Ah, here we go! I was thinking of this but for some reason I thought she turned to stone in that position, lol.
There are a lot of skulls in the Therinfal Redoubt pictures
And blood. Ugh. Someone had a bad day in that room. ![]()

Lots of sculls, lots of smeared blood and lots of painted eyes on the walls. Creepy place.
I wonder what those creepy wiggly red plants/veins are supposed to be in the Fade? They look like worms in plant form.
My money's on red lyrium, esp after looking at the evil idol again with its creepy crawlies. Creepy viney tentacly red lyrium. :shudder:
And blood. Ugh. Someone had a bad day in that room.
Looks like someone has been performing dodgy rituals in there... looks relatively recent too.

You know, increasingly, the red lyrium we've seen is almost like a parasitic disease the way it seems be growing out of things, everywhere. Maybe that's the way it acts, and why it's so dangerous? I mean, it looks like it's even infected the Fade! ickyickyicky
It reminds me a bit of how the they talked about the Blight in the Calling, how it sounded more like a disease with an agenda of its own.
Yup. Looks like a case of demon worship. I wonder if whoever was in there had something to do with the Seekers considering all the eyes.
Or even creepier, if it has something to do with our quizzy.

I bet it's just from whoever we have to clear out of that Keep before we can take it over.

It's creepy, isn't it. I remember when DAI was first announced and people (haters) thought that the red lyrium/red lyrium idol was just going to be a plot device for DA2 to hand wave the Meredith boss battle... little did they know, eh!

But why the Templar flags? Unless it really was a Red Templar bass and they'd been doing weird rituals in there? Ironic to see Templars doing the very thing they'd been trained to oppose!
Hmm. That statue in the Fade is the same as some statues present in another location shown in the GI coverage.
I was wondering the same. There are some similar ones, but they don't seem identical. These guys seem to have butts and little legs, w hereas the Fade statues have twisty tentacly limbs it seems. But could be.

Pfft. Man, who knows. All I can think is that the demony people (who leave bloody messes and tevinter idols in the chantry) are the 'before' and the templar banners (with the tidier keep) are the 'after'? Neither makes real sense, tho.
I wish they'd tell us the gig with templars and their logos in DA:I.

it's the bloody handprints on the eyeball wall that are freaking me out. Yuck. And the eyeballs look like they were painted on there in blood too. I dunno, blood magic again? Necromancy? Quentin's wacky son Quasimodo looking to continue dad's work?
Red lyrium strands looks like pulsing blood vessels to me, so maybe they're tied to blood magic somehow.

You mean that's not how your parties end?
I think someone clearly had a lot of fun there. Quite a few people were probably hurt and terrified, but at least someone was enjoying themselves ![]()
I actually think it looks mysterious and fascinating, and I'd love to know what was going on, but then I very nearly went into forensics as a career. So I might see things a little differently ![]()

Perhaps they've purposely kept all the Templar logos the same for the moment so as not to spoil anything, and when we play the game they'll all have different ones?

Or maybe it is a red templar keep... and like someone else said (Gala?) maybe they trapped a demon in that room...?

Could be how they've been summoning the Behemoths or something?
Those statues remind me of the "Prothean" statues in Mass Effect.

You know... this really sounds like the best solution. Like how they tricked us with Cassandra and her table stabbing shenanigans.

I want to know why the statue has its hand in its mouth. I can't decide if it feels sick, is in abject despair, or is trying to pull its own head off. Its like the Fade equivalent of the Venus de Milo but with a face Edvard Munch would die for.
