I think I must be the only one clinging desperately to hope of a Cullen romance since I literally do not find any of the proposed male characters attractive *sighs deeply*

 

Um... nope! Unless there's an intriguing female romance, Cullen is probably the only one I'll bother with. I may dabble with the others, just to see what kind of story they have but, so far, none of them have the potential to upset the "intended romantic romance" the way Zev did.

anyways guys I have to start drawing a lot...everyday for my figure drawing class (to improve and get that A) and i need subjects to practice on....so give me a cullen picture idea to practice creating non real people!!!!

Not really... he could be just for female inquisitors  AND when asked the response was that we'd have to wait until the game ships to find out. Ugh.

 

Oh, right.   Okay, rationalization time!

 

We have to assume several things here: 1) Dragon Age team reverted back to having separate sexualities. How likely is this? Not very, I feel, as they have claimed they have not increased the overall word budget for romances. Unless DAI romances are significantly less expensive that DA2 romances, I think we're safe there.

 

And 2) that they would make Cullen straight. The only way I see this happening is if there are only four LI and Cullen is the NPC, or if there are six LI and Cullen is a companion. I don't think either of these are likely, the first because having only one companion LI per gender would anger the base, and the second because I think six LI are unlikely.

LOL You know, this is just what DG talks about, us totally making up the characters before we've met them. But... :shrug: it would be fun to imagine him and Vivienne as bitter, yet funny, rivals.

 

But it's sooo much fun! It's those who take their internalized "what ifs" to the point of believing it's canon that fit DG's concerns, I think. We all know we have to take ourselves with a bucket of salt.

Unless we get another human male with LI potential or Beardy Grey Warden is announced as an LI, then Cullen has to be a companion. No matter how 'unconventional' the romance options this time around, there's no way that we won't have at least a human to pick from.

But I'm confident he's a companion anyway, so it's not really saying much coming from me.

I wonder if Bioware is going to make romances to have no restrictions or that they will have some like depending on gender, race or even class? I think it'd be intresting idea to have some restrictions.. but then again it's easier to plan your games if there is none ^^ I actually hope Cullen is free for all so I can do many different characters and have them all romance him

Naw, we don't know anything yet. We know Cullen and Cassandra. And not even which genders they'll romance.
