I expirienced some serious FPS drops last night puging. It doesn't seem to be lag though. It mostly happens when I meet all other players in a crowd. Otherwise it's all normal when I'm alone on the other side far from everyone else but as soon as we all meet - I start to lose frames.

I moved to a bigger monitor and naturally bigger resolution so might that be the case?

Perhaps it is an issue of the drivers. Are they up to date, did you check them? Or perhaps the processor doesn't like the monitor, although I doubt that this is the case.

If you're playing on a higher res, odds are it's just lag and nothing weird. How are your frames when you're by yourself but with multiple enemies on-screen?

so am I.  Have been playing this game since outset and it has never been as bad as past few months.  It is getting really annoying.

Also random disconnects which also never had.

All my stuff is no older than 3 months and software/drivers utd.  I do feel its an EA thing because pinging Easo.ea.com gives some very high ping times, like 100+

did you check your display settings in the control panel?  couldnt hurt to verify it is rendering at the new screen resolution.

The game is designed in such way way that if you are not a host you will not do your best. As a result I am always carring. (never sober)

Don't get get why there is no  "beat your teammate" challenge. it would've been so popular. Much more popular than score X-hits with you gun.

Good for you. I get FPS drops even when I'm alone or I solo. :P

Did you just change from 1920x1024 to 2560x1440 when moving up to the 27" monitor?  Could be your GPU isn't quite up to the task of QHD at the settings you had before.  Try turning off shadows and whatnot, and worst case, dig into the gamersettings.ini...

Less shaky than when there are other players around. But it doesn't seem to be lag, it would be noticeable on throws and such.

Last night I had 5 DCs in 3 minutes. When it stabilized, I managed to get in game but DCd early wave 2. Next game went all the way, then the next was a DC in early waves...

What exactly do you mean, and how do I check that?

Your monitor has a "native resolution", or a resolution that is an exact fit into the available screen space.  Go into your Control Panel, and somewhere under Appearance and Personalization, you will find Display options.  One of which is Screen Resolution.  Make sure the settings match the native resolution of your new monitor.

If you have Nvidia Control Panel installed, check in there too.

In both cases, you'll first need to know what your new monitor's native resolution is, of course.

Another memory-conserving trick is to make sure that your computer is running 16-bit color mode, not 32-bit color mode.  True color is 32-bit, or 32 million hues.  16-bit omits half of those, and your eyes/brain won't even notice the difference.  You'll find this setting under the Advanced link in the Display options.
