You need to differentiate between our reality, and the "reality" and rules inside the universe in which our story is being told.

The existanse of magic for example, would simply be another rule of reality in said universe.

However, aside from something obvious like magic, the rest of the rules would be rather simialr to our own reality - unless specified otherwise.

We could also consider the role of gameplay-story segregation.
For example, in the DA novels a Mage could take several enemies down with a well-placed fireball. In the game, even standard enemies can withstand one or two fireballs to the face.
This happens because combat in a game needs to be balanced, but it does come across as rather 'unrealistic', even within DA's own established lore/physics/reality, when compared to how the books handle combat.

The problem with women being as strong as men in DA is that in such case men in DA world are full of fluff and women hard as rocks. Since there is a obvious physical size difference between men and women.

Women, on average, have a lower upper body strength than men. But we can only talk about averages, as there obviously are plenty of female bodybuilders.

Their lower body strength can usually match that of a male. Of course, we are not typically wielding weapons with our lower body. :)

That's where kicking comes in. Of course, if your fighting style incorporates it.

You also can try and crush enemies with your thighs, but you need to get them in a prone position, usually, first.
