So maybe around August, if we get one at all.

There was one of DA2 which went down like a lead balloon except for the people who had faith it would be fixed by release (it was not). Don't recall a demo of DA:O but there may have been one.The DA2 one was about 3 months before release I think.
I'd be quite suprised if there was a DA:I demo.

I'd expect maybe the Keep going public around August. But if we were to get an actual demo, I'd say late August, early September.

I'd heard that the DA:O one was just the character creator or something? But I wasn't around for that, so I've no idea.

Possibly! Maybe we'll find out at this EA/E3 event!

This is an interesting question. I wonder if he's an ambitious guy. I always think of his rapid rise up the ranks in Kirkwall as something pushed upon him by Meredith. But what if it was also something he wanted himself? Could he have engineered it himself? Hmm. Haven't thought about that possible angle on him.
I thought he was an ambitious guy since he tried to order Greagoir around
And later in the epilogue Cullen replaced Greagoir. It was retconned in DAII (although I still think it can happen in the next 10 years or so), but it was the kind of potential Cullen had in him.
In DAII there's also something in the way he describes his job, that it's not for those who have a strong sense of achievement, like he totally has that sense, and he's gotten to the highest possible rank, and it annoys him that he's stuck now, and his career doesn't develop further no matter what he does. So I find it quite possible that when Cassandra offered him to lead an elite group of templars (speculating here), he got excited about it, because it meant that he would be in charge!
lol, imagine that he took all his girl-templars from the Gallows with him! And when we first arrive to the Skyhold, it's full of lady-templars (because his girls grew up). And Varric starts to call them Cullen's battle harem. And the Inquisitor assumes that Cullen is a pimp, and things get awkward when she's trying to flirt with him, because he gets all, "OMG, did she just flirt with me?
What should I do? Where's the exit?"

There was, I even got to play with it a little, although I wasn't expecting DAO at all, and I don't remember when the CC was released. Hm, I remember I was completely indifferent to all news about DAO, because I thought BioWare would never finish this game, and it will be just Mass Effect until the end of time.

Yeah, like the one they showed at PAX Prime. It's doubtful that we'll be able to play it ourselves or anything.

I agree, truth be told Cullen appears to be extremely dedicated to his duty as a templar,in fact he appears to be the Thedosian version of a workaholic and he rose through the ranks rather quickly.
I'd say that somebody who works his way up and is fully dedicated to what he does, not to mention his slightly bitter remark about the templar's duty not being suitable for someone with a strong sense of achievement,is certainly ambitious.
Although I'd say this applies more for his DAO self while in DA2 he seems to put duty above personal ambitions, since he's now able to see the larger picture about why templars are needed.
I think leadership will suit him, just look how imposing he looks in the DAI last supper-scene,ok he also looks bored but still imposing. xD

Hmm, could very well be. I guess I didn't interpret his comment about how the templars are not for those who require a strong sense of achievement as him being bitter about his lot, tho. He was bitter, sure, but seemingly more about how their job had no endgame and how underappreciated they were. How no one appreciates how hard their job is and how the best "success" they can have is to have curtailed someone's freedom for their rest of their lives without anyone dying in the process.
He strikes me more as the kind of guy who would lead because there was no one better, not because he's been gunning for the job. Given his seeming deference for Greagoir, I don't really imagine him counting the days til the dude retires and he can take over. But! I could see him being at the point of having enough of his own ideas about how it should be done that he'd like to take a crack at it. He's certainly seen enough unsuccessful examples of leading a Circle to intrigue him that he could do a better job. Maybe leading the military pillar of the Inquisition is his chance.

It's gonna feel absolutely surreal when we actually do play it.
That being said, I think the wait was even worse when we first saw that Fall 2014 at the end of the trailer last summer.

This seems about right. My own install of the demo is dated Feb 23, 2011, and the game came out Mar 8, 2011. So only about two weeks in advance.
I personally loved the demo, but I also question whether there will be a playable demo this time given how much was leaked from the demo files last time. I'm just hoping for a cc so we can have our characters ready to go. Maybe we could even do that as part of the Keep!!! (Lola, blink once for Yes, and twice for No!
)
