Ok with as epic as the launch trailer is, why in God's name would it not be on TV???? It's well worth them paying for the marketing because guaranteed it will up sales tremendously. The only ones watching the online trailer are diehard ME fans like us and people we show. On TV people that don't own a 360 or ME1 will likely be hit with how amazing it looks and not only buy ME2 but probably ME1. All around it will boost sales and introduce the game to those that don't know ME exists.
No TV trailer launch for ME2????

Completely agreed. This is one trailer (if shortened to commercial size) that would impress a heck of a lot of people I know, and even at least slightly legitimize the game to older generations as well (Gen X'ers and older far more into Star Trek/Wars, and maybe not into sci-fi at all)

they're actually going to air it during the 4th quarter of the NFC Championship this Sunday, the 24th.

I'd like to see it in some movie theaters to be honest, but it's a little close to release for that.

I've seen a few commercials on G4. Nothing on mainstream network TV tho.
Actually, the best time to carpet bomb a video game for advertising is like 1 week to a month AFTER release. The idea is that fans will already buy up most of the original release stock and you are advertising on TV for NEW customers (not existing fans). Also, advertisng something that isn't in stores yet is risky (the exception to that are movies...but they aren't actual physical products and it's expected in that industry). It's also expected in the gaming industry, but in mainstream TV marketing, it's considered pretty stupid to advertise something that a customer can't walk out the door and obtain NOW.
Seriously, why would any company waste marketing dollars on US (fans on a forum site)? We are already money in the bank....advertising should be aimed at generating new revenue. Ask Sega about how successful marketing to your fans is....Apple used to do the same thing, but smartened up (a bit).

Ooo, Ooo, really? NFC championship eh? Ordinarily, I'd skip football unless the 49'ers are playing (what can I say, I've been a longtime and currently long-suffering fan), but it might be worth putting up with whoever's playing to see it on tv.

On [Adult Swim] and Spike TV the FFTL commercials and gamestop commercial play on almost every commercial break, and many times more than one in the same break.
Especially on [Adult Swim].

Agreed about the after release. In fact, we know Mordin has a FFTL still for a poster, and I've seen a Samara one too. Maybe they have more to advertise
