Hi everyone.

 

Now I've heard that I can only romance one of the two. I've also heard that I can romance one before the end of the game, then one after completing it. Which one is true? I'm definitely going to romance Tali but so far I've got things set with Miranda. If I can do Miranda first, then do Tali after the game that would be great. If not then I have to break it off with Miranda and go to Tali. But which is true?

Note: I understand some may prefer Miranda over Tali but this is just my personal preference. I like Miranda but Tali's my first choice.

Before the SM you can pick one LI to romance and you will have your romance scene when you go through the Omega 4 relay. After the SM you can break up with your previous LI and then pursue another. In fact, you can romance Miranda, Tali and Jack, one after the other, should you so desire, I had one playthrough where I romanced Jack, then romanced Tali. With two hard saves I could first import the Jack romance version, then play another game and import the Tali romance version without having to replay ME2.

Well, with Jack I went and talked to her after the SM and there was a dialogue option to tell her to take a hike. I understand that you new LI will ask you to break up with your previous LI if you approach them about a romance. Haven't done it myself, but that's my understanding.

So I'll be to talk to Tali after the SM and get to romance her after breaking up with Miranda? I just go and talk to her?

I don't know all the mechanics. For myself, I put off talking to Tali after her trial until I had consummated the Jack romance. But even if you have talked to Tali already and expressed some interest, I believe the door is still open to initiating a romance with her provided you break up with Miri.

Yes you just go talk to whoever again.  Usually it is the same dialogue as the lock in, just choose the not interested option.

I'm choosing only between Tali and Miranda.

I enjoyed the Tali'Zorah romance but not Jack,  personally I find her self-obsessed and annoying, a lot like me. They should not be like me.
