So, now that I seem to have Nathaniel Howe out of my system for a minute, I'm actually writing about Cullen. It's probably gonna take ages, so maybe I will have it for the 2000th page celebration.

 

Here's the first sentence though.

 

'Maybe I am the Maker's harbinger of doom. Where I am, destruction follows.' Cullen thought to himself as he stared blankly at the steaming "statue" that was his erstwhile Knight-Commander.

I wonder if that's what he thinks of himself to some degree? I dunno if they'd play the whole "Don't get involved with me because I'm scared that my curse will destroy you too" card again after Anders and Fenris, but you never know.

I dunno. But I was thinking about what would be his very *first* incongruous "shock thought" and that's where that came from.  He's a strong, strong man, mentally. I think, by the time our Inquisitor meets him, he'll be alright. 

 

I know, though, that romancing him will have some feels to it. That's how the writers roll, and part of why I keep romancing fools in their games.

LOL, me neither! I do wonder what kind of "angst" is going to come with it though? I mean, DG did say that he "predicted" angst in his future, but whether or not that extends to his romance arc will be intriguing to say the least.

 

I definitely wouldn't want him to be super easy to romance though, I'd like at least a bit of a challenge... I'm just not entirely sure what they'd run with? I mean, yeah he's been through a lot already but what sorts of "difficulties/problems" could they add to the romance without it feeling like it's already been done with previous LIs? Obviously there's the mage thing, but that would only work with a mage Inquisitor... Hmmm.

Yeah, I guess it'll remain a mystery until we play the game. It's funny, I used to have loads of ideas for why his romance could be angsty but now we know more about the game I can't actually see any reason why it would be, beyond perhaps the possibility that he's closed himself off for so long that we'd have to break down his defenses or something? But even that feels a bit too much like Anders.

I'm not sure when I'll be conscious enough to get online, so don't think I died if it's been 2 weeks. It's pretty low risk, but long recovery, so I'll probably miss so much it'll take forever to catch up on the news. If someone could volunteer to send me links to videos, tweets, and credible articles I'd be super grateful.

It's super quiet in here currently... I guess it's the calm before the E3 storm, right?

 It's like I'm holding my breath.  I lurk and read everything you guys say.  Someone always says what I'm thinking, tho, so it's like I'm sitting here in a little heap, not really having anything new or interesting to add to the conversation ...and just waiting.  I think my speculator might be broken.  When something new and substantial comes along, it's going to so much fun to pick it apart with you guys. *sigh*  It's going to be a long ten days.

I hope the Cullen relationship doesn't have too much angst. A few heartbreaking moments I could stand, as long as we get a happy ending at the end.

I actually have to say though, that every single one of the companions/advisers intrigue me at the moment. Without knowing more about them, at this stage I'll be happy with whichever of them become available Cullen will still be my first playthrough LI though regardless

They said they were working on a new way of introducing the companions which would reveal them all before release, but then they went verrrrry quiet about ti and started showing off locations instead.

when I asked I got this answer,  also said that it may be this month but I doubt ****** seein as E3 is coming soon so they might be preparing for that
