Puppeteer. the word is puppeteer.

Warden, as always my choice.

Oh, fine. Puppeteer it is. ;)

I did a fem dwarf commoner playthrough with the cocky voice set (Dual-wield rogue, Duelist, Assassin).  It didn't sound like Jack.  Oddly enough, I had more trouble beating Loghain with her than with any of my other Wardens.

It's definitely her. Courtenay Taylor. If you play female, of course. They kind of raised the pitch a bit, I think..made her a little "squeakier", but bits of Jack come through sometimes.

Cocky male Dwarf is Sovereign, funnily.

Can you actually use Shale? That seems kind of unfair, especially since this is such a high-stakes duel. You could just wander the land challenging people to duels, and at the last second name your bloody pet golem as your champion. Someone needs to lay down some ground rules for these duels. The first can be, "No sentient mountains allowed."

LMFAO!!!  Soda just came out my nose.  I lurve you Zazzerka...will you marry me now? :P  If not, can I at least use that as my siggie "No senient mountains allowed!" XD

Mostly I like to fight him with my warden, Alistair at times. I did use Zevran once, that was funny.

It was always my warden.  She wanted to personally fight and execute Loghain for his involvement with the slavers (story reason) and I had fun running around until Loghain switched to his crossbow and my warden beating him with ranged attacks.

I used Morrigan (arcane warrior) once just for fun but reloaded the game so my warden would be the one to beat Loghain.

I mix it up.  I always have Alistair duel him on my mage runs.  Mostly from an RP standpoint, I feel it works out better.  Mages don't have the best PR in Thedas to begin with, and a one on one mano a mano fight between two warriors seems to be the best for that situation.  If I want Alistair on the throne, I harden him, if I prefer Anora, I leave him unhardened, so I can control who takes the throne.

On my Cousland, it's always my Warden who fights him, rogue or warrior.

I once let my dog do the fight.  But it depends.  If I want to support Alistair as King, I have him fight. If Alistair is going to marry Anora I do it.   I've always felt Alistair and my warden had the best reason for fighting Loghain.

Primarily I use my warden. I think I've only made it to the landsmeet with 4 PC's (Human twice, Dalish, and City Elf) So they always had powerful reasons to

My warden usually. I have no idea how to play rogues or warriors. I struggled through the fight once with Alistair cause I thought it would look better, than my mage burning him to death, i guess. But it was horrible, agh.

Warden, Sten, Oghren, or Arcane Mage Wynne in Legion of the Dead armor (I like the sheer WTF).

The man-child doesn't deserve the honor of facing Loghain.

My warden.

Especially when she's a CE rogue or a CE mage. Kicks Loghain's ass so hard.

Human Noble Warrior is also fun to kick his ass as.

It`s always my warden that duels him. I always see it as the final trial to prove who deserves to become the commander of the Ferelden army. And unless i want Alistair to marry Anora, it`s always him that execute Loghain.

I went looking through my screencaps for one of the grrr face, and noticed - for the first time, and after umpty-ump playthroughs -  that the sword used to execute Loghain is the Oathkeeper model... which, of course, is Duncan's sword. (A very big d'oh indeed! Slow tsm is, as usual, slower than most anyone.)

(Laerwen is not impressed by this shem'len nonsense. Also, Clown!Suit!Guy really adds to the moment, doesn't he? :?)

I really wish they didn't use that two handed sword. He pulls it out of nowhere.... it's so weird.

The noble clothing is horrific at best. EWWW clown!

Only thing is if you let alistair kill him he gets very dumb about things and it can really mess with your romance. God forbid you are a cousland who was taking the thrown with him....

Ditto that greatsword everyone grabs to kill the Archdemon. It's probably to eliminate any weirdness that might happen if they used whatever weapons Alistair/The Warden have equipped... like if they have daggers instead of swords. Or mage!Warden having to bludgeon Loghain's head off with a staff. (And imagine if they have no weapons at all and it reverts to fists! Though Alistair could totally handle that, based on having seen him barehand the Trickster Whims to death once when someone *cough cough who might have been me cough cough* forgot to give him a sword and shield.)

(LOL spellcheck wants to change 'Archdemon' to 'Archdeacon".)

At least when the kill the archdemon the sword is pulled from a corpse on the ground right in front of you. I have no idea where it comes from in the landsmeet because nobody I came with is carrying one. Generally I just go with alistair as it seems silly to bring everyone else. But on the rare occasion I do bring someone else it's generally zevran (to shove it in his face that the assassin he hired to kill me is now working with me and against him - love to play psych out with NPCs.... ). There's a sort of poetic beauty in that.

My Warden always fights Loghain. That way the Landsmeet power stays in my hands where it belongs. Hey, throughout the entire game everyone expects me to take care of everything, so why relinquish power when it's really useful? My current character snarks at people every time they ask her to find their "Lost Bag of Holding" or their mother's favorite bowl or to rescue their foolish friend/relative from some idiotic situation they have gotten themselves into. I always do the quests because I'm a completionist, but I love it when someone wonders if they can ask me to do some menial task, and I get to say something along the lines of, "Why not? Everyone else does."

As for who executes Loghain (assuming I don't make him a Warden, which doesn't happen very often), it depends on whether or not Alistair is hardened, whose marriage I'm arranging, and my current mood. However, 99 percent of the time I'm still the one that gives him the fatal neck chop unless I'm playing a male Cousland who wants to be king. That's about the only time I don't behead Loghain myself (and I make sure to keep Alistair unhardened, so he doesn't go off and assume the throne automatically).

I dunno... it makes no sense to me for the Warden (or Alistair) to throw away their weapon at that critical moment and grab a corpse!sword. I guess I just don't have a very good imagination.  (In addition to being slow on the up take.)

Also, don't get me started on Teh Murder Knife... WHERE DO THEY COME FROM???? Some invisible back sheath? Is it a Ferelden thing? And why is Isolde carrying? WHHHHYYYYY????

Edit because spelling.

Well you do need a massive sword to at least penetrate through a thick archdemon skin. What I cant fathom is the depth of the wardens or alistairs bum in the landsmeet where they pulled out that massive duncan's sword from O.o
