I do, but its 2 hours or less a week so the chances of getting in a game with me are low

Stop it!

In all seriousness it's so hard to sustain a lobby for more than 2 or 3 games on PS3 that it's just easier to PUG most of the time.

QFT...Seems like after every good match its WFOP

I have slightly over 1500 hours and I don't pug by myself anymore, it's horrible and really boring. I will pug with a friend, though. And if we don't feel like playing with pugs we duo. So much fun! :)

I think I've bumped into you in a PuG once or twice before ... remember being unable to read you name without hearing in the voice of the Heavy from TF2 ... and chuckling to myself ... I need to get out more! :D

If 2153 hours counts - then me :P

... though I made the mistake of starting another game of Civ 5 so I've not been on for a couple of days ... just ... one ... more ... turn!

I think I have played at most 3 games of Civ 5 (hated it) but have the same number of hours in Civ IV as ME3, which is way too many.  Oh ... and I almost always PUG.

This. When hosting I'm shocked if I make it three games without getting locked in that "waiting for other players" screen after the match. Plus the invites take so long to accept on the ps3. I'd much rather pug and then sit in the lobby and watch someone switch back and forth between the avenger and shuriken for 5 minutes. "But they are both so good, if only I could carry two weapons.."

I've pretty much always PUGged. I like the variety, the uncertainty of it. And joining other players through the Origin Friend List is very unreliable anyway.

Only 1200 hours, but I still pug.

The only things that bug me are the glitchers and the score-whorers who don't help on revives or objectives.

Objectives I can agree with, but in a PUG revives often cost consumables (ops, gels, and/or missiles) that could make a difference in later waves. That said, if they drop within a reasonable distance and don't have a ton around them there should be an attempt to revive. I used to kind of test people and see if they were willing to gel or not back when I did PUG a fair amount. If they wouldn't gel, I figured they were not worth risking anything and often times I was correct with that. If they did gel, I made a lot more effort to get them up as it was clear they were in it to win.

On topic: I don't really PUG anymore. I play this game to play with friends at this point and often times I can't even stay connected to a game due to freezing or disc read errors, so it isn't really worth trying to play alone even. I have done a few here and there when I was really bored though, so I can't say I never do it, it is just extremely rare for me now.

Closing in on 1000 hours. The majority of my games these days are in PUGs. Someone mentioned it earlier, but I do enjoy the unknown element. If I bump into people I know or who are really good it takes some of the tension and risk out of the game. I usually leave those lobbies after one game in search of more unpredictable results.

Nope. Only the power of friendship can convince me to load up Mass Effect 3.

When Civ 5 came out it seemed a little "lacking" compared to Civ 4 - some of the depth and complexity from the 4th game was missing ... but I much, MUCH prefer the combat (it's more tactical rather than "create a huge stack and roflstomp everything") so I stuck with it - 2 expansions later and we've got religion and espionage back (for better or worse) and I think it compares much more favourably to Civ 4 now - I reckon I've still got well over 1000 hours in each mind O_o

The diplomacy is still largely b*llocks though - the AI all seem to be conniving, backstabbing sociopaths ... but then, considering I decided to annihilate everybody in the last game when they imposed a global trade embargo on me (Domination victory ahoy), I'm probably not best placed to comment on the sanity of the AI!

Anyway - enough derailment :)

I'm above 2000 hours. I still PUG, but not a lot (maybe one gold game per day). The most part of my playtime is shared between platinum team games with friends and solos.

I can't say I have played a lot in the past few months. I usually play with at least 1 friend but I still like pugging when I can. It's an exciting experience. You get to remember that you can carry a game for people who need you to. You also get to realize that you can still fail a gold game.

After some friends stopped playing, I used to pug 90% of the time, which was easier in platinum for some reason. Lately though I'm finally playing with friends again.

840 hours on the PC and I find its easier to pug than get a lobby together, especially when with origin being what it is there's no guarantee the people I invite would even be able to join anyway.

Still PUG, but prefer playing with at least one friend.
