We have to assume several things here: 1) Dragon Age team reverted back to having separate sexualities. How likely is this? Not very, I feel, as they have claimed they have not increased the overall word budget for romances. Unless DAI romances are significantly less expensive that DA2 romances, I think we're safe there.

 

And 2) that they would make Cullen straight. The only way I see this happening is if there are only four LI and Cullen is the NPC, or if there are six LI and Cullen is a companion. I don't think either of these are likely, the first because having only one companion LI per gender would anger the base, and the second because I think six LI are unlikely.

I... did not think of it that way? That's a good point. I mean, of the other two male humans we have, I think DHMG has a look that would make him prime LI material. (dat mustass). If there are only four LI, that dramatically increases Cullen's likelihood of being a companion.
