Thoughts on the running with pizza "hack" on xbox?

I actually didn't know it was possible on xbox until I tried it recently--and it definitely works, and works pretty well. I admit I went through a mix of emotions right then--from childlike glee to muted joy and happiness to general sense of well-being to cautious optimism to slight unease and finally to full-on bowel discomfort.

Just want to get a sense what players here think about it on console since it's generally not done as much as it is on PC (as far as I've seen anyway).

Edit: Just did a little searching on the old site and it's been confirmed by EA that it falls under the same category as reload canceling, ie, a clever use of game mechanics.

1) Not even close to a hack, so yeah...

2) Most Xbox players here have known about it for a while, but it doesn't really help too much because...

3) It is more like those old people speed walking in the mall. It might go a little quicker, but those young whipper-snappers on the PC can really move with it.

I don't care either way if people do it on Xbox, I typically only will do it with the Asari slide or rarely with a non-dodge kit since it is a bit more reliable. I really don't feel it is worth doing most of the time at all.

I do not know what this is, but to my virgin ears it sounds like cheating. I expect that if someone were doing it in a game I was trying to enjoy, I would not be happy.

As long as you're not modding the objectives to give you pizza x 3 along with it, it's not that big a deal.

It's not a hack. And I really don't see why it would bother anyone.

Yeah definitely not as fast as on PC, but it's still much quicker than backward walking by my reckoning.

Only if you run into stuff walking backwards. It really isn't that much different since you will likely drop it and not manage to pick it up right away at times while running it, so you have to turn back around and go get it.

I confess, I get annoyed when I'm side-rolling my way to the target with the pizza, and someone comes along and grabs it mid-roll, and then... slowly... meanders... towards... the... target... while... I... wave... my... hands... yelling, "Did you not see how much faster than you that was going before you grabbed it!?" :o

I guess it depends on the characters I guess. Typically the ones with no dodge work better, and they are pretty slow walkers in general (krogans, turians, etc.).

It doesn't bother me.. except for that loud, obnoxious racket that goes along with it. I could never understand why putting on a large backpack makes such a sound.

I'm surprised the PC guys don't hax it where Winfiltrators can cloak with it on, and Vanguards can charge with it on.

I wish I could do it with anyone other tha Asari.  Also at least half of the people saying it's cheating are kidding, just so you know.

Can be done.

Will make video of magical teleporting volus pizza delivery vanguard if you ask nicely.

Also, have you seen the volus with the drell melee attacks yet? Kung Fu volus brings all the flexibility and model clipping to the yard.

I want to see this.

How about GI with Drell dodges? That would be amusing.

The models are all the same skeleton, just different sizes, so entirely possible.

I sympathize 100%, but I suspect that the simple answer to your question would be 'no', because for anyone who has never watched a YouTube video or been here (ie the vast majority of the pug playerbase), they quite naturally assume that you haven't got a clue what you're doing and they think they'd better jump in and help you out, you stoopid noob - don't you know you drop the thing if you try to run with it? How many games have you played? Jeezzzzzz!  The only thing they're aware of is the sound of you dropping the thing, as they're very probably not looking at you at all, as there MIGHT BE A BANSHEE ON THE FIELD!!!!

This is not in any way intended as a criticism, more of an attempt to help you be less annoyed when someone gets in the way.

I can't be bothered trying to be honest, partly for the reason I've given and partly because i hate the sound and partly because I'd probably mess it up.  I do headbutt every step as a Krogan though.  Even when I'm carrying the pizza  ;)

This is good news. Even though the hop is better best, I'm still somewhat disappointed that my robot space ninja doesn't do cartwheels.
