I have $10 to spend on my Xbox account and I want to either get Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker or Mass Effect 3: Leviathan. I have played through the trilogy a couple times already. Which is best to get?

Thanks

Lair of the Shadow Broker is action-heavy and lore-lite. Leviathan is lore-heavy and action-lite. If you enjoy lore more than action, get Leviathan. If you enjoy action more than lore, get Shadow Broker.

I would get Leviathan. It has some good gameplay and adds a couple of lines when talking with the catalyst.

Lair of the Shadow Broker is a must have if you like Liara. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I had in a Mass Effect game. Leviathan is okay, but falls just short of LOTSB.

personally I'm an action guy, and I find Leviathan extremely boring. back n forth with EDI searching around for clues at the lab, then sitting there and listening to Leviathan yap on and on about the Reapers.

doesn't even begin to compare fighting around Illium, driving a cab like Corben Dallas in the Fifth Element and combat on top of a spaceship in the middle of a storm. too much yapping in Leviathan.

LofSB offers many nice bennies besides the mission. You can reset your squadmate powers. You can get an additional upgrade for all your weapons. Planet scanning can be reduced because of the minerals delivered to you on each trip. You can also buy the location of a planet that has lots of a specific mineral you need. The DLC also significantly alters the dialogue in ME3.

LotSB is pretty much universally hailed as the best DLC in the series.

Between the two, I prefer LOTSB.  Also think the ability to retrain squadmate powers in ME2 is actually a bit better than the Leviathan weapon mods, at least relative to importance of gameplay in each.

Personally I'd prefer Lair of the Shadow Broker, although Leviathan is quite good.  LotSB is a must if you're a fan of Liara, and also explains her new role in ME3.  Leviathan gives you lore about the origin of the Reapers.  LotSB is one long side-mission, whereas Leviathan is split into several short missions which you can either do all at once or scattered in between your other missions.

Thanks for all your helpful comments. I am going to get LotSB. It seems to be the more liked one and its like Liara is just sitting there at her office in Illium waiting for Shepherd to ask for her help and I also want to know how she came about her role in ME3.

I'm sort of surprised people would suggest Leviathan. I feel like LotSB was intended to be played at least sometime in the years before ME3 released so for that reason, I'd say play in release order. On top of that, it had some fantastic moodiness on Illium, some mature storytelling and gap-bridging with Liara, and is one of the series' best DLCs. All of them are worth owning for completeness, but I would go in release order.

I'd pick Mass Effect 2: Liar of Shadow broker as I'm a bigger fan of Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan is also great.. so its pretty much up to you.

I got every DLC there is and it just matches & fits the story.

Little cash gotta' to be dropped, but in the end you will enjoy your game-play through Mass Effect universe.

Both are very good and well worth the 10$. I would say, since LOTSB is older, you should get it first, catch up on ME2, then get Leviathan later.

I'd vote for Liar of The Shadow broker. If you don't have Overload..you should get it as well.

Everything for Mass Effect 2 - its cooler than Mass Effect 3 and larger if you look at it.
