I really hope this is not the case; I just don't want to my quizzy to be the one to make massive state decisions like this. I mean, what does some Dalish hunter know or care about Orlesian politics? Sure, he can choose to support one or the other, but decide who's on the throne? I'm worried the writers listened too much to the DA2 haters and are moving away from the Hawke type anti-hero to the more traditional "I AM THE SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE/GOD OF THEDAS" Warden type character who makes all major state decisions and is just in general the most badass person to ever walk the planet lol

I don't think we'll have the power to 'choose' the ruler as we did in DAO, expecially since the context is different. We didn't have the the choice to support Anora prior to the Landsmeet, while we might be able to do so in DAI, and the choice in support would lead to the one we supported to be the ruler.
The Inquisitor seems to be different from Hawke though. He's a special snowflake from the start, since the reason he seems to become the leader of the Inquisition is because we're the only known being in Thedas able to stop the Fade tears. And as the leader of the Inquisition we'll likely have far more power than Hawke did.

Oh Lola! RIGHT IN THE FEELS!  :crying:

Well, you know how it is. Ditch the zero and get with the hero, the hero being GE's character (cos he's far cuter)! Y'know, someone told me to do that once... turned out the hero was actually the villain... On the plus side, being with that villain led me to discover Dragon Age so it wasn't a complete dramatic waste of my time!

This, but not so much at the power thing, more at the coming out of the Fade alive thing, (depending on how its handled and what actually happens, obviously). My first three Inquisitors would definitely be quite worried by the Fade Hand and worried they'd been possessed. I'd like to have so e option to worry about it openly rather than just internally/headcononally.

Well, I think I'd be like "uh... is this sh!t gonna need stitches?" But I'm planning to playing a mage first so I guess it wouldn't be quite so unusual for her, lol.

Would be cool say a few missions in you have a cut scene where your inquisitor is off on their own and breaks down from all that has happened. Maybe have the options on whether to keep to yourself for a while or to just go back to the current mission. Like ME2/3 mid scene decisions, you have a certain amount of time to deicide? I know that I'll want some characters to be more upset than others.

Even though I have not seen the movie (because I dislike my history movies being over shadowed by love stories *shakes fist at the new Pompeii movie*) I can say that the fact that it looked like there was enough room and they didn't even try bothers me. :P But who would have thought to put the life vest under the debris?

But it's got "Jon Snuh" in it!

You know, Mythbusters actually did this one. Seems there was enough room, but to survive would have required that they put Rose's lifevest underneath it.   ^_^
*snip*

Of course It wouldn't have been as successful if jack had lived, that scene certainly caused many feels!
Although the only scene that actually made me sob was, when the last rescuing boat found all the people who died before getting to Rose.

I'd like to see some scripted incidences where the enemy does get one-up on us (like during the Skyhold attack) during which a lot of npcs die that we can't save, I'd like the option to display grief and guilt and confide in our companions/LIs that we feel helpless and don't have a clue what we're doing, I want the option to get mad as hell when we make a royal **** up or learn about one of the enemies successfully capturing one of our strong holds etc, I want to crack a joke at an inappropriate time and get told off for it, and most of all I want the option to mourn and even cry when someone close to us dies

If I accidentally kill Cullen through my choices I will probably curl up in a ball for the good part of a week...probably only a few hours, but still.

As much as I'll hate Bioware for it, I'll also love them for it, purely because there has only been one other game that has made me cry in my life (alongside watching youtube videos of Alistair sacrificing himself for the warden).  I think it's amazing they can twist my emotions like that.  It's one of my top reasons why I like Bioware so much.  There's nothing like a game that can squeeze the soul out of you, yet still make you want to continue on with the game.

F***. YOU. ROSE.  :crying:

She let him die to put the moves on GE's character then?

LOL Well, to be fair, they would have had to know that about the lifevest, whilst trying not to freeze to death and not go into shock. Plus a few other caveats. But... yeah, at this point... I'd take GE any day.  ^_^ Sexy dads are sexy. And, I don't care if he stops by and sees that. Ahem.  <_<

CULLEN [BORED]: So... do you think Andraste was a virgin? She was the Maker's bride... what do you think that means? Lol

LOL Yeah, I wrote a story based on this line recently. It's awesome [the line I mean... not the story... altho the story's not too shabby... ahem...].

I could. I suppose I could figure out how to isolate the audio. I've never done much video processing, but I *think* it's possible, right? Although... there is definitely a way to convert MP4 to MP3 audio only, so it's probably easier than I think.

This may  be a dumb, obvious suggestion, but have you cracked open the toolset to get the audio? I know Vieralynn has all the actual audio, such as the virgin line she posted on her tumblr, and I thought that was done via the toolset...?

That reminds me of how much I liked the renegade choices in ME3 when people asked how you were coping. The paragon ones were sort of okay, but not emotional enough for me, (I want to cry in a Bioware game!) but the kind of bluffy I'm fine renegade responses were much more effective and telling in my eyes.

For me was the scene in the end where the musicians start playing the violin and they show the people who is left behind. The image of the older couple embracing themselves waiting for the boat to sink still gives me chills.

Haha, I did that in my first Origins playthrough.  I didn;t harden Alistair or make my Warden Queen.  The heartbreak I felt when I spoke to Alistair at the camp in a last ditch-attempt to get him back together with me still haunts me.  And it's not even real!  Eurgh, honestly, I was more angry with him at that point so I reloaded way WAY back to before Goldanna just so my Warden ended up with him haha.  Looking back now I could have made Anora Queen, but she majorly rubbed me up the wrong way.  Ah, those bitter-sweet angst-y feels

I'd be fine with choices having harsh consequences on my character and his/her loved ones. Though I doubt that DAI would beat my ME trilogy run where Colonist/SS Shepard lost all his loved ones.

I'd love to see a scene like that where he/she just breakdowns when they've got 5 minutes of alone time to themself.

I'd also like to see a scene where the Inquisitor is standing out on the balcony of his/her room staring off into the distance looking pensive (maybe with a few audio flashbacks of people who have died saying stuff etc) and then the love interest comes out to join her/him and from behind puts his/her arms around our character, nuzzles her/his neck and asks if she/he is ok, to which we can reply accordingly and have some sort of heart to heart and voice what's on our mind.

My god, I hate having to do the him/her he/she his/hers thing it ruins the flow of what I'm trying to say, LOL!

What does he say in camp when you make a last ditch attempt to get them back together? (Obviously he says no, but what are his exact words? Is he sad?)

I totally second that!Bioware games are known to hit right in the feels which is rather difficult to achieve, although I wouldn't like Cullen to die, watching my favourite characters die becomes really annoying after some point.

The only bit that made me cry was when all the people that couldn't get out of the ship just resided themselves to the fact they were going to die and awaited their deaths, like the old couple and the mother with the children as the captain and the musicians all opted to stay and go down with it. That was brutal!

Oh I found video in youtube about Wynne revealing Gregoir and other templars that you are blood mage after broken circle. If you don't persuade them that you were using just some spooky grey warden magic or that Wynne was seeing wrong they will confront you and try to kill you. You have to kill all templars in the hall including Cullen D: So even Cullen can die in DAO! Glad that he has plot armor :)

It's intresting to find things like this in the game. Even if I have played the game so many times I had no idea that can happen! :D

Huh, that is so interesting. I didn't know that the Grey Wardens only have one mage at a time. I wonder if that's still true.

Ooh, I love that! It's going to be so strange (and awesome) the first time we actually experience Cullen kissing the Inquisitor without mods to do so! I can't wait to hear this romantic/raunchy/mushy dialogue GE was talking about!
