum. Sort of surprised, I am already doing the same sort of thing.
Do you guys still try to do the extreme stuff? e.g. all volus team with only uncommon weapons and no amps?

As far as I know, the latest spectre challenges have been public, so... You know as much as I do. I'm also not the most active member, so... ![]()
Challenges aren't usually extreme, they're a just bit harsh and with people competing for the fastest time you can be sure there's always something to improve ![]()

I agree with Deerber, those two guys are newbies, not stupid. They ask humbly and are open to advice, so they are all right for me too. The fact that they are new doesn't suppress their right to argue for their builds or to contradict some veterans if they keep it in a friendly form. We have to keep in mind that their comprehension of the game is limited by the time they have played it.
It was two years from now, but I am pretty sure I had also some silly ideas about the game when I started to play ME3 MP, and that I was not the only one...

Me too. What is it anyways..? Aawarded by bioware or is it a bsn community thing? On a related note, I have come across many good players who don't even know a ME MP community exists.
It's nothing to do with Bioware. Max Dmian started them to fill the void left by weekend challenges ending. He sets a group of challenges (based on suggestions from Spectres, or his own ideas) that everyone on BSN can attempt to complete- either for a fast time or just for the sake of doing them. The first Spectre challenge was called Lodestar after the last weekend challenge, but wasn't the same thing. Originally, there had to be at least one Spectre in each game, but that's no longer a requirement, meaning it's more a community challenge than a Spectre challenge (which is a good thing, IMO).
They usually appear in threads titled OPERATION (something something) so look out out for them when the next one comes along. They're a lot of fun, and really help breath a bit of life into an aging game.
Good (th)read, although needs more passive-aggressive drama butthurt.
UR just jelly. 1v1 me scrub, BlunderDometm now!

The old group was awesome...The group was founded for the sole purpose of playing games without pugs.
lol

Why not kick them out? Because they're bros that's why. If someone said to you, "Hey Slim, I don't like that HeroicMass guy. I think his laugh is annoying and hate his sickly positive attitude. If you don't remove him from our group, I'm out." What would you do?
I don't mind helping folks out.. I feel I have a long standing track record to support that too. But I called it what it is.. charity work. That's what Lodestar was.. charity work. Me and 1 friend carrying silver scrubs through all 4 plat factions so they could get their ultra rare. Did it boost my epeen? Of course it did.. the difference between now and then is that I can admit it, where the Argents of the world can't. Did I get the 'worship' treatment.. yeah I did.. and it really just made me feel uncomfortable more than anythiI sou
I would kick me out for that reason ![]()
In all honesty, there has been a vast change in spectre over its time of existence. Some for the better and some for the worse. My heart will always belong to the fellowship side of Arelex, but I am happy to have been a part of the group overall.

Yeah it sorta is.
Crim, you have always expressed this sentiment, so at least I give you points for consistency. But that makes it all the more puzzling that you bothered to start this thread in the first place, unless it's just ANOTHER attempt to stir up crap around here, in which case I encourage to continue your "break" from the mulitplayer forum.
FWIW, I appreciate Argent's take on it.

I dunno. I don't think it's possible for a group like that to exist without a level of e-peen stroking, and the butthurt that will eventually follow.
I did get tired of people throwing the group membership in my face every time I got in an argument with them on the forums, as well as the behaviour of certain members who took being a part of the group waaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously.

Coming to America - I decided to watch it again after Crimson mentioned it in a thread last night. God, what a classic!

This isn't the Off Topic forums, uh... Fuck! This thread is off topic, so I guess it counts.

So.. you expect me to sort through hundreds of BSN threads, just to prove something to you. Lolno..
The proof is in the "Hey BSN! Come duo with a Spectre!" concept. It just screams, 'Come watch us ROFLstomp all the things and triple your score so you can feel humble. If you want to sit in spectator mode, that's fine too! I got this bc I'm a super awesome Spector!"
It's weird because I never feel horrible for being outscored. Apparently that's only a problem that a few of you have.

Right, some people even went so far as to create alt accounts to praise themselves. I don't comprehend that mindset.
Next, you've got people in private "meetings" deciding how to behave toward the community. Makes me cringe at my age, tbh. Guessing some of the spectres are still in high school though, that's excusable.
Whether Biggs, Max or smoothcriminal was leader during the time I was in the group and the one thing I liked about it was the challenges. Other than that the group didn't seem like it changed much at all to me, max integrated the community because he wanted to get more people involved and challenge participation increases.
I understand some people avoided most of the specter challenges because they prefer to talk about how awesome they are at this game with "weird" builds but not actually prove it.
Most of the fun I had playing this game had nothing to do with specter though. And most of the entertaining stuff on the forums was not created by the specter group(with the exception of a few disciple threads and the flamer thread). TommyNGs, cassandra saturns and lakooks were the real draw of bsn. IMO
