I was looking at the wiki for the Inquisitor and it said we can choose between two voice sets(this of course I heard from the OXM Magazine), one British and one American(this caught my eye). Now if this is true, as much as I love the British voice actor, I find a great amount of glee in choosing an American voice for my Inquisitor. Now does anybody now if this information has been confirmed or is it all just misinterpreted rumors?
Will we really have the choice bewteewn an American/British accent?

"British" is kinda broad...
Has anything more "specific" been said?

All I heard was British, so maybe that could mean cockney or something else.

It was Mike Laidlaw who confirmed the British and American voice.

I believe the recent trailer with the voiceover is supposed to be one of the optional voices (for the male Inquisitor).
Could I get a link? I missed this.

I'm pretty sure Mike mentioned that the narrator in this vid is the Inquisitor.

Dwarves hardly sound like they have a Native American accent, which hardly sounds like American Standard.
Anyway, cool, but I'll probably pick British anyway. Want them to know where I'm from.

the two most boring possible accents for a fantasy game, color me pumped. ah well i guess you cant expect much else than that, since theyve still got to market to the tolkien-esque fantasy crowd and the best way to do so is to keep us in expies of britain with lots of english and american sounding people.
i guess it's fair enough that there's not much else that would fit the races (although i'd be pretty pleased to just have a scottish accent or something i dunno) but still. yawn.

That would be correct.
That said, a Native American accent would be no different than a general American accent.

There's no such thing as a general American accent doe. Whateven, homie?
It's not the same as Standard, if that is what you mean.

It is totally bugging me trying to figure out the VA in the trailer, by the way. It sounds so familiar.

The "general" accent is usually considered the Midwest accent. It isn't colored with any of the usual flavors. It is what appears in most movies and whatnot.

This is why I m happy to play the French version with French voices, it's sooooo stupid to have a game set in middle age and to hear an American US accent, it's just too weird.

The VA in the environment trailer? Whoever it is, it's the same as the PAX Prime demo's Inquisitor voice.

Why would there be an american accent at all? The Humans I'm familiar with in DA:O and DA2 had very particular accents. The over the top french accent make smore sense to go along with the british accent. I'm fairly sure the only american accent I remember from DA:O or DA2 came from the Dwarves. Why would that be an option for anyone but Dwarves? Seems a waste to have an accent for just Dwarves, and odd for what's been the Dwarven accent to be available to something like a Human.
Honestly, all this says to me, is what I've been saying all along. Humans should have remained the only playable race after DA2. It just makes more sense for purposes of resource distribution and consistency of various elements - such as accent.

Qunari also had what sounded like American accents to me.
