I thought that they were talking about the dialogues with companions outside of the keeps with ambient dialogue.

It was, but if there's going to be very little ambient dialogue and the possibility of our advisor's doing more than just standing in one spot then in theory they'd likely interact with other npcs and companions when we're dossing around the Skyhold.

I sure hope so. ME3 was certainly a step in the right direction. DA2 shown sometimes companions interacting with each others during dialogues, but it wasn't enough, in my opinion.

oooohhh culeney

We do try to keep it moderately culeney, though we taste test often as the flavor can be pretty overwhelming.

Welcome. ;)

As long as it isn't copying Alistair's rose (I never fangirled as hard as I did then) then I'd be thrilled  :D I think it would be funny if he gave a mage inquisitor a whetstone and they're just like 'What am I supposed to do with this?  Oh dear, I love awkward moments so much.

I just hope that whatever it is will be meaningful... ideally I'd like it to be something that he's kept with him for years to help him through the dark times, something that he's literally worn or kept in his pocket every day since he got it/found it. That way when he does gift it to the Inquisitor it's not only meaningful but a defining moment in his story arc because he feels strong enough and progressed enough in his own personal journey to pass it on, specifically to someone who he cares about a great deal.

Oh I loved that moment with Alistair, roses are my favourite btw,But I wouldn't like to see something similar again.I was thinking something along the lines of what Hawke did for his/her followers in DA2 something that will mean something to the inquisitor according to their origins/class/background. But as nice as it sounds,I think it might be rather difficult to implement.

yea thats pretty much what I've said only different wording.. I dont want our Li to give us something that he/she found in a random place or on some dead corpse and say "hey here ya go have a ball"  I want it to actually mean something to both of them

I did find the offer to teach Fenris to read very touching and personal. Just between the two of them. Something private like that would be swoon worthy to me. Although, at the moment I couldn't give an example without having the story yet for reference.

I think it'd be amazing if it was something like that.  And hey, if the inquisitor can hug him after it then my gaming life would be complete.  I'd like to see how they actually play that out though if they do something like this.  I'm thrilled that Cullen is a LI, even more so because even though we know about him, we don't know how he'd act and react in certain situations, especially a romance seen as we literally know nothing about his romantic side.

...can anyone make October come quicker?

I wished they'd showed that in a cutscene though. I wonder what sort of thing we could do for Cullen that would be along the same lines? Maybe teach him to dance? LOL!

Haha same.  I think it was that combined what he said that made me love his character so much.  And true it would be, but they've done it before.  Then again, they may try a different angle completely.  Oh the anticipation <3

It's a surreal feeling, isn't it. On the one hand we feel like we know this character so well, he's familiar and he's been there across all 3 games, yet we know so little about him and have no real idea what he's like "off duty", especially since the last time we had to the chance to encounter him on a more personal basis was when he was very young, naive and skittish which likely has little baring on his personality now (the slight awkwardness and flustered stuttering aside).

This!Even if that slight awkwardness/shyness is still there,I'm almost certain he'll be far more emotionally mature this time.

You have been given the difficult task of writing all of Cullen's dialogue.

How would you present this character?

What changes would he make from DA2 to DAI?

How would you make him interact with The Inquisitor and companions?

What impact would he have on the story?

Would you make him a potential party member?

If yes, what would his unique companion combat specialisation tree be?

if your inq is gonna be a woman and she "required" to shave her back... then that would be pretty gross.. but if its a man.. well.. its not that uncommon even if  it may seem gross  a lot of men "produce" hair in different parts of their body witch I can understand but honestly it wouldn't be as gross

It is actually.  Scarily so.  Sometimes it's difficult to separate headcanons from things that have actually happened in the game, but I'm sure the DA team will be able to not only pull it off but play skip rope with it (as my Dad would say).

I have to say though, I'm REALLY looking forward the stuttering stage again.  Though I really enjoy the idea of him being much more confident now and more aware, I also like the idea of him reverting back to that "naive Templar who wanted to become a knight"  :P

oh ok, well in that case, personally I don't really see  Cullen as being TOO hairy... weather thats just my imagination talking  or perhaps fact? Idk  he just doesn't seem like the hairy type to me... but if he is.. then.. better have some fun with that blade while sharpening it on his back then.. :P
