Serially, i had looked at this players profile about 6-8 weeks ago .. and his N7 wasn't that absurd then ... it was still absurd, but still in the range of some others .. but not now

The simple answer is that he used a hacked PS3 and it is old news. When he skyrocketed both his CP and N7 a lot of people I played with noticed this and also wondered how is was done. To my surprise, everyone universally condoned the behavior; it seems nobody likes leaderboard cheating.
He posted on here after the weekend he spent hacking to get the points, having previously posted missile glitch videos (I believe, but haven't seen). He claims he did it just to get banned. I don't really understand that mentality myself, but I'd be quite happy to not see his name there anymore, as it makes an unpleasant farce of what should just be a bit of fun.

As you guessed that claim is BS. Cato ages ago spotted his cheating and it looks like he originally did not to get banned but to get almost instant maxed manifest on PS3. Then recently suddenly he decides to skyrocket both this CP and N7, why bother? If it was to look like a plausible number 1 he failed at that.

N7 ranking means nothing...a few days ago i dropped into a lobby and one guy tried to kick me because of my 120 N7 ranking...ended up coming in 2nd and while the group was solid, the point is that just because you have a high N7 number, it doesn't necessarily represent skill. I have nothing against folks that do promote, but i have met folks online that are puzzled as to why i don't promote.
As far as this guy goes? I didn't click on the link, but i'm assuming the guy hacked his way to that N7 number. I would have a bit more respect for him if he did it the natural way, because promoting is a serious grind, but some folks just don't want to put the time in....*shrugs*...in other news,..i cannot believe my man "the ultimate warrior" died.... 
..i loved that guy...he didn't have any true wrestling moves, but he gave some of thee most incredible,hilarious and epic promos and interviews...
